Monk Windwalker spec lvl 10 ability, costs 3 chi to use.

You can turn without stopping the channeling, and stun is 4 seconds no matter which tick hits the mob, so if you're surrounded just turn around and get a 360° stun.

It has very short range, so it will probably miss mobs with large hitbox.

If you move while channeling Fists of Fury, it breaks the channel.

Technically, this ability should be part of every WW monk's single-target priority list. In practice, it's a DPS loss if you ever have to break the channel, so only use it if you are absolutely 100% positive you will not have to move in the next 4 seconds.

Fists of Fury effectively proportionally scales inversely with gear, because you lose autoattacks and Tiger Strikes while it's active. This means that as you gear up, dropping FoF from your priority is a smaller DPS loss. This DPS loss is only 1.6% in Tier14 heroic mode raid gear, and that number will drop as the expansion progresses.

Edit: This no longer applies when glyphed in WoD, or baseline in Legion.

I know you're suppose to use this when you're at or below 30ish energy, but what about during lust? I'm never sure if I should kick it out of the rotation during that or not since it will absolutely energy cap you during it.

This macro is spammable and sets the condition that you will not be able to cast Fists of Fury until you are no longer casting a channeling spell.

We are not supposed to cast this if our energy will get maxxed out while the channel happens. If we also have Energizing Brew up then it will be tough to be able to cast FoF in this scenario. We should also add an extra second of Energy regeneration to account for the GCD after FoF, to be pedantic.

Doing the maths, we would never cast FoF if Energizing Brew is up for the full 4 seconds and the 1 second afterwards for the GCD.

I compromise. I estimate about 3 seconds worth of Energy during the channel plus 1 second for the GCD = 4 seconds. With EB buff on then I cast FoF if I have less than 20 Energy. With no EB buff then FoF is okay for Energy below 60.

A better way in my opinion is to check things the other way around. Namely, if FoF is coming off CD then don't cast EB just yet.

We are not supposed to cast this if our energy will get maxxed out while the channel happens. This can be calculated as Energy regeneration is based off our Haste but adding in 豪能酒 makes it even more complicated in knowing exactly when it is "safe" to channel FoF.

But since when do we delay a good damage dealing ability purely to help balance one only of our TWO sources of power? Think about it :)

Given that during the 4s FoF channel we will get back a nice amount of Energy anyway, take the approach of delaying Energising Brew, rather than delaying your damage dealing FoF.

Fists of Fury no longer splits its damage "meteor-style" on secondary targets. All enemies in front of you take full damage, making it extremely powerful in AE/cleave.

The new description is a weird way of describing the change. Basically it's going to do full damage to the primary target and do half damage to any other target inside the Fists of Fury cone.

I'm not 100% what's happening, but a few times I've had the channel simply cancel when my current target dies - Not sure if intended, or something gone wrong.
