The guide will help Priests understand what items they should be needing on in Dungeons, what quests to do for rewards, and what items Priests should be crafting to min-max their odds of winning PvP confrontations.

How to Gear Your Healing Priest for Classic WoW PvP
Even though the
牧师
is an iconic support role in PvE encounters, they are also a robust healer in PvP environments. However, there are some crucial differences in how you need to gear this class to be successful in PvP. Instead of focusing as heavily on utilizing and regenerating your mana over longer periods of time, such as in raids, you'll need to consider survivability through Stamina to a much greater extent. Fortunately, Priests already have a head start in gaining useful stats in PvP — Stamina and Armor — by way of their

buffs.
Beyond boosting your own survivability, Healing Power is another effective tool for any healing Priest to keep their allies alive, since that will be your main role in PvP environments. Regardless of whether you use a Discipline or Holy build, you will rely heavily on the faster

to keep everyone alive, especially if you are trying to handle damage to multiple players at the same time (and you will).

Classic PvP Honor Set for Healing Priests
At ranks 7, 8, and 10 you will receive 2 pieces of your faction's rare PvP armor set, for 6 pieces in total.
Alliance players will gather pieces for their

set, while the Horde gain access to

. Fundamentally, there are no stat advantages to one set or the other — any differences between the two are purely cosmetic based on your faction.
The 2-piece set bonus can be useful for PvE encounters since it slightly boosts your healing output, although the first pieces you get at rank 7 (boots and gloves) are less desirable over other options you can get through dungeons.
The 4-piece and 6-piece set bonuses are really only useful in PvP, as

is mostly a last resort in PvE (but great for scattering enemy players) and Stamina is not as critical a stat to gain outside PvP situations.
This set balances out the stats you really need for PvP encounters, from better survivability (Stamina) to healing output and mana regeneration. The gloves' equip effect to reduce damage interruption while casting
心灵震爆
is more useful for Shadow Priests, but can come in handy when you can spare the time and mana to help finish off an enemy.
At ranks 12 and 13 you will receive 3 pieces of the epic PvP armor set, again granting you access to 6 pieces.
Alliance players will gather pieces for their

set, while the Horde gain access to

. Again, there are no stat advantages to one set or the other — any differences between the two are purely cosmetic based on your faction.
The set bonuses come in opposing order to the blue set, meaning you get a +20 Stamina bonus
first
, and only get spell damage and healing when you wear all six pieces of the set.
This set is not really that useful for PvE since you don't get the bonus damage and healing upfront like you do with the rare set.
As with the blue set, adding a second to your

is great in PvP since it disorients your enemies for a longer period and may counteract partial spell resists which reduce the time your enemy is feared.
Best Armor for Classic PVP Healing Priests
If you're looking to take a more balanced approach to your stats, the rare and epic PvP sets are viable options in each of the armor categories (they are designed to be worn in PvP, after all). However, there are also good options available in dungeons and raids for gear that is also useful in PvP situations.
Head
Right now, the best PvE and PvP-sourced options for headgear are the

, respectively. The Halo off Onyxia offers a huge boost to your healing output, while also offering a decent amount of stamina and some fire and frost resistance which is useful against

Standard Trinkets
The path here is a bit less rigid than your other armor pieces. Trinkets lean more toward providing a large quantity of one particular stat. In other words, you can seriously boost your healing output through trinkets, or make up for mana regeneration (MP5) you may not have from your other items. While you're out of combat, you should switch these trinkets with the utility and engineering trinkets while they are on cooldown, so you can get as much mana as possible without stopping to drink water.

These trinkets don't add anything in terms of outright stats, but they do have useful effects in specific situations. However, most have cooldowns between 5 and 15 minutes, so you should use them only when needed and swap out your

I'm sorry, but the person who wrote this guide clearly doesn't understand how Classic PvP works (especially when it comes to priests), because the choices made here hugely miss the mark.
First, we have +hit gear. Healing priests absolutely cannot neglect this since it is required to ensure critical CC and offensive dispels land. This guide completely overlooks the +hit items for the neck and belt, which is inexcusable.
Second, we have survivability stats like stamina. If a PvP healing priest doesn't make survival an absolute priority, then they're going to be a soft target and die incredibly quickly. In PvP it's especially true that a dead priest does precisely zero healing. On multiple occasions, this guide undervalues +suitability gear, which is downright lunacy.
Third, where is Skull of Impending Doom on the weapons list? It's practically mandatory for a healing priest in PvP, since it acts like a second trinket to get out of CC which can be broken by damage, e.g. sheep. No, one PvP trinket on a 5 minute cooldown is not enough. Any priest worth their salt will have Skull of Impending Doom ready to go when it is off cooldown.
