Eye On the Prize is part of the Demon Hunter starting quest chain. - Mardum storyline.
This quest happends not in our time. It is actually the The Burning Crusade time.
Illidan is still in the Black Temple. He sends you to fight the Legion in Mardum, the Shattered Abyss

Besides quest rewards, there are 7 easy to miss blue gear drops in Mardum including a Strength/Agility buff item and a 28 slot bag. You may want collect these as you progress through Mardum. YOU CANNOT RETURN to this region once you complete the quest Return to the Black Temple.

Inquisitor's Menacing Eye (AT THIS QUEST - chest near Inquisitor Baleful in the Molten Shore)

Note: When you have all the gear, you have blue items everywhere except neck, belt, a trinket, and weapons. You will get a quest for Infernal Firecord Sash AFTER returning to the Black Temple. You can also find Lekos' Leash and Inquisitor's Glowering Eye rares in the Vault of the Wardens AFTER returning. Since the return quest gives you 2 blue weapons Fel-Etched Glaive that takes care of the 5 remaining slots.

1. Eye On the Prize
• Accept the quest, Eye On the Prize, from Allari the Souleater at coords 34.0, 70.1 (Despair Ridge).
• Travel southeast to coords 42.6, 79.3.
• Defeat Inquisitor Baleful, avoiding the Colossal Infernal Infernal Smash (green balls) it throws at you.
• Proceed northwest to 38.8, 60.8.
• Turn in the quest to Jace Darkweaver.

NOTE: While you are completing this quest, after you kill Inquisitor Baleful, you can collect the nearby treasure, the Inquisitor's Menacing Eye.

Given in conjunction with Set Them Free and Enter the Illidari: Coilskar.

Inquisitor Baleful is at 42.64, 79.35 (very south in Molten Shore).
From 100% hp to around 50% hp - avoid the 3 orbs he'll put down on the ground that spin in place with beams coming out in 2 places.
Around 50% health he will bubble, float up a little, and yell: "Enough! My colossal infernal will crush you."
The infernal will throw 3-4 giant rocks which are easily avoidable (green swirling ground = move) before Inquisitor comes back to the fight.
As he's defeated, Inquisitor Baleful yells: "My eyes... My eyes!" and you should be hit by a buff/lightning effect that will grant you the new ability Eye Beam.

Quest turn-in will be to the north of the Molten Shore, nearing the bridge.

In the past, you received the ability Eye Beam for this quest. As that is now a specialization ability (I think that's the reason) so now you get Immolation Aura.

Kinda lame with the quest name... but what's another loose end extra Blizzard will never fix...

When you're on this quest, don't forget to loot the Small Treasure Chest which is a few steps beside your quest objective. It contains Inquisitor's Menacing Eye which you can always use, so also after you leave the intro planet.

Free +9 stats for the rest of your demon hunter life

Description

This demon has proved less than useful. I have been using the Scythe of Souls on it, but so far, it has resisted my inquiries. We will see how long that lasts. I have a different idea... There is a fresh inquisitor demon ahead. They are horrific fel casters who see through their floating eyes and specialize in dark pacts. If you steal its power, Jace Darkweaver could use some of it in his ritual to spy on the Legion. Better yet, you will gain its power by ripping it from its smoking corpse.
