Once one character reaches revered with the Anglers, this item will be available from the Anglers Quartermaster, Nat Pagle, and it will effect all characters on that account when used. This information is current as of 10-31-12.

New Grand Commendation items in Mist of Pandaria:

Alliance.

Horde.

Neutral (Both Alliance and Horde).

These Faction items are available for patch 5.1 except the Sunreaver and Krin Tor ones that are available for patch 5.2, you must be Revered with each faction if you want to buy this item.

I am assuming this will affect both Anglers Dailys AND The Quests given at Soggys Gamble in the Dread Wastes which provide Anglers Reputation.

Am I correct in assuming this doesn't also help you with your reputation with Nat Pagle himself? Earning rep with him is easily the biggest grind out of all the factions this expansion since his dailies can take literally hours to do each day; it'd be crazy to put in these commendations for every faction but his.

When you complete a quest/action that gives rep the bonus reward will be displayed when you turn it in.

eg: Growing the farm complete! The tillers reputation increased by 1100 (+550.0 bonus)

Grand Commendation of the Anglers is sold by The Anglers Quartermaster, Nat Pagle, for 37g50 at revered, 35g at exalted with /// 42g50 at revered, 38g at exalted without . The Quartermaster is located in Kasarang Wilds, close to The Incursion flightpoint.

NB: Unfortunately, this affects only The Anglers faction reputation, not "friendship" rep with Nat Pagle himself.

Grand Commendations becomes available for purchase at Revered reputation with a faction. The gain will affect that character's grind from Revered to Exalted as well as all future toons on that account (both factions, all realms, all battle.net accounts) for all rep levels, forever. The bonus stacks with both guild and human rep bonuses, doubling the amount of rep received after they are applied.

For example, a quest that gives a 250 base reputation gain (like this one) will give: 250 rep + 25 (guild) + 25 (human) = 300 rep * 2 (Grand Commendation) = 600 total rep

The item can be purchased and used more than once, but multiple uses will have no effect, so buyer beware. The only way currently available to check whether you have purchased/used the item on a given acct (if you don't remember) is to do a daily with that faction and see whether you receive a rep bonus. Hopefully, a better system will be implemented in the future...

On the live system the actual cost at exalted is 40g (without the bartender guild perk) for all the Grand commendations.

This item does (sadly) not affect the rep gained with Nat Pagle himself from turning in the rare fish.

Once this item is purchased you must click on it to use it. You do NOT get the double rep by just having it in your bags.

Just confirmed, this works with Rep tokens you buy with Timewarped Badges! I cut the need of rep tokens in half with this! wooooo

Sometime in Legion/BFA the gold arrow/icon showing your account had the commendation unlocked was removed. I am uncertain if this was intentional or an error, but I confirmed today (after much gold spent in vain) that my Exalted toon had indeed already purchased the Grand Commendation from the quartermaster for each of the Pandarian factions which sells the item. I removed all addons to confirm it wasn't a UI issue, but it is totally gone.

This commendation is still active (tested cross-faction on max and low-lv toons), it just doesn't show up for the player to see. Which is highly unfortunate given the tokens are re-purchasable and non-refundable. Re-purchasing and attempting to use the commendation causes a red error message to briefly flash in the center of the screen stating "Already commended by this faction". Players will thus need to keep manual track of these now in order to avoid losing gold.

I have left this same comment on the other Grand Commendation pages as well to help spread word of this situation.
