The Hammer of Folly
Found on top of Mason's Folly, with the item for the achievement being the hammer sitting on the floor.
East of the new black market building in the veiled stair.

I found the Sprite's Cloth Chest that rewards this achievement at the end of the Prankster's Hollow in Kun-Lai summit (this is the sprite cave you go into for The Missing Muskpaw). Mine contained Wise Sprite Cloak and Precise Sprite Cloak. Presumably the reward is class and spec specific, I see that there are also Agile Sprite Cloak and Strong Sprite Cloak.

Pirate ship on the eastern edge of the southern most island in Krasarang Wilds. It's a Barrel of Banana Infused Rum. Contained the recipe to make it along with the achieve.

Okay, I have now heavily revised this list. Yes it is true, many of these items do not CURRENTLY count towards the acheivement. They did on Beta for a good while however, so I will not remove the items that do NOT count, incase it turns out that them not counting is a bug, but I will UNDERLINE those that DO currently count. Thanks to all those who have commented and posted the locations of those I could not find myself. I am adding them to this list for completenessess sake.

Note: If it's a chest and it give you a blue, it DOES count!

Location: In the cave along the shore of the Lake of the Stars. Stuck in the wall.

Location: Found in the Murkscale Grotto.

Location: Found outside of the cave that is just to the left of the Heart of Fear zone text on your map. In some bushes.

Lucid Amulet
Location: Found around Heart of Fear. (33.00 30.07)

Malik's Stalwart Spear
Location: Found this item sitting on a stone next to a large tree to north and slightly to the east of The Clutches of Shek'zeer. (48,30)

Manipulator's Talisman
Location: Obained by 'talking' to the Glinting Rapana Whelk. Found randomly around the Briny Muck.

Banana Infused Rum
Location: Southernmost Island, East of Unga Ingoo, on the ship turned platform, and not two feet from the Rare Spawn Spriggin. As you can likely guess, it is a barrel. Near the three barrels on the left side of the ship, when facing southeast.

Stack of Papers
Location: Marista Island, East of Nayeli Lagoon. Spawns with the gnome skeletons around the hatch in the ground.

Equipment Locker
Location: Non-sunken Pirate ship west of Unga Ingoo.

Pandaren Fishing Spear
Location: Almost underneath the fishing pandaren. (50.8, 49.4)

Saurok Stone Tablet
Location: Found in the saurok cave west of Zhu's Watch.

Kun-Lai Summit:

Ancient Mogu Tablet
Location: Found in the cave to the east of the temple of the white tiger, begind one of the statues in the second room.

Hozen Treasure Cache
Location: At the very end of Knucklethump Hole, behind Cho Cho the Wicked.

Hozen Warrior Spear
Location: In the flooded room in the cave "The Deeper". In the rock int he middle of the pond.

Lost Adventurer's Belongings
Location: Found next to a rare mantid Ski'thik on Kota peak.

Mo-Mo's Treasure Chest
Location: Small South-western Hozen camp, near the quest mob Mo-Mo. Back of his cave.

Rikktik's Tick Remover
Location: Found: Inside of the cave, Emperor Riktiks Rest. Inside of the cave, on his statue alter, there can be a chest called Riktiks Tiny Chest, this has the Tick Remover inside of it. (52,51)

Sprite's Cloth Chest
Location: At the very end of the sprite cave, North of Binan Village

Stash of Yaungol Weapons
Location: Fire Camp Yongqi. Contains a blue spear.

Statue of Xuen
Location: Located at the bottom of the lake SouthWest of Zouchin Village and North of the Temple of the White Tiger. The lake is at the foot of the large waterfall coming from the temple. (71,33)

Stolen Sprite Treasure
Location: Found inside Howlingwind Cavern.

Tablet of Ren Yun
Location: Tip of mount Neverest, right by the Panda shrine.

Terracotta Head
Location: Found: Mogujia. Found underneath a Terracotta Guardian in the corner at the coordinate below. Looks just like all of the other heads arond the ruins, but it is on its side. (59,74)

Kafa Press
Location: Found in the southernmost Yeti cave. Look for an Ice Block. Called the Frozen Trail Packer.

Location: Supposedly found near any lake in Valley of 4.
Note: You receive it from a ghost (Ghostly Pandared Fisherman). Talk to him and agree that fishing is amazing essentially.

Location: Found in the HIDDEN virmen cave in the cliffs northeast of Paoquan Hollow. The entrance is below some bushes that almost cover it.

Share the informations I've found in beta. (sorry for my poor english first)

1. Stash of gems : It was at a cave in the windward isle near the Shadowfae madcap. (Jade forest, not dread wastes) Not counted to an achievement.

2. Stack of papers : Not counted to an achievement.

3. Ancient pandaren tea pot : Found on the table in a hill east to the Serenity falls. Coordinate (26.2, 32.3)

Do NOT close the loot window or the item will despawn and you cannot loot it again.

ETA: for those asking "why wouldn't you have auto-loot enabled?" I did; however I had found the Wodin's Mantid Shanker (agility dagger) which I personally had no use for. My plan was to invite a guildie in the area to group, and have them loot the item.. Alas, the item despawned when i closed the loot window. =(

I put in a ticket for the hell of it and the GM was very nice and understanding, explained that this had been an issue in the past, but after doing some research advised they would not restore the item. Despite the initial loot triggering the acheivment tracking on four achievements, and receiving XP for doing so, because the item never physically showed up in my inventory, they would not restore it.

YOU may get a different GM who can restore it, more power to you, just sharing what happened in my situation.

There are alot of items out there that are considered a treasure :) On the first day of Pandaria, I tried to find some while leveling. I had found around 9 around the whole pandaria. Alot didn't spawn and sadly only 1 of them awarded me achievement.

The items that have their name written in gray will not award you the achievement. However, there is no guarentee that this won't change in the near future. I'd suggest to keep those items in your inventory even if the 900g are appealing to sell :D

I've found this in "Dread Wastes", where "Lake of Stars" is there is a small cave and in that cave I had one quest, where i had to loot some tablets, but I've accidentially pressed on some sort of sword and BAM, this achiev popped, I got a lot of hate whispers, so I guess it's RARE :P

Plankwalking Greaves

Found them in Krasarang Wilds in a large chest in the lower hold of the ship docked at the sound end of the zone. Same island as the rare Spriggin. Got the achievement when I opened the chest.

Looted Terracotta's Head just now and did not get the "lost and found" achievement. Either it's a bug or it doesn't count. I'm not sure.

Found Ancient Jinyu Staff in Jade Forest at 5:45 server time on Windrunner tonight. It was at 46.5 70 underneath the water. Counted for the Lost and Found achievment, and granted 151k xp to boot. Hope this helps add to the list guys, the list has helped me find a handful!

The Stolen Sprite Treasure was found at the bottom of the sprite cave north of One Keg and contained ~100g. Look near the shrine on the ice lake inside the cave.

Having spoken to a GM ten minutes ago I can confirm 100% now that THE ONLY ITEMS THAT COUNT TOWARDS THIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE THE BLUE ITEMS. No grey vendor items, no chests that you open or loot, no recipes that you find; ONLY the blues.

Ancient Jinyu Staff, Sturdy Yaungol Spear, and Blade of the Poisoned Mind, found in Jade Forest, Kun-Lai Summit, and Dread Wastes respectively, are missing from the priorly upvoted lists.

Rather conveniently, that's 20 blue items total, which is exactly how much the last achievement needs. If the recipes count too, that's 22 items, which is pretty nice wiggle room.

Any solid respawn rate for any or all of these? 10/4/12 after a short rolling restart(15 min) none of the items i was camping respawned, i guess. I tried to make the coordinates based off of the zone maps, but some of them are in caves with entrances near their coordinates so be mindful of that. Also, some of these items such as Terracotta Head and Hardened Sap of Kri'vess have multiple spawns. In the list i included only the spawns that i found them at.

Just to confirm - you probably won't be able to see any item you have looted before and had it counted towards achievement.

I got Wodin's Mantid Shanker few days ago. (toon A)
Today I parked my husband's toon (toon B) at the Owen's wishing well, as he wanted to get this item as well. (We have 2 separate accounts.)
Meanwhile I was doing my stuff, just checking The Well every half an hour.
It has spawned after like 4 hours camp for the toon B.
Just to test it, I came from Dread Wastes with toon A, and I couldn't see it!
(We're on the same realm ofc.)
I relogged both toons, still I couldn't see it. I've made a party, invited a guildie (toon C). Still I wasn't able to see it with A, and toon B and C - could.

Anyone else could confirm this?
Could anyone see the item they've looted before?

After seeing yet another item despawning right after I clicked on it, here's my theory:
After a server restart, at least some of the items will always be up. (It could be similiar to those rares in Northrend that are always present after a server restart) However, they despawn after a few seconds.

There have been multiple reports (including one of my guildee) saying that the Ghostly Pandaren Fisherman have been found right after a restart. I have personally seen two items that have spawned in this fashion, namely the Malik's Stalwart Spear and Dissector's Staff of Mutation.

Unfortunately, both of the items that I have found this way despawn as soon as I click on it. The cast bar went through and no loot window popped up, and the objects disappeared.

Anyway this is just a speculation, there may be more items that can spawn this way. The items may also have despawned on their own before anyone see them.

Regardless, for both times I was able to receive credit for merely opening the containers, so if you are only going after the achievement you could still try this.

However, I am unsure whether we will be able to loot it if we find them again since we are supposed to only be able to loot each item once. And since GMs are saying there are no records of us looting the items and they cannot help, I guess we'll have to use another chars to loot them.

Edited: I checked around and there have been quite a few reports regarding these mysterious disappearances. They all seem to occur to items that spawn right after a server restart. GM has described it as a 'known issue' too'.

Be warned. If you merely open the loot box for the item, it will no longer be visible to that specific character. Even if you did not loot it. Hopefully this will be changed in the future for those who have looting accidents

I didn't get around to all of the different rare finds but these are the ones I found and didn't get me the achievement:

All these items were in the spots listed above, just weren't helpful in gaining this achievement, or Finders Keepers. The item I found in the spot listed above and actually gave me the achievement was:

Its seems that everyone can find the gray items once. They will be in their given spot for each person without waiting for a spawn timer of any kind. They will not be there if you look for them a second time. Definitely all worth finding as their value ranges from around 10g up to 105g is the highest I've seen so far. Happy hunting!

for those that are not finding any of these items, i feel ya. it took me a long time to find the first one .

When i found it, it was just after the server restart on tuesday, the short 2 hour one. on the 10/09/2010 .
and it was the Dissector's Staff of Mutation located at : /way Dread Wastes 30.2 90.8 Dissector's Staff of Mutation

i looked for that for about two days . it was around 9:30 Server time on Uldaman . or 9:30AM Indiana Time .

so with everyone putting it was this time, on this server . It would be nice if you put were you are located in the world, for those of us, that dont know .. each server is timed differently, in the world.

The Achievement is hard enuff to get . so with posting the times, for each server and your location in the world, other might get this one as well ..
i didnt take a screen shot of it, but If you are on the server Uldaman, ask around for Backjockie, its my mage.I found it on my DK, and with it being account bound, i can send it to any of my toons. even the ones i have on another account, being how my account are linked thru battle.net ..

A given character can only obtain each relic once, as after you have received credit for looting a relic, you are unable to see that relic when it spawns again (i have confirmed this using alts with two of the vendor trash items, one of the BoAs and the Cache of Pilfered Goods)

It is possible to track which relics a character has credit for by querying the server as to the completion status of the "FLAG - (relic name)" quests using the command '/run print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(xxxxx))', where xxxxx is the quest number of the associated FLAG quest.

I am reasonably certain that the relics and quests line up as follows:

I found the Ancient Pandaren Mining Pick at (40.09, 42.02) inside of the Greenstone Quarry cave in Jade Forest.
Edit: I am unsure why this was voted down, I just wanted to give more coords that people could add to their macros. Or they could at least be aware that there are multiple spawn points in that cave beyond the coordinates provided in the macros in these comments.
Also, @yetiuprising this item did give me the achievement. I got it while using someone's macros from here and discovered that the waypoint wasn't in the macro.

i've got the achive by lootin the Ancient Jinyu Staff from the bottom of a lake about 41. 61 but i was as frustrated as all you others out there.. i've been picking up this lucky coins & teapot, and all other stuff many times but first got the achievement by looting the Ancient Jinyu Staff. might be bugged?

Just a little advice for the players who are looking for these items and achievements, since I've found two of them at different coordinates than those specified on this webpage.

The ancient pandaren mining pick was located on a wall in the mine, and not near the wagon as shown on the screenshots. The hammer of ten thunders was lying against a wall in the north of the Jade Forest, but in a different place than the two suggested.

I therefore suggest that you search all of these areas while farming for the two weapons mentionned above.

I was in Fire Camp Osul I waited for the rolling restarts to come back up. The Yaungol Fire Carrier was there. I looted, got the achievement, but was stuck in the looting position. No box came up for me to click on anything. I have a ticket in now, hoping they will give me the item.

Information i have gathered from the achievement and tips.

These rares with the exception of 3 ARE NOT tracked via npcscan.
The items SPARKLE on the FLOOR and are lootable.
You CAN NOT loot or SEE the same item more than once.
There appears to be a 'Rare Cap' like Wrath rare elites.
With the help of a Guildy(Keric).
We HAVENT seen more than 5 up at any given time(Checked directly after server crash)
'Grey' quality items DO NOT count for the achievement exception of 1.
CAMPING a item is NOT SUGGESTED. Keep Patrolling

Also, if you are one of those hardcore campers these relics do not reset with a rolling restart. I have had this confirmed by friends on other servers and I have logged in twice at the same relic spawn as soon as the server was available again.

I was on my main scoping the Jade Warrior Statue for a 2nd sword and then hopped over to my alt and the statue was there, but when I re-logged onto my main the statue was not visible so I had to pick it up with the alt. It does seem that this could either be a bug or intentional so that the same character cannot camp the same item over and over.

I want to let you all know that if you experince the no loot window bug with any of these items like I did dont be dismayed by the comments saying a GM wont help and give you the item. It happened to me with Dissector's Staff of Mutation when i logged in right after a server reset and after whining to my guild about it i was told to try putting in a ticket anyways because some GMs help more then others. Sure enough 2 days later I got a response and in the ticket response I was told no problem and BAM my staff was in the mailbox!

I'd found one of the iteams of a coincidence and i do understand that i cant see the same iteam with that char but how is it with other iteams?
The iteam i found is Ancient Jinyu Staff. I've been after Swarming Cleaver of Ka'roz for 4 days now (about 12-16 hours each day without any results) so im starting to think that something are wrong :/

Got this achievement today on Hellfire EU, but didn't get it from finding plain old box of loot, I received it by finding the Ghostly Pandaren Craftsman. He gave me Ancient Pandaren Woodcutter.

I can now clarify that once you have looted one of these items you cannot see it ever again, i looted the Yaungol Fire Catcher at around 10:45am game time on Wednesday just after server restart and got it for my 11th rare item, i then later on that night at 3:25am game time on Thursday took my friend over there to show where i found it this morning and there it was, she looted it, but i couldn't see it at all and was unable to tell it was there till her 'Lost and Found' achievement dinged, this shows that once you have looted the item it cannot be seen again and that the spawn times of these items is about 12-24 hours roughly.

I just got the achievement. I was picking fool caps in the briny muck in the dread wastes and i seen one of the snail like creatures glowing. I was able to loot it and got the achievement as well as Manipulator's Talisman trinket. So treasures dont actually have to look like a chest im assuming now. Keep ur eye out for glowing objects is all i can say. Good luck all.

does anyone have a actual idead about spawn timers on the weapons ? ive looked several times a day for these with no luck nostly the dread wastesweapons for for some reason every chance i get i dont see them where they are supposed to be either im unlucky and someone else grabbed them before me or the timers are a daily or weekly thing ...

if someone could give a hint on the timers that would be great

because i know the regular rare mobs timers are every 3 hours from the time you killed them and ive tested and proved that... the rares in eternal blossoms are 4 - 5 hours untested because on my server they are almost always dead

Just worth noting. Game Masters can actually help with this now. It was explained that they changed the policy on this one recently because of the Flag - quests. When you interact with the item, the appropriate quest is automatically completed on your character, and they can check the quest to see if you have the item and then restore the item if you do not have it.

Just had either a really lucky or weird morning. At 5am I was at 9/10 for One Man's Trash... found the Blade of the Prime which gave me that achievement. Then I went to help a friend fight an elite rare and finished up some dailies before reset. Then after reset at 6am, I went around looking for lost treasures in the Dread Wastes again.

Two hours and a half later, I am now at 17/20 for "Is Another Man's Treasure" and I'm now entertaining the idea of actually getting the Relic Hunter title, something I really didn't think I would have a chance to get for a very long time. I found six more Lost Treasures in Dread Wastes, plus one in Kun-Lai Summit. It's almost as though Blizzard sped up the spawn timers of these treasures... or they all just happened to spawn around the same time and I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

EDIT: 10am now and I found four more Lost Treasures and have the Relic Hunter title. I was feeling really lucky (obviously) so I was camping the Banana Infused Rum barrel, and it happened to spawn right in front of me. After getting it, I decided to quickly check the other ones that I didn't have yet. I immediately got the Swarming Cleaver and the Dissector's Staff afterwards, then flew up to Kun-Lai's summit and sure enough, the Tablet was there too. I had just checked these places about 15 minutes prior, so it does seem like they share a spawn timer of sorts. So yeah, if you see one up and you're able to grab it, fly around fast to check on the other ones you still need. :)

so just to confirm, I tried to loot this the window closed and i could not loot again.

I got the achievement (proof) on the date (today) proof, and the location (township) so only one type of item would have been even possible to get.

A GM won't help me in this scenerio? that seems insane?

Okay, so I can confirm that you can see (and loot) *some* lost treasures twice on different characters. I already had Jade Infused Blade that I looted on my main quite a while ago. Now I happened to stop by the Jade Witch's house while leveling an alt and I saw the glittering green panda statue again! Sure enough, I was able to loot a second blade. So I decided to have my Frost DK dual these babies for a Jade Temple dungeon run. With them, I was able to stun Wise Mari while he was casting Hydrolance - which resulted into an easy kill as we didn't have to frantically run around the room anymore to avoid the water jet. Was pretty awesome!

As of 5.1 you can now loot these items even with a full inventory. I just looted the Wind-Reaver's dagger on a character with 2 open slots, killed 2 mobs that were the way and when I clicked on them I auto-looted them (they were right next to the "container") and when I tried to pick up the dagger (a rogue had just flown in looking for it) it said my inventory was full. I was able to delete an item while still "using" the container as thought it was a regular box and then take the dagger without the competing player taking it.

Prior to 5.0 you could not loot them with a full inventory since the items would merely de-spawn.

found 3 treasures in dread waste and ghostly pandaren fisherman thingy in valley of four winds. i strongly recommend having a long flight through all rare spawn points across pandaria

There is also a little stash of money at the Shrine of Remembrance in Jade Forest (46, 80) gives around 100k exp, 20g and annoying debuff "You dare to steal from the dead!" , its just behind the rock at Paw'don Village

Today I got Woodin's Shanker on another character, as I was intending to park her there to farm this items, due to it seemingly never spawning. I ran my alt to the well, and what do you know, it was there.

I have 6 countable blue items that are supposed to count for the achievement One Man's Trash... but instead I only have 5/10, how is it that one of the above items is not counting? Is this achievement bugged or does it forget what is being tracked, and then 'realizes later' that you have picked up 6 items not 5 for the continuing achievement?

All the items from Dread Wastes are named after a paragon you awaken. Also, they're near by said paragon. Makes it nice to be aware of while leveling because of the huge exp boost.

Firstly thank you to everyone who posted co-ordinates to all of these items.

Secondly, I can not find a Carbonite list for these, so I created one. Please copy and paste each section into a macro to generate all of the Carbonite Notes you will need to find these items. This will add a {star} to your Carbonite map for you to locate the item.

Please read all other relevant posts regarding the spawn, camping, item description and physical location as I do not need (or wish) to re-post them here.

I removed the names from the entries so that you can just copy/paste them into your chat frame. For some reason carbonite doesn't like having text after the coordinates.

1) Open carbonite favourites.
2) Create a new favourite.
3) Hit the "record" button (turns red).
4) Copy/paste each of these entries to your chat frame.
5) De-select the "record" button (turns not-red).
6) Click the name of the favourites list. This should queue up the entire list on the map interface.
7) Look at the map and shuffle any entries which look like they could be done more efficiently.

There are two Treasure Hunt achievements in Mists of Pandaria - one sets you on a path to find 18 "Treasures", the other one requires you to find 20 "Lost treasures". When I started working on these achievements, I could not figure out the differences. But here they are:

Lost Treasures (this one)
Achievements: Lost and Found, Finders Keepers, One Man's Trash... and Is Another Man's Treasure
These items are rare spawns. There are many posts on this page and the pages for the related achievements describing what they are and where to find them - the lootable rewards you get are items (armor, weapons, etc) that are either Soulbound or Bind-to-Battle.net account. The thing is that these spawns are rare spawns. You can travel to the location, but more often than not, the item will not be there. You can camp a spot or you can travel around or you can get invited to other servers via real-id to check for them, but this is the tough one. For you achievement hunters out there, note that the last achievement requires you to find "only" 20 of these Lost Treasures - and there are (at least) 28 of them.

Treasures (the other one)
Achievements: Treasure of Pandaria, Fortune of Pandaria, Bounty of Pandaria and Riches of Pandaria.
These items are always there. Check Lilikoi's comment on Riches of Pandaria for the definitive list. The thing is that you can simply travel to all the specified locations, loot the items, and then you have found the 18 treasures and get the achievement. Simple and no fuss at all.

Some comments/pages will also - confusingly enough - mention items that does not count for the achievements - those posts are pre-patch 5.1. As they do not count for the achievement, you can safely ignore them. I think the reason is that before patch 5.1, there was a lot of confusing as to which items counted for the achievements, but after 5.1, it got a lot clearer. The posts, however, are still somewhat unclear and they at least managed to confuse me. I hope this post can help others, who are as confused as I was.

I went looking for these lost treasures (using the HandyNotes addon) at level 89 (ground mounted ofc) and found excellent XP gains just from looting these. Very easy to find, and with full rested bonus and perks most were granting 567600 each (yes, over half a million XP per item), a couple of the rare loots in Dread Wastes granted 800k+ and the grey loots were around 50k each. Without rested it's half that of course.

Went through just over half of level 89 in a little over 2 hours (about 5 million XP/hr according to XToLevel). Can only loot each item once, but with 25+ items available (counting some greys) still a pretty hefty timesaving for that last level. Will definitely be doing this with my other toons :)

It is worth noting that, even though these items are visible to anyone in the area and disappear once looted by a single person (unlike the "Treasures" for Treasure of Pandaria that are always visible to all characters once as if they were a quest item), you still cannot loot the same item twice on one character.

I discovered this because many months back I looted the Ancient Jinyu Staff from Jade Forest while my bags were full and did not receive the item, yet the object despawned. I always wanted to pick one up for collection sake for my alts, so I've kept checking back and wondering how it is possible that I haven't seen it respawn yet (this particular item is kind of out of the way and not too heavily traveled). Today, I brought a different character to the location of the staff and it was sitting there, waiting to be looted. I then logged out without looting it and brought my main over (who had looted it months ago) and confirmed that I was unable to see or loot the object on that character. I logged back on my alt and it was still there, so I looted it for my collection.

That said, while it is not common for someone to be looking for an item that they have already looted once, it is totally possible to find yourself in a situation like mine and I thought this was valuable information to share. Best of luck in your hunt!

This achievement leads up to Is Another Man's Treasure.
Go here to get a full list of items that count towards it. This list requires TomTom and Paste to execute it.

For the BoA items, you may obtain one per account per realm.

However, with the grey vendor items you may obtain one per character per realm. A fun and quick way to get 1340g per alt, just by flying around.

For the people who don't know what items they've already found: This script (which you can run via the Paste-addon) detects all the remaining items and adds the waypoints to your TomTom. Kudos to bildr for doing the same in the comments of "Fortune of Pandaria" and giving me the idea ;)

I have found the best way to find them is to use the addon HandyNotes Lost & Found. Highlights all their locations throughout Pandaren.
