Just like most outland fishing monsterbelly and moonglow both share spawn locations. if you see one or the other fish it and you have a chance of the other spawning there. These fish spawn off the coast of Borean Tundra, South East of Unu'pe in the Frozen Sea. To find them head towards the grouping of floating icebergs / islands

Here's fishing map, of the area south of the Borean Tundra, where there are spawn points of Deep Sea Monsterbelly, and Moonglow Cuttlefish.

Water walking and levitation are helpful, but optional. There are small groups of broken ice sheets. You can also hop from the water, onto the 45-degree edges of the large icebergs. Some can be a bit deceptive. Watch for places where the slope touches the water, without a ridge.

Of course, flying negates most of these obstructions.

There is a massive amount of spawnpoints for Moonglow Cuttlefish and Deepsea Monsterbelly at the Icebergs south of Unu'pe in Borean Tundra. The icebergs Im talking about isn't shown on the map, they are just between the 2 shown at the map, straight south from Unu'pe. like 6-7 spawnpoints with less than 15 minutes spawntimer. INSANE!

For anyone who is still confused where to find Deep Sea Monsterbelly and Moonglow Cuttlefish schools, they spawn all around the icebergs in the FROZEN SEA of Northred zone which is just SE of Borean Tundra, but not actually in Borean Tundra.

The schools are all around around 30,67 in the Frozen Sea... and to use those coords properly you need to open you map and veiw the entire continent of Northren, not a specific zone inside it.

Here is a Map showing the area of these pools, notice the map is of Northrend and not Borean Tundra, this is what it will look like when you are actually there.

If you still cant figure out how to get there for some odd reason... go to the Borean Tundra head towards the coords 81,58. It will trun into the Frozen Sea as you get close

You will need a minimum of 480 fishing to cast here and about 550 to not lose very many.

Note: Also, you may want to bring at least 10 Critter Bites and do using the Tundra Penguin's that are clustered all over the Icebergs in this area.

When looking for schools in the frozen sea south of borean tundra the schools often seem to be ALL moonglow cuttlefish OR deep sea monsterbelly. Is there a time thing on this or are just people fishing all the cuttlefish ones leaving the monsterbelly ones?

Moonglow Cuttlefish Schools can also be found in the Howling Fjord - look for schools spawning far out in the sea west of Westguard Keep. You can also find schools Deepsea Monsterbelly out there.

Hey i've seen a lot of them south east of Kaskala in Borean taundra. They serround the glaciers in the middle of the see, and i meen a lot of em.

I've dived with cuddlefish IRL, and I must say they are incredibly cute, and very intelligent!

Cuttlefish are sometimes referred to as the chameleon of the sea because of their remarkable ability to rapidly alter their skin color at will. Their skin flashes a fast-changing pattern as communication to other cuttlefish and to camouflage them from predators. This color-changing function is produced by groups of red, yellow, brown, and black pigments, with up to 200 of these specialized pigment cells per square millimeter!

Your server mileage may vary, but since this is only used for one cooking thing, and a pretty meh one at that (oh boy, spirit!) these fish are comparatively cheap, on my server maybe 2g a stack. So, if you have a character who just needs to push from 400 to 450 cooking so they can make fish feast, and you don't really care about cooking for yourself along the way, about 60 of these should do the trick, and cheaply.

Note: the only recipe's these fish (Deep Sea Monsterbelly, Moonglow Cuttlefish) is Gigantic Feast (the monsterbelly) and Cuttlesteak (obvious), Cuttlesteak's Well Fed bonus is +40 Spirit and Stamina while the Gigantic Feast's Well Fed bonus is increased size. Confirmed they share spawn locations (the schools) and that they are around 78, 66 borean tundra up to around 90, 55. (or check Agrotian's fish map.

Fished mine just above where it's marked on the map of Dragonblight, over the ruins, standing in a pillar, lot of Rockfin Grouper and fished my Deep Sea Monsterbelly together.

No schools required.

Just go in a straight line where Dragonblight map indicates till you see The Frozen Sea on your mini map, find a pillar and fish there. I fished with 525 skill + Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole + Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat

Though it isn't shown here, pools for both the Cuttlefish and Deep Sea Monsterbellies also spawn along the various large ice bergs along the Borean Tundra coast from Valliance Keep to Dragonblight.

Just make sure you are out in the frozen sea, but not in the fatigue zone.

This fish does not require school to fish in! (unless you are after Northrend Angler achievement).

After trying to find Moonglow Cuttlefish school for 3 days at random hours of the day I was tired and annoyed and decided to try to fish in open water, no school. I caught the said fish within 3 minutes along with Rockfin Grouper and Deep Sea Monsterbelly and a bit of junk. Place: the pillars at the 'bottom' of the Dragonblight, just as shown on the map here.

For the Moonglow Cuttlefish I also found a huge fishing spot in the Borean Tundra, South of Deathstand. In the moddle of two giant Iceburgs in the ocean, It doesn't show the iceburg with all the cuttlefish on the map but its there. I'll post a screenshot with the circled Location. Also its a good spot for Deep Sea Monsterbelly. Which I will also post it on that fish as well. Check it Out I hope it helps.

You could also die by fatigue near the ice since it's close to the boarder. As a ghost you can walk on water so just jump onto some ice and then resurrect on it.

Confirmed Moonglow Cuttlefish @ 33.48, 65.74 IN The Frozen Sea (Borean Tundra). Looking at your map, you will see Death's Stand, and then a couple of icebergs SSE. Look at the snapshot for specific location.

A cool little trick you can use if you need to stand on the water to fish these is the Bipsi's Bobbing Berg. You can fish while riding on this.

Just found a fishing school after about 30 minutes searching throughout Northrend.

Borean Tundra. The coordinates are a bit strange. According to my position it's "The Frozen Sea 74, 59". But when I open up the map, I wind up in Crystalsong Forest. Switching back to Borean Tundra, my cursor shows: 81.6, 62.7

This might sound like I'm exaggerating, but, I got literally 80 Moonglow and 50 Monsterbellies. Insane respawn timer... must have been a freakin' fluke.

I wanted to clarify which icebergs off the coast of the Borean Tundra had pools around them. There are icebergs everywhere between Riplash Ruins and the Tundra-Dragonblight border, but only some of them have pools of Deep Sea Monsterbelly and Moonglow Cuttlefish. The ones between Riplash Ruins and a bit west of Unu'pe have penguins on them, but no fish pools. The ones directly south of Unu'pe until those directly south of the west edge of the Tundra-Dragonblight delta all have pools around them for these two fish. You won't be in the Borean Tundra zone; you'll be in the Frozen Sea.

On a map of Northrend (not the Borean Tundra zone), the coordinates are:
west end - (28.4, 67.7)
east end - (33.5, 65.8)

On one trip around each of these icebergs and icefloes, I found:
9x Moonglow Cuttlefish pools
4x Deep Sea Monsterbelly pools

From these pools, I fished:
34 x Moonglow Cuttlefish
15 x Deep Sea Monsterbelly
30 x Pygmy Suckerfish
3 x Reinforced Crate
2 x Crystallized Water

Started with a fishing skill of 410 and +25 fishing pole. No fish got away.

Nope, this one isn't complicated, and you don't really need coords. Get to Unu'pe in Borean Tundra. If you don't have flight, have some water walking potions on hand (you'll need them anyway, most like, once there, as others have noted) and ride due south the iceberg. If you have flight, fly south the bergs, you're golden. Again: just get due south from Unu'pe, to the icebergs in Frozen Sea.

The zone has to change to "Frozen Sea" for Deep Sea Monstrosities and Moonglow Cuttlefish schools to appear, as others have noted. And repeat: bring water walking potions if your class can't do water surfaces; some of the schools are distant from the ice shelves.
