How to be a better Paladin

So the threads have gotton a bit boring and distastful for my liking. Really...like the pass 50 threads have been about hit caps def caps and gerneral insults starting with the lines "go read the stickies"
I can HOPE that this thread will be a little bit different.
I would like to ask people out there to post interesting things that you do with your paladin in anything from spending time in the city, dailies, to quests to dungones and raids.
These forums have gotton too dark recently almost to the point where every thread I read is filled with elitism and trolling.
I'll go first, though my formate does not have to set an example, just talk about anything you like. If a really interesting topic comes out you can make another threat and talk about it.
Having fun in the city:
-I have a
Mechano-hog
as my main use ground mount, and may times while pugging a heroic a person will jump in my bike. I instantly switch on the crusader aura and head for the dalaran sewers. a couple of quick turns and im in the exit pipe. 4 seconds before we hit the group i
BOP
my pasanger and use
DS
on myself. Its always fun do see people's reactions on the way down.
Questing and dailies
This comes more from a tanks perspective. When I was grinding up the rep for
The Oracles
in
Sholazar Basin
. I would try and get all the of 0/50 or 0/30
Frenzyheart
kills in one shot. That means running around and pick up as many mobs as possible while not letting them travel too far and de aggro'ing you and running away. I have done 30 kills in one pull no problem. I have not yet done the 50 kills succesfully. I always seem to lose a few around 42 or 45.
5 man's
Again, I am a tank at heart and love tanking 5 man heroics. So this comes from a purlly tank perspective. Having completed
Glory of the Hero
a long time ago. I like to do 5 mans with my friends and make up new achivments. A pretty easy one to start with is "Take the Drake" Right before the last trash group in Utgarde Keep, a Proto Drake and a
Proto Drake Rider
will fly down and intercept your party. The goal of this achivment is to kill the last boss in UK,
Ingvar the Plunderer
while still having the Drake alive. Careful. Don't kill it :-)
10 and 25 man raids
Being in a pretty competative raiding guild that takes new content seriously it can be hard to fine fun in a raid. There are 2 things you can do. Paladins have TONS of abilities. While waiting for a ready check or listening to strat open up your spell book and go down the list. Look at your abilities and ask yourself how could they fit in. to help a fight.
When going back to do older raids like Naxx or OS. Try and pull faster or change a fight around completely. 10 man naxx is always fun when you have your healers and ranged DPS running around the safty dance room while you hold
Heigan
on the platform and enjoy not moving :-D
Want to have some fun for
Gothik the Harvester
? have everyone stack on the living side of the room. 50% of the fight will be the same, but half way through you are going to notice a very very big change. Keep your raid away from those central doors :-P
PVP
I didn't say anything about PVP because honestly I don't do that much. But i'm sure there are tons of adventurs you can have in battlegrounds or even arena's
Anyways, changing the way you play makes you better overall. Its not only fun but lets you practice different ways of playing your character. We also needed a change of pace in these forums.
Cheers,
Hat

The Gothic corner strategy is the regular one... even in 25 Naxx.
Usual split is just boring and many raid leaders failing even before pull, to divide party in wrong order.
While corner is fun as much as challenging, for tanks first, but more for DPS, to not pull aggro prematurely. (Been there, done that... *red*)

Love the thread Hatman!
I've been tempted to link my armory a few times and ask for insights, and someday I probably will, but each time I ask myself if there is more room for improvement by using the stickies and there always is something to work on.
Thank man. I appriciate the compliments.
What I would say is that, if you even know that the stickies are there, you have probably read most of them. The wowhead sticks have some usefull information, but are also have alot of preferencial stuff mixed in as well.
If you have questions then post away. The worse that can happen is that you'll get a couple of quick replies. On the other hand your question might not only be answered but you might get tips on something you didn't even thing about!

I would agree now that many people over gear naxx 10 and 25, that the one sided approch is easier....but its not the "regular strat". When naxx opened for lich king the heroics gear were the only purple gear avalablie, and that first swam of creatures that the one sided approch gives is very hard to heal through. The fight was always a joke if you slipt your group to 2 sides, very borning, but back in the day of T7 gear, it was still needed.
If your too bored for some of the fights come to US Dalaran and do a run with me sometime. During the
Sapphiron
as soon as he hits 5% life I start to spin him around in circles. LOL. I call it the soft enrage :-P

Pulled the Infinite Corruptor to Arthas today. Was fun. Especially fun it was we barely made a stop after the meeting before Town Hall. Bad our DPS was a bit more trigger-happy and let healer die once on the street.
Gonna try and pull Corruptor to Mal'Ganis next time...

Chrono-Lord Epoch
is the boss right before you tell Arthas to open the bookshelves and make your wait down to the streets. If you ever want to have some fun with this boss there is a simple way to reset his health over and over and over again, making it quite painful for your DPS or healers.
Tank the boss normally. Once you have a good threat lead run into the fireplace that's behind you in the same room. make sure you jump behind the burning logs. This will put the boss into an "evade" bug state until you jump out. He will start to attack other people in the group but will still "evade" all attacks until you jump out.
Have fun killing your friends lol!

hatman555 and me just ran around a bit to kill some time in Dalaran. We are both late night players so things can get dull at 2am+ server time.
It was hard to trust him when he said "Hey you see the really high tower in Dalaran? Fly up there, and get in my Machano-hog's side car... this should work but I'm a little drunk"
He jumps us off Dalaran into a 2000yard free-fall aimed at a river that was out of max clip plane distance before we jumped. My finger was hovering over my parachute hot key... but never needed it as we hit this little 4 yard gap of deep water.
Honestly, 1 yard to the left or right and its a nice watery death lol!
I'll have to Fraps the jump one day and post it up. I think its the longest fall distance in the game.

Hat
Don't drink and Mechano-drive kids!

They changed the mechano hog to a regular mount instead of a vehicle =/. I'm still too poor to buy one though lol.
Yes, while it use to be that the mammoth and hogs would simply *die* leaving you on the ground untouched...they thought this was too "OP" for battlegrounds and changed it.
Once I get my FRAPS going again I will take a small video of both a successful jump and a watery death one lol.
Cheers,
Hat
p.s. Sad that more people aren't posting interesting things they do. :-(
