This Skill is very useful against rogues espicially if you have the upgraded Ret Aura talent. This can hit a rogue for 20 damage everytime he hits you and anyone whos every fought a rogue before knows thats a lot. In some matches this talent can do as much as 500 damage to an opposing rogue.

Its a double edged sword however though. Fighting Rogues is pretty much all it is practical for. It doesnt do any damage for ranged attacks and will barely hurt an enemy attacking you with a two hander of any kind or a dual wielding warrior.

it's really wierd how many points a prot AoE pally would want to put into Retri...
17 easy and can easily see 23-4... I get they want the names to match,
but frankly retribution aura was for AoE Prot Pallies and Sanctity Aura for Retri

Will this aura have same effect as it have in TBC ?

Will it show as my damage, or the damage of the meber thats effected by it ?

In TBC the damage of retribution aura is low so it suck and its worthless...and also dont shows as my damage.

And is there going to be Sancuarity aura in WoTLK ?

so then what will a lvl 80 ret pally in pretty decent gear be expected to hit with this aura? like.... well lets see if its 112 damage base plus the 50% bonus that puts it at 168 base and if its a 6.6% spell power( as someone said above) the with about 800 SP(just guessing) then 800*0.066 is 52and then 168+52 is 220 so at 220 damage per hit this is IMO a very good lvling addition.... damnit now i have to go and respec to get this..... oh wait im not able to get this rank of it yet so i will just put points in it the two lvls before lvl 76 or w/e lvl u get this at lol

Veeeeeeeeery useful when running people you don't know through instances, especially to *!@# them off for your amusement. I picked up 2 Lvl 8's for RFC spamming Trade for RFC run thru. I acted like a noob, neglected the use of consecration, and killed everything with ret aura. No XP, no loot, no nothing. They got ^&*!ed after that run :)

a handy trick for tanks, if you have another pala in the group get them to use devo so you can concentrate on gettin threat and you get more armour, huzzah!

This skill with https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=31869 plus https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=25988 would really hurt against rouges and feral druids (especially those in cat form)
Druids in cat form attack REALLY FAST having near 1 attack speed
this means 168 holy damage (thats with talent) back at them every second.
1680 holy damage after 10 hits. and 10 hits from a cat doesn't hurt as much as what the pally can do to them

this is like a aura form of thorns, complete with more damage and a type of damage that has no resistance! improve thorns to match >_<

Yes it does. Which makes it really good against Rogues or Dual-Wielding Warrior. Just run around hitting them while you see them kill themself over time. It's great
