Yup, once again, it seems like crafted gear is becoming worth it's own.

Will set about trying to craft this first. Definitely best in slot material. The extra yellow socket just makes it even better.

EDIT: Ah it seems I did miss the Heroic Shieldmaiden bracers. Even then though, it seems this still stands as 2nd best until then.

In the case of these bracers they may look expensive to make (holy crap- titansteel AND crusader orbs? Yeah, really expensive) but it does pay off if you're not anywhere near ready to raid ToC 25. Short of running ToC on heroic the only item with really comparable stats are Bracers of the Shieldmaiden that drop in regular ToC 25- and at that they trade dodge and hit for parry and expertise. From a strict standpoint you're liable to need the expertise (you need double what any DPS would need since tanks hit mobs from the front) and expertise is both threat and mitigation (fewer parried attacks means fewer parry-hasted counter attacks) but anyone who's tanked can tell you that the ideals you aim for like 8% hit and 6.5% expertise (I think?) don't always happen. You're going to be going above, and below caps whether you like it or not, and some times you just have to take gear at the expense of a given stat.

Why these are good: Don't need to run ToC 25, don't need to compete with other tanks to get these. In theory buying these means you don't have to worry about your bracer slot till you're running heroic difficulty version of the instance. Finding the four crusader orbs can be hard, but not impossible.

Why they're bad: they're still expensive. They're not as good as the Shieldmaiden bracers- but only by a hair. If you're already hit capped, and / or don't want dodge there's little reason to actually seek these out.

Crusader orbs are at the moment like buying the very best computer that will drop its price to a quarter of its current price very shortly.

i.e. Yes, it's incredibly imba, yes it will give more HP but you will be so broke and you'll put so much effort in it that even "stats wise" it may be a bad investment since that time may have been put to getting other items while crusader orbs go down.

How much would you be willing to pay for a pair of these on yer wrists?

I currently have the plans on my alt and crafted one of these and ditched to the AH for 5000g buy out. Before that I adverticed them on the trade channel and got like 20 whispers in 1 hour or less. So the demand is there just need to get the price right.

After getting the mats to craft the ToC crafted chest piece, these mats will be child's play... these bracers save you the competition and you dont have to be a mega gold farmer to come up with the 4-5k gold, or to just save up badges for the orbs. Also, if you're a stam stacker like me, the socket gives you a 1up on the Armguards of the Shieldmaiden

For EH:
I rather get my Acidmaws from H toc10
this ones give less Sta and less hit
Dodge vs parry yeah dodge wins
Str is almost non existence

Then this are the 3rd best
The best ones are the shield maiden
people forget that hitting 56 expertise not only means that your attacks wont get dodge/parry
but also means that you wont haste the attacks of the boss (parry an attack = haste)

A good tanks always thinks about what to do and how will he do in the worst case scenario
That means when you dont dodge,parry,block

That brings us to the EH
EH: Is how you will perform in the worst case scenario... it doesnt take in count "random" stuff(like dodge( or coldowns
Its all about how you will do when the boss hits you non-stop
Stats that gets into EH:
Stamina/HP -> More HP
Armor -> less damage in any hit
Spell resistence -> it actually reduces some damage so yes it also counts for EH
and finally
Expertise: When a boss parries an attack, he gains haste (some bosses do), 35% to be exact, meaning that he will attack faster
Getting 56 expertise pushes parry out of the tables meaning that you will never be parried, thus its some way to increase your survivality during the whole fight and not actually being random (55 expertise can still get you parried) -> EH

I finally got all the mats for those bracers. I can say that it is going to be worth it I just need couple of gold for the fee and I will be wearing those in no time. What I did I waited till the Crusader orbs we're it's lowest at AH and then I searched for someone to sell it cheaper than AH in trade channel so it makes it alot easier. And I couldn't be bothered mining for couple of hours since Titanium Veins are hardly seen on my server(to many miners lol) So I waited till the Titansteel bar was cheap on AH and bought it when it was on the cheapest price. And Since I am miner I also bought some titanium ores witch is cheaper than bars on my server to make some Titanseel bars also.
For all of you out there that want those, just farm for them, they are really worth it. :)

I also found it easy that if you cannot get into a ToC raid and need to buy the Crusader Orbs, you should ask in trade for them for about 10-20% cheaper than the ah price. Right now these are going for 400g on malorne...I was able to round up 4 for 350g each.

Considering that my profession is mining, I was able to obtain Saronite Swordbreakers for 1400g (way better than paying 3500-5000 for them in the ah)

The one piece of gear I would recommend new tanks buying in 3.3. There's a pretty big itemization gap below these bracers and anything else you can get.

Save yourself some money and buy the mats individually and just throw a big tip at trade chat.

With the new trade in ability of Frozen Orbs to Crusader Orbs- these are a must get for any tank gearing up.

In patch 3.3.3 Smelt Titansteel CD and Transmute: Titanium CD have been removed
Also Frozo the Renowned sells Crusader obrs for 6 Frozen Orbs
