Can anyone confirm or refute these thoughts:

1. Equip: Improves haste rating by 74 (1.99% @ L80).
2. Equip: Your harmful spells have a chance to strike your enemy, dealing 1168 to 1752 shadow damage.

Is this a MELEE and CASTER trinket? Basically meaning all classes can use this? I don't see the common "...Spell Haste..." statement in the first equip bonus. Yes. I see the second bonus is for spells. But my question is to the FIRST equip bonus.

works out to be ~1400 dmg (Before target debuffs and crit chance) every 45-60 seconds.

so worst case 1400/60 = 23.3 DPS in addition to 2.26% haste which is the selling point of this item.

Chicken Net procced Pendulum of Telluric Currents(it crit too) murdering the chicken I was trying to catch =\

edit: it also procced off Tasy Reef Fish(another crit) nearly killing the Reef Bull I was trying to attract

I'd also be interested to know about what spells this can proc off of, as a melee shaman. If it will proc off of physical and melee abilities such as Lava Lash and Stormstrike, it would be excellent for enhancement (might still be even if it didn't, with Maelstrom Weapon and Earth Shock spam).

Interesting when compared to https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=42990. 11 more haste rating on the Darkmoon Card: Death, but the proc on Pendulum of Telluric Currents is significantly higher.

Since as a DK, I'm not technically a spell user, many of my abilities are regarded as melee, so my question is...does the proc effect work on spells like Icy Touch?

Just a little theory crafting on the proc portion of this trinket. To calculate the average dps done by this trinket I assumed a 45 seconds cooldown and a 15% proc chance. I came up with the formula

(1+crit%)*1460/(45+(average cast time)*ln(.5)/ln(.85))

The (45+(average cast time)*ln(.5)/ln(.85)) is derived from the internal cooldown + cast time * average number of casts to proc. At 30% crit and 1.5 sec cast times (numbers expected for say an eclipse moonkin) the proc portion alone can be expected to do about 36.9 dps.

My elemental shaman got this baby yesterday, I wanted to test this against the https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40682 one in 10-men naxx. Absolutely better than the epic one, my guildmates asked about how did I get this damage boost. The perfect proof: CoT: Strat HC, first boss, 5200 dps (only with selfbuff and a flask which was still active from naxx).

Is there any cooldown on this trinket's equip effect?
I know that the proc Lightweave Embroidery does have a cooldown, but that may only be due to its 50% chance (high chance) of proccing.

This will proc on non-damaging spells too. I had it proc on a slow spell, it was odd seeing damage come up when I casted that.

Since this deals shadow damage, it ignores armor. Correct?

If so, this would be a nice trink for any Unholy DK.

Just tested a bit with this trinket on a retribution paladin. Confirmed proccs from jugdement, consecration, Hand of Reckoning, and Exorcism. Even proccs of Holy Wrath, even if it doesn't hit anyone. But when using consecration, Exorcism and jugdement it doesn't procc that often, and does 0.6% of my total DPS, when I'm using all ma attacks. The highest crit I got out of it was 2653. I would clearly recommend another trinket for a retri pala :)

Strangely enough - this trinket is wonderful for Enhancement shamans if they can't get anything far better.

This trinket procs off of the following though my brief testing;
Stormstrike
Lava Lash
All Shocks
Maelstrom Weapon
Offensive spells (LB, Chain Lightning, LvB)
And most importantly - Flametounge Weapon.

With that being said, every single time the internal cooldown is up, though all these different effects - especially flametounge, it will proc.

Picked this up in a Heroic Random for fun since no one wanted, and I wanted to test poison proc capabilities.

With only MH application of Instant Poison (Deadly OH)

Test1: Naked, grey 1.8 speed Daggers auto-attack only - 45 minutes - the proc alone was 32.44 DPS.
Test2: Full Gear, Full cycle - 15 minutes (just wanted to get an idea) - proc was worth 38.35 DPS.

This puts this trinket proc at a Higher DPS for rogues than what is estimated by an above poster for casters (36 DPS). Unless a caster is pushing their GCD to the 1 sec cap and using only instant cast spells, this trinket actually favors combat classes with a high weapon spell proc rate rather than casters. The difference is, however, relatively minor; the main point being to not assume this trinket is caster only because it says "spell" on it.

Further Note: the 38.35 DPS was done in gear that is vastly beyond the level of this trinket, and for rogues this trinket will (minorly) scale with gear and spec based on poison hit, crit and haste. While I have no reason to believe a rogue at the level of attaining this trinket would be at a significantly lower amount of DPS gained from this trinket, it is important to note that they will probably not attain my full 38.35 DPS and probably be closer to between 37.5 and 37.8 (rough theorycraft estimate).

This dropped for us recently, and as a FFB mage in a random group, it wouldn't let me roll Need on it, as if it weren't designed for mages.

Someone else won it who hit disenchant :/

I use this with https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=39889 and found it procs off the proc. It's a nice 5k damage when they both crit. :P
