The BEST main hand axe for twink 40/49 bracket ever. For DW shaman and warrior! I have the ... of the Bear version.
My shammy 49 Achè (Orc, Hakkar realm) has it and use it with +20 strenght enchant. I also have Axe of Rin'ji on off-hand (20 strenght on this too).

I crit for 1000+ with SINGLE windfury on plate!!! I have screenshot that proof that. This axe is better than the Bonesnapper! Yes, I have Bonesnapper too^^...

I'd say its best level 49 twink weapon, especially for orcs. Stats makes it better than Bloodrazor is, extra ap makes it beat WSG Sword.

For 49 Fury Warrior twinks I prefer this weapon combo:
Main-hand: Ribsplitter with Mongoose.
Off-hand: Enchanted Azsharite Felbane Sword with Berserking, or any other WoltK enchant.

When are Enhancement Shamans going to realize that a fast Off-Hand is bad? For the level 40-49 bracket, Ribsplitter of the Bear / Smashing Star of the Bear is the best combo, as Stormstrike is instant and hits with BOTH weapons at the same time. Doesn't this mean your Windfuries won't be hitting like little girls? /cackle

edit: Since they changed it to 1h instead of main hand, this is now the best weapon to Dual Wield.

Technically (monkey suffix) is also the best 49 hunter twink weapon...

from https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=9416 but these are enchantable with 20 agil vs charge only getting 35 agility.

I have been farming the AH on cho'gall horde for one for over a month now, have YET to see even a single "monkey", although i did see an "eagle". It is looking like i am going to get the polearm and enchant it and replace it with this and a scouts blade if i ever see one of these on auction...they are just too rare

Nabo, for hunters, the best thing for a hunter would be 2 ribsplitter's with 30 int on them imo, or if desired agi if you are one of those hunters who just like to see big numbers. (aka you should have snagged that ribsplitter of the eagle, hunters need mana, i don't know if you knew that LOL)

Note to everyone: If you see a ribsplitter cheap on the ah, do yourself a favor and snag it and sell that baby for a ton!

This is not elligible for Executioner.. If you look back at the quests Chains that are needed to get to this quest chain. You will see that one of the quests require lvl 50 to Start...

The item itself is elligible for executioner. But not at 49.

Just take the time to look at the entire Chain.

Ribsplitter of the Eagle, Power, and Monkey are the best types for Enhancement Shamans now. If you can't find one on the AH, the next best pick up would be a Bonesnapper or possibly a Viking Warhammer (which is a little too fast).

To add to Shamanistics' statement, a slow off-hand weapon is generally better because:

It hits harder if you decide to use Flametongue Weapon and Lava Lash. (Glyph of Lava Lash further increases this potential)
It has less chances to "steal" a Windfury Weapon proc. Every time Windfury is procced, there is a hidden 3 second cooldown. With a faster Off-Hand, you are increasing the chance your Off-Hand will be the first hit outside of this cooldown, thus proccing Windfury with your gimped Off-Hand damage. (This only applies while using WF/WF on your weapons)
Slower Off-Hands tend to do more damage with Stormstrike due to their higher max damage.

This is all generalization and if the faster weapon is a significant DPS increase over a slower one, then it is likely to increase your overall DPS anyway.

An enhancement 49 twink dual wielding ribsplitters of the monkey/eagle would be so awesome. These are perfect. They are axes, they are slow, and they have very good stats.

You might start to see rogues duel wielding these, with crippling on main and wound on the off. (Wound poison now is based off weapon speed, not chance on hit.)... assuming that you can "quietly contemplate" in order to use axes by level 49.

yay i just got my ribsplitter of agility i am so happy its the most agility i ever saw on a 1h wep other than the pvp dagger wich also has 11 agi.so i poped 20 agi on both or then. lookout horde the best lvl 49 hunter just got better!

got ribsplitter of agility off of one of the fire elementals in BRD. i suspect every mob in BRD has a small chance of dropping it, if not everymob levels 46 - 55

i think dual wielding these baby's of power with a +15 agil enchant would be the best hunter setup in the game, that is when ur luckey enough to find two of power ones

that makes 30+30+10=70 attack power per weapon adding a total of 140 attack power thats pretty damn good

if someone knows a way to get more power from ur weapon slots, plz let me know
