The first quest in the "Balance of Power" chain for 增進歷史知識.
IMPORTANT WARNING: This questline will send you to do specific Mythic dungeons in succession, and you may not complete the quests in this chain if you're locked out of these dungeons for the week. (When the raids come out, it will also send you on detours through Emerald Nightmare.)

After this quest, Senegos sends you to Mythic Eye of Azshara for 艾薩拉之眼：辛艾薩拉之心.

When does this quest pop? Finished campaign i818. I dont see anything yet

評論來自 Fatherfury

This seems to pop when you unlock your 3rd relic and put in 3x 840+ relics. That's when I first saw it.

評論來自 Megumatron

I was unable to tell which component of my artifact triggered this quest to appear. Here are the variables as they were when I had Kalec's image appear in my order hall:

Restoration Druid Artifact

All relic slots used; 825, 825, 835 (Completed Campaign)
16 traits assigned; 2 were Gold Traits
98% towards next trait, with enough in my bags for next trait

Character Progression

Character iLvl of 840
Artifact Knowledge Rank 1
Completed 7/8 Heroic Dungeons (missing Eye of Azshara)
Completed 3/10 Mythic Dungeons (BRH, DHT, & HoV)
Honored with Nightfallen and all available story arcs complete

I am unsure how much of this makes any difference in triggering this quest, but I thought I would mention the things I figured could vary from person to person.

Kalec showed upon returning to my class order hall after running Mythic Halls of Valor (I'd imagine that is inconsequential). He was not there prior to the run.

I hope this helps!

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in about this as i was searching for this yesterday but couldnt find out how it spawned. So here is what my toon looked like when it had spawned:

Vengence Demon Hunter Artifact
- 3x 840 Relics 870 weapon. Class order completed
- Level 18 Weapon (43%), 2 Golden Dragons

Toon Progression
- All loremasters done expect 8/11 Suramar
- Item level 847
- 8/8 Heroic Dungeons completed
- 8/10 Mythic Dungeons completed - Missing Arcway/Court of Stars
- Honored with all factions expect Wardens - At friendly 4650 and revered with Highmountain

But to be hones i think that it all just random when he spawns after finishing your class order campaign.

I hope this all helps

This quest popped up for me after finishing the first artifact research (I'm going to assume this is the primary cause since it is an artifact quest)

I also have 5/11 suramar chapters done.

Things I can rule out as having an effect based on other comments
-Ilvl of your artifact relics, the lowest I have in my main weapon is 793. But this quest seems independent of which artifact is your "primary" one of choice. My offspecs have even lower and some are missing entirely.
-# of traits in the weapon and # of golden dragons unlocked.
-Honored with any factions
-Loremaster (i'm still missing stormheim's)

評論來自 visconwow

This just appeared for me after hitting revered with my 2nd legion faction and unlocking the boots. Might be unlocked after 6 set peices?

Artifact level 18, class hall campaign completed, and an 873 weapon and he still hasn't popped up yet he popped up for my friend who has the same exact gear/progression that I have. Does anyone know if there's something specific that must be done to actually make Kalecgos appear to you?

Just got this quest when I visited my Class Hall. I'm fairly certain that I've only done Mythic dungeons, dungeon achievements, and world quests since the last time I was in the hall. For consistency:

Paladin class order completed.

Holy - The Silver Hand (17 - 16544/18620)
- 840, 835, 845 Relics. 869 weapon.

Ret - Ashbringer (11)
- 840, 825, 825 Relics. 862 weapon.

Prot - Truthguard (5)
- 825, 840, none Relics. 826 weapon.

Character Progression
- All loremasters done expect 8/11 Suramar (4750/12000 Honored)
- Item level 843
- 8/8 Heroic Dungeons completed
- 8/10 Mythic Dungeons completed both weeks - Missing Arc/Court
- Honored with all factions expect Wardens (5475/6000 Friendly)
- 155 World Quests completed, Variety achievement unlocked yesterday.
- Broken Isles Explorer achievement unlocked yesterday.

99.9% certain that this quest pops depending on when you finished your class order campaign. I finished mine a day before my gf, and surprise surprise, she got hers a day after. We've cleared everything together since release, so have same ilevel, rep, AP, etc, just I skipped ahead on the class order campaign.

Also, everyone I knew who hasn't got it was late in finishing their quest, and those who were quick of the mark have it.

Hope this helps!

Edit: The time gate is 3-4 days, as said in a comment below.

Went to Order Hall at 99 World Quests, nothing. Completed one more, there he was.

If I had to guess, this quest has 3 triggers:

- Completed Class Campaign
- 50.000 Artifact Power obtained
- 100 World Quests completed

評論來自 710931

"Balance of Power" suggests probably, that it has something to do with more than one artifact. Most likely putting some points into second weapon unlocks the quest.

Its NOT tied to number of traits of your weapon. Got it today with 13/13 weapons.

Class campaign finished
over 200 World Quests completed
Nightfallen rep 1000/6000 honored
Not every Mythic dungeon done
Artifact knowledge 1
Suramar 3/11

Yesterday I did not have quest there. Today I started my 4th class hall upgrade and Image of Kalec is standing in my Class hall.

Maybe its related?

Not sure about what triggered mine, but as a Holy Paladin I got this quest probably yesterday or today. Here are my stats:

Artifact wise:

- 3 relic up (845, 840, 820)
- 868 ilvl
- Currently at 43% progress with 18 traits

Character wise:

- 837 ilvl
- Class Campaign completed 2 days ago.
- Off spec artifact is not leveled nor one of my alts. Both of those got the "My main can't/shouldn't use this" relics.
- Completed 5+ Mythic Dungeons.(5 of them being the same ones, not sure about the run count)
- 196 WQs completed in total.
- All HC dungeons are completed(Legion Hero achievement earned yesterday)
- Suramar is at 8/11
- The Nightfallen rep is Honored as 6.2k/12k
- All factions are Honored, Highmountain Tribe is currently the closest one to Revered.

I completed my 'A Glorious Campaign' on 9/06/16. Last night when I checked for the Image of Kalec I found nothing.

Today, on 09/10/16, at the same time that my Third Tier Order Advancement finished, the Image of Kalec was waiting by my forge.

It took either 4 days after my campaign, or the 3rd tier advancement unlock.

評論來自 ixnorp

Looking over the other contributions and assuming they're correct, it seems like Order Hall campaign completion is undoubtedly a factor and time after completion is very likely to be a factor. Only one person has said they've seen it in less than 48 hours after their Order Hall quest line was completed. This could possibly be a misinterpretation of the duration based on achievements only showing date in game and not time as well. No one has stated less than 24 hours. It seems relatively safe to conclude there is a time factor. Evidence strongly points to 48 hours after the Order Hall quest line, but this could also be less.

No one has reported a character (bag) ilevel of less than 840 and the quest directly references your growth in power so it appears highly likely that a character (in-bag) ilevel of 840 is a possible trigger requirement.

Artifact power is similar for most people, but some have said they had less than 50k AP between all of their weapons and some had as much as 100k so it seems likely that artifact power is not a factor. Since several people said they had it pop after doing a Skirmish and several have also said they have seen it pop after doing a Mythic dungeon, a possible trigger is completion of a Skirmish or Mythic Dungeon after meeting the two requirements above.

Artifact Research varies significant in reports so that seems unlikely to be a factor.
Order Hall upgrades vary significant in reports so that is unlikely to be a factor.
Number of Gold traits acquired varies and does not seem to be a factor.
World quest completion is unlikely to be a factor.

My own data:
I got this quest 2 days, 4 hours after finishing my Order Hall campaign. It might have been there earlier since I hadn't gone up to the Altar recently.
Priest.
Finished Artifact Knowledge 2 right before I noticed it.
49110 AP in my Holy weapon. Had just gotten Trait #18 which is why I was visiting the altar.
6520 AP in my Shadow weapon. Haven't touched the Disc staff since I got it. (55630 AP total)
Had just finished Eye of Azshara on Mythic (of course!). 6 total Mythic dungeons completed.
Had just hit ilevel 840.
Have not finished researching my 3rd Order Hall upgrade.
Less than 100 world quests completed.

edit: Got 1 report of someone claiming to have gotten the quest with only ilevel 833, but post-48 hours. They had trouble understanding the difference between bag and equipped though. I would be very interested in hearing if others have gotten it at less than 840.

For me, the quest popped up roughly 2 days after finishing the class order campaign.

Doubt there is a gear ilvl or an artifact lvl requirement for it though. I was at 825 ilvl, and my main artifact was at lvl 16, with only 1 dragon (the rest of the weapons being at lvl 1 :) )

For mages, if you're wondering why this quest isn't appearing and you have Archmage Kalec equipped as your bodyguard, you might try swapping him out for a different NPC.

I completed my Order Hall questline four days ago and was wondering why this quest wasn't appearing for me. Today I logged in, happened to switch Archmage Kalec up for another bodyguard, and when I zoned into my Order Hall later on Archmage Kalec was there with this quest.

I think that this quest becomes available after you reach 16th trait of your artifact weapon. I was standing in my class hall and he wasn't there. Went out to do a single artifact power world quest, got 16th trait, hearted back to class hall to upgrade it and saw him staring at a statue of my artifact weapon. He also says in the quest dialogue: "The power within your weapon has grown exponentially as you have fought the Legion."

Introduction
This quest is part of a comment-size guide for "Balance of Power." questline. Quests are pretty much self-explanatory and all it takes is some time and good will to complete them. Completing this questline rewards Artifact Appearance (Appearance 3, Tint 1).

Part 1
Image of Kalec appears in your Order Hall and gives you the following quest:
The Power Within (Meet Archmage Kalec at Azurewing Repose in Azsuna.)
Reasons behind appearance of Archmage Kalec in your Class Order Hall are not yet completely understood but most people noticed him few days after they completed their Class Campaign.

Part 2
From there you take a next quest from Senegos:
The Heart of Zin-Azshari (Retrieve the Heart of Zin-Azshari and defeat the Wrath of Azshara in the Eye of Azshara on Mythic difficulty.)

Part 3
After completing the previous quests you receive a few new quests (exactly 3: two from Senegos and one from Archmage Kalec).
Senegos:
A Vainglorious Past (Obtain a Vainglorious Draught from Veridis Fallon.)
- You can purchase Vainglorious Draught from Veridis Fallon in Crumbled Palace in Azsuna for 150g (Requirement: Court of Farondis - Honored).

Fallen Power (Recover a Corrupted Essence from Oakheart and defeat the Shade of Xavius in Darkheart Thicket on Mythic difficulty.)

Archmage Kalec:
Tempering Darkness (Obtain 30 Blood of Sargeras.)
Should not be a problem since by the time you get that quest and if you did not spend any Blood of Sargeras you should have some stacked up simply by completing Dungeons and World Quests.

Part 4
Archmage Kalec:
Lucid Strength (Absorb the power from the Corrupted Essence using the Heart of Zin-Azshari.)
Right next to you.

Part 5
Senegos:
The Wisdom of Patience (Await the opening of The Emerald Nightmare, then report back to Senegos in Azsuna.)

Part 6
Archmage Kalec:
In Nightmares (Obtain a Deathglare Iris and the Horn of the Nightmare Lord from The Emerald Nightmare.) NOTE: NOT doable with LFR. It has to be Normal difficulty or higher. In order to complete this quest you need to kill 2 bosses: Il'gynoth and Xavius and loot mentioned quest items.

Senegos:
Essence of Power (Collect 30 Corrupted Essence from The Emerald Nightmare.) This quest gave me a weird WoD and Khadgar flashback. NOT doable with LFR. Only Normal or higher difficulty. Essences ~~do not~~ have a 100% drop rate and bosses can drop 1-2 3 Corrupted Essences at the time.

Part 7
Senegos:
Essential Consumption (Absorb the combined power of the Corrupted Essences using the Heart of Zin-Azshari.)
Right next to you.

Part 8
Archmage Kalec:
Repaid Debt (Meet Archmage Kalec in the Shal'Aran in Suramar.)

Part 9
Thalrenus Rivertree:
Lost Knowledge (Obtain the Scroll of Elun'dris from First Arcanist Thalyssra.)
- Costs 120g. Requirement: The Nightfallen - Revered).

Part 10
Thalrenus Rivertree:
Borrowing Without Asking (Recover a Containment Crystal from the Vault of the Wardens on Mythic difficulty.)

Syrana Starweaver:
Rite of the Captain (Take Advisor Vandros' Eon Winder from The Arcway on Mythic difficulty.)

Lothrius Mooncaller:
Literary Perfection (Find Lothrius' first edition copy of "Wards, Sigils, and the Nightborne Way" in the Court of Stars on Mythic difficulty.)

Part 11
Syrana Starweaver:
Twisted Power (Use a Greater Portal Stone to summon Vizuul the Twisted at the Altar of End Times in Faronaar and collect his runebindings.)

Part 12
Syrana Starweaver:
A True Test (Absorb the power from the Twisted Runebindings using the Heart of Zin-Azshari.)
Right next to you.

Part 13
Archmage Kalec:
Seeking the Valkyra (Seek out Ashildir at the Vault of Eyir in Stormheim.)

Part 14
Ashildir:
The Mark (Prove your worth to the Valarjar, then receive the Mark of the Valkyra from Eyir.)

Part 15
Ashildir:
Retrieving the Svalnguard (Retrieve the Svalnguard and defeat Helya in the Maw of Souls on Mythic difficulty.)

Part 16
Ashildir:
A Feast Fit for Odyn (Acquire flank meat from Thunderhoof in Stormheim, Spinesever's spine in Highmountain, and a steak from Leytusk in Azsuna.)

Presentation is Key (Retrieve 4 Adamantium Casing Scraps and defeat Dargrul the Underking in Neltharion's Lair on Mythic difficulty.)

Part 17
Ashildir:
Odyn's Blessing (Obtain Odyn's blessing in the Halls of Valor on ~~Heroic or~~ Mythic difficulty.)
- Use Grand Feast of Valhallas when you enter the dungeon - at the start. You can enter the dungeon alone, put the feast down, get out and then get a group to defeat Odyn and get his blessing. After you defeat him wait for him to finish his speech (RP) and then you can collect his blessing on the loot chest.

Part 18
Archmage Kalec:
Planning the Assault (Await the opening of the Nighthold, then meet Archmage Kalec in Shal'Aran.)

Part 19
Archmage Kalec:
Into the Nighthold (Collect 20 Nightshards from the Nighthold on Normal difficulty or higher.)
- Try and complete this quest without killing Gul'dan because if you kill him before acquiring The Nighthold: Darkness Calls quest in Part 20 he won't drop quest item for you this week and you'll need to wait for a next reset to complete The Nighthold: Darkness Calls quest in Part 20.

Thalrenus Rivertree:
The Nighthold: Delusions of Grandeur (Collect the core of Trilliax and Grand Magistrix Elisande's Millennia Tome in the Nighthold on Normal difficulty or higher.)

Part 20
Archmage Kalec:
The Nighthold: Darkness Calls (Bring one Gul'dan's eyes to Archmage Kalec on Normal difficulty or higher.)

Part 21
Archmage Kalec:
Balance of Power (Absorb the combined power of the Nightshards and the Eye of Gul'dan using the Heart of Zin-Azshari at the Lunar Crucible.)

Congratulations on completing this questline and acquiring new Artifact Appearance. Enjoy!
Foxies, out.

For anyone who completed this and Archmage Kalic is no where to be found, it just happened to me. The quest turn in ? was there, but he was not. I reloaded, nothing. Decided to log out and back in to see if that brings him out of hiding, I didn't have to go that far. I was standing next to where the yellow ? was when I clicked on log out. He appeared before my bar got 1/4 of the way through. I cancelled log out and turned the quest into him. I hope this helps others with the same issue. :D

For people who get to Azurewing Repose and see NOTHING:

You have to complete Azsuna quests in order to open up Azurewing Repose, so that you can see 賽諾苟斯.

I had completed the full Azsuna questline on my druid and had no problem completing this initial quest. However, when I returned on my paladin, I saw nothing. I had skipped questing in Azsuna.

Once you open up Azurewing Repose with 賽諾苟斯 visible... you should be able to complete this quest.

I will confirm, but I believe you have to complete 飢渴末路 to complete this.

I can confirm that entering an arena skirmish while in your order hall makes kalec spawn when you return ( if you have completed all prequesites ofc). After finishing the senegos questline in azsuna he was nowhere to be found but appeared as soon as i left the skirmish. Also there is no wait like some older comments suggest, finished the quest, did a skirmish and he was there right after.

評論來自 Nelinde

So I completed my class hall campaign on my Hunter alt today and had already completed all the quests in Azsuna. Kalec would not spawn for me no matter what I did, re-log, zoned out to Dalaran etc.
So as per the advice on several comments on this thread I signed up for a skirmish arena and left. Kalec was stood there waiting for me in my class hall....

I've also completed the class hall campaigns o a handful of other alts this past week and Kalec spawned straight away. The only difference being is that I leveled through invasions and hadn't completed any Azsuna quests....

There are several tertiary requirements that you'll need to meet to be able to progress along the Balance of Power quest chain at various points. You can and should work towards completing these as soon as possible if you want to complete the quest chain quickly. If you wait to pursue these objectives until you're forced to by a quest, you'll increase your total time required to complete this chain significantly, as, especially in the case of Reputations, progression is time gated.
In the order they become relevant, they are:

Complete your Order Hall Campaign through 輝煌的戰役, 鑄於戰火, and 出場吧，勇士. This is required for Kalec to appear in your Order Hall and offer 隱藏的力量. It usually takes him 1-3 days after you've done this to appear.
Complete the "Behind Legion Lines" quest objective of 艾蘇納馬踏踏, beginning with 加入戰鬥 and ending with 黑暗啟示 to unlock and then complete the "Defending Azurewing Repose" quest objective of 艾蘇納馬踏踏, beginning with 前往蒼翼之憩 and ending with 飢渴末路 in Azsuna. This is required before you can turn in 隱藏的力量 to begin the Balance of Power chain in earnest.
Earn Honored Reputation with the 法隆迪斯廷衛. This is required to purchase the 虛榮之飲 from 佛里迪斯‧法隆 for 往日榮光. This is the last tertiary objective you'll need to have done before you can begin Emerald Nightmare for your 30 腐化精華 for 翡翠夢魘：力量精華. which will take you at least two raids to do unless you are extremely lucky.
Complete the "Nightfall" quest objective of 夜落但不失落, beginning with 卡德加的發現 and ending with 秘法飢渴, then complete 沙亞蘭 to unlock and then complete the "Moon Guard Stronghold" quest objective of 悠遊蘇拉瑪爾, beginning with 無須眷戀 and 守衛的命運, and ending with 月之守衛的最後一戰 in Suramar. This is required before you can complete 清償債務 and progress the Suramar portion of the quest chain.
Earn Revered Reputation with 夜落精靈. This is required to purchase the 月神之眼卷軸 from 首席秘法師薩莉瑟拉 for 被遺忘的知識 which you'll need to do as soon as you begin the Suramar portion of the quest chain.
Earn Revered Reputation with the 華爾拉亞 to prove your worth to Eyir and receive the Mark of the Valkyra for 印記 in Stormheim. This is the last tertiary objective you'll need to complete, and is required before you can progress the Stormheim portion of the quest chain.

Lastly, while not a requirement, it is recommended that if you manage to collect all of the 暗夜裂片 for 暗夜堡：進入暗夜堡 before you kill Gul'dan, that you return to Shal'Aran as soon as you have them and 暗夜堡：妄自尊大 completed, because you will not be able to loot the 古爾丹之眼 during the same week for the next and final quest, 暗夜堡：黑暗呼喚, if you have already killed him.

Edit: As of Patch 8.0.1, 暗夜堡：黑暗呼喚 appears to be available alongside 暗夜堡：進入暗夜堡 and 暗夜堡：妄自尊大 instead of being made available after them.

This popped for me on every alt I've leveled after researching the 2nd legendary. Make sure you've completed Azsuna.

A precondition for the Image of Kalec to appear in the Order Hall seems to be the Tier 6 Order Advancement (e.g. Legends from the Grave).

After reaching Level 110 on my Druid and completing the preconditions I knew (Aszuna Questline, Class Campaign) the Image of Kalec still didn't appear. I advanced through everey Quest from my Class Hall and Dalaran I found without success while parallel researching my Class Hall Advancements. On the first time I logged in after the sixth Tier was researched, the Image of Kalec was waiting for me in my Class Hall.

Okay after logging off and back on, doing a dungeon, doing a raid, doing the legionfall campaign, starting suramar, and doing ALL the artifact quests he still wasn't there.

At a last ditch attempt I decided to try the queue for a skirmish thing. After leaving it he was standing there in my class hall. Seriously, can we get this fixed Blizz?

So the skirmish thing does work, confirmed.

I'm never completing this quest when every time I stroll into my Class Order Hall I'm greeted in awe with "Truly marvelous! I wonder..."

No need to wonder my friend, I'm the real deal...but don't touch...ok ok just once, but make it quick.

For people that are starting this on new alt, all you need to do is finish your Order/Class Hall campaign and research Order/Class Hall upgrades (to point when you are able to wear 2 legendary items) and Kalec will appear in Order Hall. Just did this on 2 fresh alts. Haven't touched any of the Legion quests since i leveled them only by invasions. Hope this helps for people that are stuck/don't know how to start Balance of Power quest line. I would recommend clearing all quests in Azsuna since you will need honored status with Court of Farondis later in quest chain and also to be able to see Kalec in Azsuna.

if Kalec isn't in your order hall when you finish your campaign, wait 24 hours (unsure whether you need an actual artifact equipped to see him, I did have one equipped even though this was a 120). You don't need to do the order hall research.

To be eligible to receive this quest you must have completed: 輝煌的戰役, 出場吧，勇士 and 鑄於戰火 on the character you want to do this quest (隱藏的力量) on. You must also have completed the Azsuna campaign (also on the said character) up to the point where you have unlocked the quests in Azurewing Repose subzone (concluding with quest 飢渴末路). If you have completed all of the following (like I had) and 卡雷克的影像 is NOT present in your Order Hall (check map), then you must wait 1-3 days for him to appear. I had this same issue on an alt and received this response from a GM.

It is also helpful to be Honored with 法隆迪斯廷衛 in order to complete the quest 往日榮光, Revered with 夜落精靈 for the quest 被遺忘的知識, and Revered with 華爾拉亞 for the quest 印記. Kalec wasn't present although the orange question mark was on my minimap. I mounted up, flew about 200 yards away, and flew right back to Senegos, and there he was like usual. This is the 5th or 6th character I've done this same quest with the same exact solution of flying away and flying back to 'load' him into the zone. At least 4 or 5 of the characters I have done this on were during BfA. I don't know why a GM would tell someone to wait 1-3 days. That's ridiculous and not necessary.

Kalec will not show up in order hall. Is this quest still Available for BFA. I Boosted a Druid and went back and did the Legion Hall quest line including all the Azurewing ones, however He has yet to spawn in my order hall after 2 weeks of finishing everything. Is this quest still Available now that the weapons have been maxed/sacrificed?

I have my Legion Weapon Equipped but still no sign of him.

Thanks for any help you all can provide.

Do not down rate the skirmish advises. I completed the class hall campaign, then waited a few hours. After I came back no kalec.
Then I queued an arena skirmish and when I was back in the class hall, kalec was already there.

p.s.: artifact weapon was not equipped.

評論來自 Amasoful

Can confirm the requirements:

- Complete your Order Hall Campaign through A Glorious Campaign, Forged for Battle, and Roster of Champions. This is required for Kalec to appear in your Order Hall and offer The Power Within. It usually takes him 1-3 days after you've done this to appear.

- Complete the "Behind Legion Lines" quest objective of Azsuna Matata, beginning with Into the Fray and ending with Dark Revelations to unlock and then complete the "Defending Azurewing Repose" quest objective of Azsuna Matata, beginning with Journey to the Repose and ending with Hunger's End in Azsuna. This is required before you can turn in The Power Within to begin the Balance of Power chain in earnest.

After you finish those requirements just queue for an Arena skirmish and when you're done with it you should find Kalec in your order hall if he didnt spawn before (I don't know whwy thaat is but it was what happened with me)

If you complete all the pre-requisites, including order hall camping (you should earn A Glorious Campaign and Forged for Battle Achievements) and behind legend lines quest line and still can't see Kalec in your order hall (which is exactly what happened to me), you'll need to compete the quest series end with quest : 六法議會的禮物. Kalec shows up immediately after I complete this quest.

I had problems with this quest as well. I actually abandoned the quest first time it popped up for me and though it was bugged since Kalec did not appear in Azure wing repose. (later I found about the whole questline thing and so on...)

To get Kalec appear again I had to complete achievements:
A Glorious Campaign
Roster of Champions
Forged for Battle
Azsuna Matata

Then I went to start this questline from Dalaran:
軍團之殞部隊
From broken shore I got this:
軍團之殞勇士

After that I went to my guild hall and Kalec was there and after accepting the quest he also appeared in Azurewing repose.

I didn't see this in any of the recent comments, but I have just confirmed that the rep grind (revered with Nightfallen and Valarjar at least) are no longer necessary for this quest to appear in the Class Hall. I'm not certain if any of the rest of the quest lines are attributed to a single character because by the time I discovered this, I had went ahead and completed all the quest lines on the toon I was working with. This was very good news to me as I had a lot of rep grind to go from Honored to Revered with two factions. Of note, I was working with the same toon that I completed the Class Order on a while ago, not sure that matters or not.

Came back for TWW after being on Classic pretty exclusively for awhile.
If, like me, you're wanting to finish up some things in Legion, and you have multiple characters you played during that time
(and you don't remember where you were on your class hall campaign) :

*** get the add-on BtWquests ***
- Make sure you load the Legion module (as each expansion module has to be manually loaded until you click the checkmark for it to auto-load)
It was a huge help.

_________________

Edit Update :
TL;DR - this questline didn't take me anywhere near as long as I thought it might.
BtWQuest add-on was *extremely helpful*
_________________

The short story long :
Power Within & Balance of Power are much easier now (for many reasons but esp without the reputation requirements). Power Within & Balance of Power has gone much more quickly than expected (though, granted, I am lucky to have more free time than most people).

I'm currently on the last several steps of Balance of Power to *finally* get the account wide achievement. It was a lot of running around (which is cake everywhere but Argus zones due to skyriding), but the questline from beginning to (almost) end didn't take me anywhere near as long as I thought it would.
(Unleashed Monstrosities for my orange primal stalker druid form, however, is a different story :P )

BtWQuests was super helpful throughout, esp because I was a huge altaholic when Legion was new content.
I'd done bits and pieces of zones & questlines across 5 or 6 characters >.<
Just follow the specific questline grid for whatever questline you're working on currently (unless there are pre-requisites you need to finish or other content you want to tackle), and ignore any out-of-date bits in the addon about required levels from before the level squish (except anything about needing to be minimum level 45 to do Legion endgame stuff like Broken Shores, Argus, raids, etc)

If the way the information is organized in the add-on ever confuses you, just hop back on to WoWhead, search the questline and read comments (sort newest first when necessary, as you may encounter information in older comments that is no longer pertinent to current gameplay, though, often, they have helpful information on how to do a specific part of a quest).

Now that there's no real reason to have a bunch of alts unless you're in several different guilds (at least, not more than one of every class), I was able to consolidate the scattered bits of questlines I'd done on various characters using the add-on. It's also extremely helpful that we can choose to out-level the content now and solo everything if we want to, even the raids. (though, if you're like me, mythic Kil'Jaeden might kill you more than a few times <.< )

The only thing you cannot solo now at 60+ are the Legion Assault Scenarios, but I didn't have to wait very long for them. I think the longest I waited was 20-30 minutes when I was queueing for an assault scenario at 3 am EST. Quite a few people are finishing Legion content right now, or doing class hall campaigns they didnt get to before. With layering working the way it does now, that means we don't have to wait hours and hours to queue for a Legion Assault Scenario when the assaults are active. The front page of WoWhead will tell you when the next Legion Assault is (and where) if you scroll down a bit to the section called "Today in WoW", then use the drop down menu (where the expansions are listed) and change to Legion.

I've been *really* enjoying experiencing Legion content again, especially endgame, as it's always been my favorite expansion. I wasn't able to do any of the raids the first time around, so it's been amazing to get to experience the story in a more cohesive manner and see raid content for the first time.

Good luck to all the returning players, all the people revisiting or finishing old content, and to anyone new to the game! :)
And have fun, that's the most important thing <3

So he has now appeared in the my order hall (druid) and gave the quest. Or the bug just goes away with that? Try doing everything else in Azsuna first if you have this problem!

Like others, I could see this quest on the world map, but when I showed up to my class hall, I could not see Kalec and could not accept the quest. However, it turns out that I still had class hall things to do, as they appeared at the top of my quest log. I finished everything last night, but still could not see Kalec in my order hall.

However, after completing ALL of my order hall quests, he showed up offering this quest right after server reset, only about 8 hours after finishing my last order hall quest.

TLDR; Double, even triple check that you have ALL of your order hall quests done, then wait until server reset and check for this again.

He showed up after I did the Tears of Elune quest (Goddess watch over You in the Class Hall), which requires you to go to Val'Sharah to start with the Cenarius Storyline and all of the Archdruid storylines , Return to the Grove, and Love Lost in order to get the Tears of Elune...once I turned in Goddess Watch Over You, he showed up in the Order Hall.

Just as a FYI the Mythic 0 dungeons can be soloed without much issue at around 700 ilvl and 100 vers -- probably a lot sooner, but I never thought to try before that.

I turned off Heroic mode and Kalec popped up right there next to Senegos

I've done various testing on remix characters and I'm 99% sure that the majority of theories about why this quest is on the map but not actually there are wrong. You don't need to do anything beyond the class hall campaign up to and including A Hero's Weapon. I have this quest on characters with none of the zone campaigns done or even started, with only 1 artifact weapon unlocked, with several quests in the Order Hall section not yet done, and not even max level.

You just need to do A hero's weapon and wait. I have no idea what actually triggers Kalec to appear, but its definitely something more along the lines of a weekly or daily server reset than any hidden ingame requirement. Try relogging, switching between hc and normal world tiers, warmode on/off etc. Most likely, you just have to check back daily until he shows up.

As others have mentioned, I'm pretty sure the daily reset was what got Kalecgos to show up for me. Did the order hall/Aszuna pre-reqs yesterday and the the posts saying to just relog or turn heroic tier on/off didn't work. Logged in today after work and he's there now.

If you're doing Legion Remix (Lemix), you have the quest, and you can't turn it in, it's probably because Azsuna was not your first zone choice when you first started your toon. Go back to your Class Order Hall, go to your Scouting Map, and select Azsuna. At that point you'll meet up with Khadgar and fly down to Illidari Stand. You have to do those to unlock the quest chain.

As of today ( 02-21-26 ) The arena tricks still worked for my druid hall. Don't ask me why. I was seeing the quest icon on my map but did everything and Kalec wasn't appearing. Joining a skirmish arena while i was in the order hall did make him appear

As of Sept 26, 2026, I can confirm that finishing an arena skirmish will force Kalec to appear in the Dreamgrove druid class hall. Nothing else worked for me!
