Unfortunately, I can't add much right now. The key dropped for me on my first kill, a Shocktrooper. Talking to some friends, it looks to be a random drop off of any etheral in the Etherium Staging Grounds (didn't check the new mobs they just added). Drop rate seems to be fairly high, of course this might be a biased opinion since I only killed one guy for it.

Echoing the above poster's comment, its a random drop from the Etherium Staging Ground npcs. I got mine off an overlord, and it was the third mob I killed on the quest.

mobs around 56 39, random drop. take me about 20kills

Ok i started the quest, walked over to the first Ethereum dude i saw.
Killed an Ethereum Avanger at _ 58,34 _ ( you see it from the questgiver) and it dropped from the FIRST kill. Maybe was pure luck but not a hard quest ;)

Dropped off Captain Zovak for me.

dropped off of the 3rd Shocktrooper i killed. ez mode

評論來自 swotam

I also got my key off the first mob I killed. I wonder if the drop rate is higher if you have this quest in your log? Maybe I was lucky, or maybe they do this so you don't get too annoyed by the horrible drop rate until you get to the repeatable one.

Got it off of Warden Icoshock. First kill.

Dropped on 6th kill.

You might aswell pick up the quest The Ethereum ( http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10339 ) and do it while you're here.

As said above, this quest requires you to be Honored with the Consortium.

Also, after you complete this quest, you will be able to loot Ethereum Prison keys from any Outland ethereal that's not a part of the Consortium. The follow-up actually requires these very same key in order to get the ID tag.

After this point you can now loot these keys for Consortium rep as well as a few other BC reps. In the past, I've freed Cenarion Expedetion and Sporregar NPCs from the chambers and got a bonus to those reputations, and there are other reps you can farm via the statis chambers.

A list of ethereum which drop keys (but is not limited to just these areas) is below:

Mana-Tombs
Any ethereum in Netherstom
Bashir Landing in Blade's Edge
And possibly, though I haven't confirmed it, around Oshu'Gun in Nagrand.

Here is my experience summarized on how to get this item. I just did it on one of my characters to prepare for Timewalking in patch 6.2.

Before you start you might consider purchasing the required materials that will be required further into the quests. It can help reduce farm and speed up completion. At some point you'd need to turn in 10x以太皇族監獄鑰匙, but in addition you'd need one extra to continue the quest chain. So if I were you, buy at least 10 of these from the Auction House. Though this is not required, just saves you perhaps an hour of farm in total (if unlucky like me.)

Anyway start by doing these quests in the following order:

One tip to greatly increase the speed of the farm is to actually enter Heroic 法力墓地 because you can farm the last boss indefinitely. He will first spawn 以太信標 and these mobs will spawn 以太學徒 and these give 10 rep in Normal, and 21 rep in Heroic. If you have 4 hours to kill spamming one macro, basically create this:
/cleartarget
/targetexact Ethereal Apprentice
/use ABILITYTHATCANBESPAMMEDTOKILLSTUFF
/stopattack
/tar player
/use Battle Standard of Coordination
I've included the 協調戰旗 to speed up the process. Also helps you not forget to spawn it once it is off cooldown and the old one despawns.

Once Exalted you can go to 指揮官阿密爾的影像 and complete the final quest 哈拉瑪德之眼 (only requires Exalted, nothing else) for 哈拉瑪德之眼 and you can spawn 約兒 each time you visit the instance - no need to farm keys for one time use consumables.

Noobs, once you get an Ethereum key go and unlock one of those pink chambers and you'll find the Id tag. Drop rate here for level 75 warrior was crap, but two daysoff farming and I got the key too unlock. GL all.

To check whether you have completed this quest, and thus whether the Etherium keys will even drop for you, the command is:
