Boss has around 21M health, hits for around 90-120K (on leather) and three notable abilities:

- A roar that fears you for ~3 secs.
- A "stampede" style ability, the stampeding devilsaurs inflict ~25k each (on leather).
- A Skumblade add appears on the edge of his spawn area, and the boss moves to eat it, and recover health. Have to kill the add before the boss reaches it. (Add has 393k health)

Be careful when you summon this add. Other players can and often times will taunt them away until they despawn.

Does he loot anything though? I've just done the challenge although i die 2-3 times, i got a lot of chests. Didn't get to the end but got around 4 ritual stones!

Easiest way to acquire 雷神皇宮鑰匙 is from him, in my experience. If you see a group forming for him in General ("Setting the Trap"), I highly recommend joining.

Make sure you loot him once he dies. Two out of three times he dropped 4 of these keys meaning 4/5 of the group were able to loot a key.

I recommend doing this on every toon, especially alts that could benefit from the amount of 長者的好運符咒 you acquire during the Treasure solo instance.

Manageable with three guys. LFR geared ranging form 460 - 485, Resto Druide + Shadow Priest + Arms Warrior aka "the tank". It was an interesting fight that was really, really close sometimes. I would add a real tank or at least a third DD if you have similar gear than we do.

Even if you wipe, there is still hope! If your group has multiple people with stones, everyone should activate the quest. Everyone in the group will get credit for the kill and get the achievement as long as the quest is active in their log - whether or not they were the one who summoned Echo of Kros. If you have stones left, you can then use them for the next quest in the series OR, if you wiped, you will get a second chance!

In my case, 2 people in our group had stones and we wiped the first time before we figured out the fight. My druid did the second summons, and the hunter also got credit for the quest completion when we successfully downed Echo of Kros. It may even work if you participate in the kill and are not in the group (as long as you have the quest), but I am not sure.

Although I was ALMOST able to kill Kros with a group of 4 DPS (and a 5th joined near the end, when Kros was at about 25%) I highly recommend having a tank and a healer, or at least one good tank or one good healer. We very nearly managed it by just running from the graveyard a lot, but at 5% all 5 of us died at the same time.

As for the actual strategy, the most important thing is to make sure to kill the saurok that spawns before Kros can eat it. Even with 5 DPS, the heal almost made up for the damage we could deal in the time between spawns, so each time we failed to kill the saurok was a pretty big setback.

damn it, i lost my 3 stones not knowing what would happen, i just clicked on the stone to see what happens and i almost instantly died. what a waste of 3 stones.

a bit sad they didn't ask confirmation and gave a warning you'd lose your stones.

When trying to complete the quest late at night I was only able to find two other people, but we gave it a shot anyway. We had a heals, a tank, and one dps. Finding that we were not in any risk of dying and enh shammy healing would suffice I ran off, switched spec, and came back. However even with this dps boost we still had trouble killing his sacrifice before it healed him as we were all melee, making no progress towards him dying. We then decided to see how far we could kite him because it was going nowhere, at which point we noticed something peculiar, if you drag him far enough away he can't eat his sacrifices as they appear on the altar, thus trivialising the fight. After we discovered this the fight became incredibly easy even with three people. If you use this method you can pretty safely kill him with 2 dps and a tank, or maybe even 2 dps and a heals if the heals is good.

Quite easy to solo as an Affliction Warlock. Using a Voidlord and Soulburn: Health Funnel, your pet cant really die. Just make sure Kros is far away from where the add spawns and you should be able to kill it before he reaches it. After that, take him further away again, rinse and repeat.

I assume a Hunter can also quite easily solo it.

I've found this elite mob while farming rares with a friend, no one was fighting him and there were no players (dead or alive) around. We decided to try it just for fun.
I'm a blood DK ilvl 480 and my friend is a hunter ilvl 490~
We killed him without any problem, i kept him far away from the altar so that the hunter could kill the saurok every time it spawned. If you try this without a healer be sure to avoid every ghost raptor summoned during the stampede because they hit hard (20k~ each) + you can't attack for 3-4 sec after.
So if you keep him away from the altar and avoid touching those ghosts you can easily do it 1 tank + 1 dps

Well, it was a tough fight, but I managed to solo it. BM Hunter, with direhorn tank. Always mend pet, pop stampede when you can, and keep Dire beast and Barrage/Power Shot/Glaive toss for the Skumblade to keep him from healing.

Duo'ed him today as a Shaman healer (ilvl 538) with a lock DPS (ilvl 527). Voidwalker (without Grimoire of Supremacy) tanked it while I healed and lock bursted Kros down.

Pretty straight foward fight, when the add spawn, lock havoc'd him and Chaos Bolt, killing the add and mantaining DPS on Echo of Kros.

Currently impossible to solo as BM hunter (ilvl 525) due to the ridiculous amount of adds in the area. Even if you clear the area first, they respawn within a minute, so you must fight the boss, kill the ritualist, and fight ever increasing adds that continually respawn. Eventually you have so many adds that even a turtle with all cools up and mend pet cannot survive.

Echo of Kros was quick and easy to solo on my frost DK with an item level of 684. The only cooldowns I used were Pillar of Frost and the on-use effect of Vial of Convulsive Shadows (ilvl 670). The little skumblade add didn't even have a chance to spawn.

For any hunters out there wondering if they can tame this, I tried it out yesterday and so far it isn't tamable. It is currently classified as undead so I thought there might be a chance I could tame it with my undead hunter but no luck. Maybe one day?

As mention in previous posts, you can loot more than one 衫織儀式石 a week by looting bosses with auto loot off and forcing the drops to be sent to your mailbox. This can be done an unlimited amount of times as long as you never physically loot a 衫織儀式石 from a rare or chest. Summonable bosses can also be looted mutiple times a week for those interested in farming the epic weapon drops for transmog.
