With the LFR Molten Core coming up and the legendaryness of MC legendaries, might give the same visual effect as when you turn 薩弗隆戰錘 into 薩弗拉斯，炎魔拉格納羅斯之手. POSSIBLY a limited-time drop off LFR Ragnaros which will be added to your garrison weapon enchant transmogs once you've looted the actual item.

No confirmation on this, but I think it would match well with Blizzard's development patterns. Should anyone get this on Beta, please reply to this post so it can be updated!

The flames very heavily surround the weapon and leaves a trail of fire in the air as the weapon moves. The fiery effect on it is quite intense.

Edit: 12/24/2015 As of 2015 the幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 was added to the 燻木牧場特殊禮物 which is a quest reward from a once a year quest 燻木牧場的感謝 you can complete during Winter's Veil. Once per toon per year. I only have one character below lv 100 which is a lv 66 rogue who was unable to get the daily.

One of two possible rewards for completing the 40 man LFR version of Molten Core during the WoW's 10th Anniversary 魔獸世界10週年紀念 more than once. Upon completion of the raid the first time players will be rewarded a helm for their armor type and 熔核犬鎖鍊 which teaches the mount 熔核犬. Ilevel 615 required to que for Molton Core LFR.

Repeat runners of the Molten Core LFR have a chance to receive the 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 enchant illusion and the battle pet 迷你憎光. Source https://twitter.com/Muffinus/status/509823441088679936 These do not have a guaranteed drop rate so more than 2 runs may be required. The 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 is reusable however.

All helms will also come with +63 Fire Resistance. Long time players will remember resistance stats and how necessary they were to do the original Molten Core at content.

After 4 runs still no drop, at this pace I will become exalted with Hydraxian Waterlords before getting the flames, also grinding this is really time consuming, it takes approximately 2 hours for a full clear with a decent group.

Edit: did a 5th run with a premade, noone got the flames, usually it's 2 per 40 people.

Seriously the drop chance is way too low, really can't this be a 100% item? It takes long enough to do MC, i did MC 3 times and out of 3 times not a single person got it in the raid, nobody. It's only obtainable during this event no? So why has it such a low drop chance :(

Edit: 5 Kills, still haven't seen it drop for anyone, really blizzard? pet drops on avg for 3 people out of 40, comn having such low drop rates on a event that's only happening once (ie everything becomes unobtainable) is ridiculous.

I was really excited for this enchant and after running MC an upwards of ten times with no luck for this and nobody in my last three raids even getting one I just need to say something.
The issue I'm observing isn't even the fact that it's not a 100% drop like many users on this forum would like, it's that it will be gone forever after this event, which essentially forces a collector do only one thing when you log in (farm MC for hours because you won't be able to later). Not only is this unrewarding to farm but down right aggravating. If they added this item as a weekly possibility from maybe reg or Firelands Rag at even a .5% drop rate it wouldn't bother me, but making a 1 time only item this rare is just silly and makes game play for a collector lose all of it's intrinsic options because of the time limit. I had over 14 runs so far in MC, all I do in wow atm is queuing for MC since the release. Sure, we got until 5th january, but that is no longer a good new since no one will queue up for MC when all new contents is up(e.g. raids, arena). A lots of player wont re-queue for MC since it require a lot of time and effort.

This is getting so frustrated and ridiculous. I logged in 1 pm and I only had 2 run since that, it's almost 11:26 pm atm. Still waiting for the third, been queueing for 3 hours so far.

They should AT LEAST increase it's drop rate 1% per run or something. I don't really get blizzards idea why they have a low drop rate and let player farm over and over again without any result. MC is time-consuming, and you are not even making any profits of it because of all wipes.

This isn't fair for us who's trying to farm the Flames of ragnaros.

Keep in mind that the drop-chance/rate for this item mentioned on WoWhead is absolutely inaccurate. WoWhead assumes that the Flames of Ragnaros drop from the old level 60 version (even though it says level 90 now) and is therefore using the data collected throughout the years. (You can check it out yourself by looking up the old Ragnaros) I've ran the new MC version exactly 10 times now, and every run at least 1 person received this item so far, sometimes even up to 5 persons, but generally around 2-3 people per run. I assume therefore that the actual drop-chance is probably at least 2.5%.

Edit: It's 2.1% according to WoWDB.

Upon an experiment, i decided to use this on a BoA weapon, to see if it would stay on the weapon upon mailing to an alt, the results were exactly as i had hoped. It does in-fact stay on your BoA weapons when you mail them to your characters. I hope this stays, and works with future items like this.

I'd like to share with you guys that if you use this illusion on Dreadlord's blade from the last boss of "The culling of stratholme" the flame becomes huge and it covers the whole thing making it spectacular! I started keeping track of how many of these dropped. Out of the eight raids I counted in, the flames dropped five times (always at most one per raid). Considering there are forty people in a raid, that's a drop rate of about 1.5%. Of course the sample size here is a bit small so this percentage might be off, and other people have reported slightly higher rates, but it does seem to be in the low single digits.

What is the actual drop rate? It is definitely higher than 0.03% but it is significantly less than the pet which seems to be around 10%.

My guess is 1%, but no higher than 3%.

That is an absurdly low drop rate for a one time event item that takes hours each run to try to get.

Been in about 23 runs now, no drop. Met two serial MC runners who got theirs at 52 and 46 runs. Gamble for this at your own risk :/

EDIT 1: On my 26th run, no drop yet. However, Landusk on the US servers got it today, after 92 runs. Take that however you will..

EDIT 2: 48 Raggy kills, 8 pets dropped, no enchant.

EDIT 3: Less than 23 hours till MC closes, apparently if you can't see it on the LFR screen its a bug (and Blizz is fixing it).
Also at 56th Raggy run now, 9 pets dropped, no enchant, and I'm going with Power Torrent instead. Lol.

EDIT 4: MC LFR will be available again starting today 6/1/2015 at 10 AM server time, until 13/1/2015, also 10 AM server time. Source - Ingame calendar.

EDIT 5: Sent in a ticket asking about the droprates and what I could do to get a Flames, this was the reply lol:

By the time I am writing to you I am happy to inform you tha the Anniversary event will last until the 13th of January.

However we cannot offer you this item under no circunstance and the only way to get it its through Molten Core so if you don't get it until next week you won't be able to get it and this is working as intended and in accordance with the probability of drops.

This dropped for me on my first run through, which sucks as my main is a hunter and I've found out it can't be used on a ranged weapon. Wish I could've traded it in for the battle pet. Two people in the group got the pet and one has been in MC many times for the Flames with no luck. Bet he would have traded me, lol. Oh well, such is luck.

One lucky thing, we must have had a decent group as our run took under 1hr 30 mins. Relatively quick from everything I've read.

Because the statistics tab counts my old rep runs in the total, im going to make an educated guess that I have done atleast 25 painful runs *each one a fresh run* with multiple wipes in every one. This is considerable time and ingame gold with such a paltry chance at being rewarded..

This should totally be BoA. Spent 4 hours in queue, then 3 hours inside the raid, and it dropped first time on my hunter. I will NOT be doing it again on any other toons, and it's such a shame to not let people use it on their alts, or mains... And they should let hunters put illusions on their weapons already.... This is driving me nuts. 70 runs already and still no chant. I got 4 pets but I don't care about the pet, all I want is the chant. Something unusual did happen on my 66th run. I saw 2 purple items drop from Ragnaros so I thought I had gotten the chant but 2 helms dropped instead.

I am so glad they increased the time for this event over xmas I had little time to play and still hadn't got the pet . So yesterday I spent 13hrs trying to get the pet and didn't even know about this enchant . Well after 11hrs I got my pet and it was 2hrs till shut down I tried for 1 more run and with 3min left we down RAG and it dropped for me . You can enchant heirloom weapons and send them to alts and it will still be enchanted with this effect. So for people like me, who got it on my Hunter, it's nice to know my alts will be able to enjoy this as they level up.

Originally, this re-usable, BoP cosmetic item was a possible drop when completing the WoW's 10th Anniversary version of 熔火之心 (MC). This version of MC existed as a level 100, 40-man, Looking For Raid (LFR) instance. As it was an Anniversary event, this version of MC is no longer available.

As the drop rate for this cosmetic item was far from 100% (reportedly around 3%), many players had to run this instance version multiple times to secure their item (some as many as 50+ times). Considering the nature of most LFR groups, and the length of the MC raid itself, having this item can be viewed as a great feat of strength in PATIENCE.

To those who ran this instance multiple times to no avail, please accept this 耐心勳章 and a lifetime supply of 巧克力餅乾s.

While this cosmetic item can no longer be obtained this way, there is an existing enchant that is visually similar: 附魔武器 - 戰歌印記. The only difference appears to be that this enchant does not display a particle trail upon movement like 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 does.

Update: 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 can now be obtained via the Black Market Auction House (not always for sale) and 燻木牧場特殊禮物 (once per YEAR per character).

A similarly-rare drop (reportedly around 10%) from this version of MC was 迷你憎光.
However, this pet, unlike the cosmetic 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰, can be placed on the Auction House. See the Undermine Journal website for pricing per realm.

Good news is at least that this shares the enchant graphics for 戰歌印記. I know you'd get stuck with a Haste enchant, but its not a completely worthless Haste enchant at least (+210 Haste given the math on the spell function).

The graphic is exactly the same thing as Flames of Ragnaros, so it is still possible for people to have it. Hope this is helpful. :)

You can use this on a heirloom weapon then send it to an alt and when they receive it the enchanted item will still have the enchant on it. So when you want to give this wonderful enchant to an alt, this is the way to do it.

Just got this from the Smokeywood Pastures Special Gift. I was doing the quest because I sold the Scroll of Storytelling I had last year before it became a toy and wanted to get that. Nothing on my main, first alt I tried and I got this. Thought it was a bug since I remember trying (and failing) to get this from the MC Anniversary event. Came here and was pleasantly surprised that it's not one-time use and will be added to the enchant ui for legion!

And there's another one for cold? Time to work on that, sucks you can only get 1 per char per year but at least there's hope for anyone else who missed it from MC :)

This enchant illusion is, in my opinion, very similar to Enchant Weapon - Mark of Bleeding Hollow. Sadly, this is currently not listed as an illusion available at the Encanter's Study, a small building at your garrison. As far as I can tell, the main difference is that the Flames leave a small trail of fire as you move while the Mark does not. This renders this vanity item not so unique as I had anticipated.

I just had a complete heart-attack moment where I thought I had wasted this.
As of the Legion pre-patch they are consumed when used, however, if you step over to your local transmogrifier, it will rest nicely along with the rest of your enchanting illusions.
I repeat, it will not disappear. It is with your transmogrifier.
I hope this helps someone in the same panicked frenzy I was in earlier. X)

Despite the tweet in 2015 stating this item will be moved to 失竊的禮物 in 2016, I obtained it this year (2016 event) from 燻木牧場特殊禮物, the same source as in 2015.

I can confirm this does drop from the stolen present. It definitely has a pretty low drop rate, as I've opened about 40 boxes over the past few days. On the plus side, this means people don't have to waste time making trial characters :)

Finally got it today. 48 MC Lfr runs, 13 toons every Xmas. Boosted a 100 and started a new DH. Got it on the last toon.
Macroed all abilities
/yell By Fire Be Purged Insect!

Pick a random realm, boost a 100 so you can make a DH. If neither gets it delete the DH and do the starter zone again. No cd no waiting on que. takes about an hour to burn through the zone. Anyone else who did the LFR grind and didn't get it this is a tickle by comparison.

I couldn't find the name of the Illusion in the appearance tab to know if I had it or not. There was nothing in reference to Flames or Ragnaros. Once I finally found the item on my 5th alt from 2015, I redeemed it and the Illusion finally appeared in the tab.

Absolutely 100% got this from a stolen present today. I had already completed the smokeywood gift quest days ago and could not have received it from anything other than stolen present so there is no confusion about it.

Just got my Flames of Ragnaros after around 150 boxes, mostly from the Stolen Present, but probably around 10% of those were from the Smokywood Pastures Special Gift. In the end, it DID come from the Stolen Present.

I was overjoyed to see that all that farming paid off, and now to put it on my artifact wea...

12/24/16 - 8:30pm - Christmas Eve. I just got my 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 from a 失竊的禮物 from the Christmas daily quest in Iron Forge. been doing it on 12 toons every day since the holiday started. Not up to doing the math right now, but you get the idea. So yeah, I can confirm that it does drop from the 失竊的禮物 so just keep at it. I have horrible RNG so if I can get it, so can you. Good luck!

Got mine after 56 combined openings of the Stolen Present and the once per year smokywood box. Mine ended up coming from a stolen present. I'd say from reading the comments the droprate from the Stolen Present is probably a lot higher than the .3% listed on the once per year box.

I just got my Flames of Ragnaros from a Stolen Present and complete more than 150 dailies and honestly is very disappoint, the glow effect is exactly the same of Mark of bleeding hollow precisely the same, i saw it on a video on youtube and thought that the glow was way more "Strong"

Still trying to complete your appearances with 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 or fill your toybox with 鳳梨懶骨頭坐墊 ?

This is how you farm 蠻荒禮物 and 失竊的禮物 efficiently on multiple toons. Characters must be level 100 or higher and have a level 3 garrison.

Park all of your eligible toons in their garrisons.

Make sure you're hearthed in either Ironforge if you're Alliance and Orgrimmar if you're Horde or in your faction's Shrine in Pandaria.

Start each day by picking up the 4 Winter Veil dailies in your garrison

from 皮佐 if you are Horde or 艾爾蜜 if you are Alliance

It's about a 5 minute flight to 壞心鬼 (Frostfire Ridge 45, 28) from the Alliance garrison. If it's your first time there make sure and pick up the Bloodmaul Slag Mines flight path at 51, 21 to make the later runs a bit less monotonous. For Horde it takes about a minute to fly there from your garrison.

Complete the 4 dailies.

It will usually take about 5 minutes to do all 4 quests, depending on the player traffic. *NOTE* - As of 5am maintenance on 12/19/2017 everything here scales with you so no one shotting the mobs any more, and the trash that dropped from them seems to either not drop for 110's or the rate is so low it doesn't even register.

Use your 達拉然爐石 . Take the Dalaran Crater portal (make sure you're prepared against the fall with 哥布林滑翔工具組 or any toy/buff/spell/etc that slows falling or negates damage).

Fly to Growless Cave (Hillsbrad Foothills 44, 39).

Pick up 那個卑鄙的傢伙... or 那個卑鄙的傢伙... from 奇怪的雪人

You don't need to even tag the Greench just hang around until he's dead then talk to 麋鹿梅特森 and grab a 被偷走的禮物

Use your 爐石 to return to either Org/ IF or your Shrine then portal to Org/ IF. Turn in 那個卑鄙的傢伙... or 那個卑鄙的傢伙... for a 失竊的禮物

Use your 要塞爐石 Turn in the 4 Winter Veil dailies to
伊茲‧荷莉菲索 for 5 歡樂補給品 which will buy you a 蠻荒禮物 from this same NPC.

Rinse and repeat on your alts. Takes under 15 minutes each if you don't have ADHD like me.

Still drops off 失竊的禮物 in 8.1, but it took me around 70 tries and I got all pets, toys and 幻象：冬之握 (two times actually) from the present before I got it.

If you really want this, you have to alt farm it, because the drop rate is low and the event only lasts about two weeks a year.

Look-wise it is the same as 幻象：血之谷印記, but when the weapon is moved the illusion turns into a tail. Good for weapons which don't show average illusions greatly.

For farming it, you would obviously want to use the old Dalaran portal in Legion Dalaran. Characters level 98+ can get the present.

As of 8.1, I think Blizz has "fixed" the trial class method but I'm not 100% sure if I was just unlucky. I ran it multiple times on class trial alts for both the daily and one time quest and only received white quality items. This year the reward box for the daily quest is not superior quality (when on a class trial alt). Running it on my 120's though I did finally get Flames of Ragnaros from the daily quest.

I hate this thing. I cleared the Molten Core event in WoD, but didn't see this. Subsequently, I just farmed it through the Christmas event on all of my eligible characters. I got Winter's Grasp back to back on the very first two, and then never got this. I miss it every Christmas, and it's painfully annoying that it's locked behind an annual event, and behind a massive wall of RNG.

It looks like I was very unlucky this year not getting this Illusion. The drop-chance is indeed very, very low and those who got it should consider themselves very lucky.

Here are some statistics of trying to get it in 9.1.5 Shadowlands:

In total I have opened 187 失竊的禮物s.

I have gotten every TOY and PET, WEAPONS and TRINKETS from previous years, and even got 幻象：冬之握 3 times (which is very odd because it's a lot lower drop chance than 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰.
The sad part is I will have to wait until next year to try again, or spend a hefty amount of gold on BMAH to get 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰.

Here is the route I took to do it so many times:
1st - Set your Hearthstone in the Aeire Peak - Hinterlands (for alliance) or Tarren Mill - Hillsbrad Foothills (for horde).
2nd - 1 day before the event start make sure that ALL your alts are stationed in your Tier 3 Garrison.
3rd - When the event begins, log your character, pick up the 4 quests in Garrison and take the flypath to Frostfire Ridge (if you have 偵察地圖：驚險德拉諾 it might help you to discover it)
4th - Do the quests in Frosfire Ridge and then use Hearthstone to teleport to Aerie Peak or Tarren Mill.
5th - Fly to the location of The Abominable Greench and pick up a 那個卑鄙的傢伙... from a Strange Snowman nearby The Abominable Greench. Kill it and complete the quest.
6th - Use 達拉然爐石, go through the portal in Stormwind, use the portal to Boralus, then use the portal to Ironforge and turn in your quest to get 失竊的禮物. For Horde just go to Orgrimmar and turn the quest in.
7th - Use 要塞爐石 and turn the remaining 4 quests. You can send 歡樂補給品 to one dedicated character across all realms.
8th - Rince and repeat the next day.

Holy crap. I just logged into a Mage I haven't touched in many years, only to find this item sitting in his bag. I must have looted it a long time ago and never even noticed. This comes a few weeks after getting Illusion: Winter's Grasp, so I'd consider that pretty lucky.

This illusion looks marginally better than Mark of the Shattered hand in terms of flame opacity and detail, but has inconsistent outcomes on different weapons due to the smaller size.

Hi guys,

So this is the first year I've attempted to actually farm the illusion. Here's how it went:

Started farming with 20 characters every day, since the first day, 3 Alliance, 17 Horde. Alliance characters had their Hearthstones set to Chillwind Camp, Western Plaguelands (found it faster than Aerie Peak, Hinterlands), While Horde characters had their Hearthstones set to Tarren Mill.

I've farmed the total of 100 tries (5 days in total, as I've collected everything in those 5 days) and the results are as follow:

Received a new toy - 節慶超時空鳥哨 on the very first try of the first day of farming.
Received a new drake manuscript - 高地飛龍：冬幕節護甲 on the 81st try.
Received the 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 on the 98th attempt.

While I had everything else from previous years, I've still collected every toy, pet and misc item while farming for the Illusion. I've yet to collect the Alliance version of Hearthstation toy, as I mainly play Horde, will update this post if it drops.

I have about 250 attempts this year (18 alts x 14 days so far) and haven't seen it drop. Loosing my sanity over here.

EDIT: Added 54 more attempts and no luck.
So this year i got 304 attempts and no illusion. But i got 20 Grunch pets :D

Only had three days to farm it these holidays. Last Character on the last day and it finally dropped!

Eyeballed it on the BMAH today on EU but it's already shot up to 700k so I'm very glad I don't have to join in on the bidding wars.

Droprate is super low, I'm at 100 Stolen Presents and is hasn't dropped yet while i almost got every other item twice. So buckle up ;)

To begin with: This post is not meant as a boast. I was inclined not to post it, but if I'm right, I could save some people a lot of headache.

I've received 2 幻象：拉格納羅斯之焰 and 2 幻象：冬之握 within the past 24 hours (after starting from 0 of each), having run the relevant quests on roughly 20 different characters (~7 of them were characters I ran yesterday). I got 1 of each within roughly 15 characters, and the last 2 characters I got each of the redundancies. I only started farming for these yesterday.

Out of the ~20 characters I ran these quests on, 4 of them were Class Trials (level 70-71). I ran Class Trials a total of 6 times in the past 24 hours. Each time, the reward was a Green-rarity 失竊的禮物 and a White-rarity of the other box.

However, on my normal, non-Trial characters, I always received a Blue-rarity 失竊的禮物, regardless of what level the character was. I received the Blue box on my level 70+ non-Trial characters and on my level 50+ non-Trial characters. (I was not offered the Daily Quest at all on my level 15 characters, so there's a minimum level to qualify for the Daily Quest -- I think I read that minimum is level 30?). None of the Illusions came from the Green boxes for me -- all of them came from the Blue 失竊的禮物 on my non-Trial characters.

This seems statistically significant to me. Sure, I could have gotten insanely lucky (understatement of the year). I do think luck had a lot to do with it. But I don't think it was ALL luck, is what I'm saying: 2 each of both illusions, when I had never farmed this before? In only 24 hours? That seems significant, so I wanted to share my experience, at risk of being downvoted to oblivion. My point is, I'm strongly inclined to believe that there is a higher chance at receiving either Illusion in the Blue-rarity 失竊的禮物 --which is ONLY offered to non-Class Trial characters-- compared to the Green-rarity box that is awarded to Class Trials. While people have said they have received the illusions from these Green boxes (which is great!), I'm afraid that if I'm correct, then that means the people farming on Class Trials are wasting their time when they could be far more efficient by using any level 30+ characters. I wanted to share my experience and my thoughts just in case it might save someone that headache.

(And if it really was just statistically-impossible blind, dumb luck, then... well... I guess I should really go buy a lottery ticket, then.)

it just dropped
farming with 11 chars

on day 10 on char 4 = 103 presents

so i can confirm it still drops in 2025

and thus i suppose the drake armor and pepe toy do too, but those havent dropped for me yet

First day farming this in 2025… and on my fifth character, the unthinkable happened. The screen flashed, the loot window opened, and for a moment I genuinely forgot how to breathe. I nearly launched myself out of my chair.

This grind felt longer than Invincible, longer than Ashes of Al’ar, longer than any rare I’ve ever chased — because you only get a tiny handful of days each year to even attempt it. Every run feels like throwing a wish into a volcano. 😮

And then it dropped.
On December 25th.

A gift straight from the Firelord himself. 🎄🔥
It didn’t just drop — it erupted into my bags like Ragnaros roaring “TOO SOON?”

Easily one of the most unforgettable loot moments I’ve ever had.
