In addition to being useful for a plethora of things, these are invaluable pots. Cheap to make, they can be used with little to no regret. Great in PvP, instances, and running away from stuff if you're a warrior.

Swiftness pots are also useful on Thaddius in naxx if some people in your guild have problems making the jump (surprisingly many do).
Main tank not making the jump from mini-boss platforms to thaddius = gg.
Hunters with aspect of the pack also work.

Used very much by rogues for the're Thistle Tea, but also usefull for PVP.
They can be found with other herbs around silverpine forest, tarren mill.

I have not found this potion for Speed I am a Mage level 31 with Alchemy 165 and Herbs in the high 180's. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I have done wrong?

Im a 27 blood elf paladin and SWIFTNESS POTIONS RULE. The recipe dropped off a lvl 12 mob in barrens. I made 27 of these one time and sold them for 15g. I currently have 52g just from selling swiftness potions. Whisper me if you want to buy some. Im on Executus (pvp).

These are fantastic for WSG - what more needs to be said? 30mins or less riding around lowbie areas and you'll have 20 or more pots.

I understand that you get this as an award from some quests. My question is obtaining the recipe for this. I am in alchemy and the recipe for these potions are never in AH. I have been told they drop of the barrens giraffe. (Horde) and that the drop rate is ungodly low. I know this because I camped it for 5 hours and nada. Can someone tell me if there is an easier way to obtain the recipe for this...

I would suggest that you would have better luck camping the AH, but bring about 20-30g with you, I was lucky and got it for 11g a few minutes ago
