Definately Get them off of Dark Fang Venomspitters. They are around the west side of the inlet of water allong the mountain range. Drop rate is far superior to the rest and much more abundant and easier to find. Just stick to the mountain side near the inlet of water. Start around 45,33 and head south along that hilly area staying at the top dont fall down near the waters edge. Took no more than 12 minutes.

The Darkfang Lurkers - stealthy spiders - drop the venom sacs, too.

評論來自 48199

the drop rate isnt terrible i kill like 15 spider to get the 6 venom sac

評論來自 46770

the drop rate wasnt that terrible, grind the darkfang lurkers on your way up to around 58.23 where you do hungry quest and then on your way back and you should have the 6 venom sacs

評論來自 47211

Giant Darkfang Spiders dropped 6 on the first 6 kills for me. Found them along the mountain range at around 48.44.

評論來自 Lorim

Did they change this in the newest patch? becuase my quest log definatly says "...darkmist spiders would do good. The spider have taken over an old mine, the Darkmist Cavern, northwest of the village. Get me some of their sacs and I can clean this up."

EDIT: They definatly changed the quest, the item no longer drops from the darkfang's they drop from Darkmist Reculse , Darkmist Silkspinner , and Darkmist Spider's . ALSO you only need 5 of the venom sac's not 6!

The Drop rate is ridicoulous.. ive been killing for 20 minutes and not one dropped yet..

34, 23

Read your quest log for the new changes. it took me about 20 kills to get the 5.

All the mobs at 34, 23 have a chance to drop it as of 2.3

Okay all you guys dont really know what your talking about, and i dont get this whole thing about doing it with the giant darkfangs, seriously just go to the cavern like the quest told you too and stop being stupid, its at 33,22; whoever is reading this for info disregard anything but my own comment. The drop rate is about 11 kills tops.

This quest's objective was moved to 34,24 , and drops from Darkmist Silkspinners.

I spent ages killing spiders around the mountains and no drops - you HAVE to go inside the cave, it's jus outside the village to the north west, so close it's hardly worth mounting up for!

評論來自 123068

Spiders are at 34,23

Bring your overnight bag, the drop rate for these is horrendously bad (at least for me)

The Shady Rest Inn quest chain can start either at the Inn itself, from the objects, or from Brackenwall Village (37.6,31.7), Dustwallow Marsh.
If the player chooses to start the quest chain in Brackenwall, Krog (36,31) will give the following quest:

Inspecting the Ruins

This quest completes at Inspector Tarem (29.6,47.5), located just outside of the inn, who will then use powder to help 'illuminate' the "clues." This basically causes purple arrows to appear, pointing at the individual quest objects strewn about the destroyed inn. Obtaining and completing this quest is not necessary, as the quest chains can be started directly from the objects regardless.

From the Shady Rest Inn (29.4,47.5), the quest branches into three paths, each starting when a different item gets looted.
The first quest for each chain will have you bring the three items to Krog in Brackenwall Village.

Loot the Black Shield (29.6,48.6):

Loot the Suspicious Hoofprints (29.7,47.7):

Suspicious Hoofprints

Loot the Theramore Guard Badge (29.8,48.2):

After completing all three quest chains, Krog will offer a fifth The Black Shield quest, asking players to bring the Blackened Iron Shield to Mosarn (55.6,79.6) in Thunder Bluff.

Mosarn will then volunteer new information regarding the "mystery" and starts the following short chain:

When these three quests have been completed, Krog will direct you to Tabetha (46.0,57.1) for further progression and conclusion:

The correct coordinates to get the drop is the darkmist cavern which is right nearby brackenwall village. I'm standing right at the entrance at the coords 33.27 22.72

The drop seems to be better inside the cave.

評論來自 142750

Although the drop rate is incredibly horrible, I was able to obtain all of the venom sacs without going inside the cave once. I would say it took about 25-30 kills to get all of them. Because they move around a lot, their chance of aggroing into a group of spiders is more than likely.

評論來自 Thottbot

Well, I got them by travelling around just East and South or Brackenwall.

In just under 80 kills of Darkfang spiders I got the 6 drops.

評論來自 Thottbot

Took me around 60 kills to get 3 of em.
Then I went further south and found some nice Giant Darkfang Spiders. Got the rest 3 drops of em in 4 kills.
I felt stupid.

評論來自 Thottbot

WTF, i've killed for like ages and they drop nothing but legs!

Iscandium is correct. Around 41,15 is a very good area. I got all 6 drops in less than 30 minutes.

評論來自 Thottbot

Good number of venomspitters and creepers around 48,60 - near the cottage

There is a bunch at 56.30 general area. Very low drop rate. For those without cosmos, there is a peninsula east of Brakenwall Village. Follow the road that runs in the middle of the peninsula. They'll be just south of Swamplight Manor, east of the road.

評論來自 Thottbot

I found many of these spiders at 49 60. The place was far into The Quagmire and abit into The Dragonmurk but was still considered to be a very safe area to get Acidic Venom Sacs.

When the pulls got slow I was able to keep myself busy with some of the monsters in the area, they were leveled 35-37.

評論來自 Thottbot

I have found those spiders at 55.24, also you can grab "Hungry!" quest and do it while doing this one.

評論來自 Thottbot

I just noticed after killing hundreds of darkfangs that the quest log says where to go. Theres a little cave just NW of Brackenwall at 32,23 (Darkmist Cavern) There are spiders there that drop it extremely often. Finished the quest in 10-15 mins tops.

評論來自 Thottbot

It's real easy. Go to darkmist cavern at 33,22 in dustw..
there youll get it in no time by killing the spiders

評論來自 Thottbot

For those of you taking up this quest after patch 2.3, be sure to read the quest carefully. The one posted here and the new one aren't the same. You gotta go NORTH WEST of Brackenwall Village to a little cave surrounded by Darkmist Silkspinners. Just a heads up

About 34,24. You can't miss it

評論來自 Thottbot

Do this quest with the one to collect unpopped eyes (Jarl needs eyes).
Got them to drop from the same spiders at the cave near 36,21 (ish)

評論來自 Thottbot

i found that when your up at Darkmist cavern getting eyes for the quest Jarl Needs Eyes any of those spiders drop the acidic venom sack the drop rate isent 100% but i got a few in no time. hope this helps

評論來自 Thottbot

What the hell! What it says on here about the quest information is completely and I mean COMPLETELY different from what it says in the quest log...

"hmmm, there's writing right here on the rim of the shield, but it's hard to read from all the burned stuff.

I need acid to make it clear. Venom from the darkmist spiders would do good. The spiders have taken over an old mine, the Darkmist Cavern, northwest of the village. Get me some of their sacs and I will clean this up."

Is what it actualy says. So to the person that added the quest text.. Might be an idea to read it before you type it and make sure that its the Horde quest you are posting if your Horde and alliance if you are alliance!

Anyways, off to kill some spiders. Coords for the cave are 33,22 using Koordinator.

So far, I've killed about 20 spiders and not one venom sack has dropped. Talk about a low drop rate... I've gotten more thick spider silk than quest items. They're realy milking these spiders.

Additionally, they're much tougher than other similar mobs - usually I can handle a couple at a time without too much trouble (as a druid), but these guys really tax my abilities.

These drop from the darkmist spiders now, so you can do this at the same time as Jarl Needs Eyes, up at the Darkmist Cave NW of Brackenwall village. Drop rate isn't amazing, but by the time I had all 20 spider eyes I only had one more venom sack to go, and that dropped within another three or so spiders.

MUCH easier.

I got 5 in a row from the level 39 Creepers just north of Lost Point in the Quagmire. There's level 38 venomspitters and level 38 creepers there too, but I only got 1 sac from the 5 or 6 level 38's I killed (the level 38 that dropped it was a spitter - I only got 1 level 38 creeper). So maybe the level has something to do with it?

There is a mountain range directly across the bay west of Theramore isle; that is on the western bank of the bay there is a mountain range. This range borders the water so dont fall in or it ca be a hassle. Thing is there is a rather high concentration of Giant Darkfang Spiders and these fellows drop the goo also, not to mention white spider meet and a number of silks.

Full Reethe Questline Info

It's a long story following Rethe's mystery on both alliance and horde side. I will tell the alliance side of things. I can also confirm it works in classic, you just need to get the required prequests. Questie will show the badge on the map, even if you didn't complete the prequests yet.

Alliance starts with 詹姆士·海爾 and the followup 詹姆士·海爾 OR 他們叫他微笑的吉姆 (you can do only one of the prerequisites)

Once you got these prerequisites you will be able to loot the 被燻黑的鐵盾牌 and 雷瑟的徽章 as well as inspect 蹄印 in the burned down Inn in Dustwallow Marsh at 29 47.

The badge is really small sitting on a plank in the middle of the inn, the shield hangs on the chimney, the hoofprints are in front of the house.

These items start 3 quest:

帕瓦爾·雷瑟上尉
黑色盾牌
可疑的蹄印

You are then send around 2 more times to other NPCs with the shield:

黑色盾牌
黑色盾牌

And the badge continues to the following questline:

帕瓦爾·雷瑟上尉
戴林的下屬
叛逃者
叛逃者

There is no follow-up to this quest, though you do get a bit more from the Horde's perspective if you come back and do their side of the chain. The conclusion to the mystery was not added into the game until Patch 2.3, thus we won't be seeing it in Classic. That patch addressed many of the abrupt endings to quest chains in Dustwallow Marsh.

On Horde side:

帕瓦爾·雷瑟上尉 from 塞拉摩衛兵徽章

可疑的蹄印 from 蹄印

黑色盾牌 from 黑色盾牌
黑色盾牌
黑色盾牌
黑色盾牌

盤問雷瑟

After handing in 雷瑟的徽章 you get an escort quest to help an ogre go talk to him.
However before you can get anything out of him some alliance show up and kill him for treason.
After all three of them has been completed horde gets a quest to go talk to the smith of the 被燻黑的鐵盾牌 in Thunderbluff.
Unfortunatly the smith cant possibly remember for whom he made the 被燻黑的鐵盾牌 so the quest ends there.

No question that this is just a long grind. I was killing the 40/41 spiders along the hilly coast across from Theramore and the drop rate was about 12-15%. The biggest problem was the stupid terrain; one wrong step and you'd fall into a hole or into the water, with no way to get back up the hills. Better to stay on the shore side of the hills and pull the spiders down if you can. They dropped a bunch of white spider meat and what I thought was a large number of greens (4 in about 54 kills). Found a rare level 41 flying serpent named Hayoc at 56.25, 66.93 and he dropped a green as well. Not all bad.

For SoD players: Since these comments are confusing with TBC vs. Vanilla and how the drop rate changed on these between then some of the comments are confusing. For those in SoD these dropped best off the Darkfang Spiders and Darkfang Lurkers in the north. Lurkers are stealthed. Here is your spam macro
