The second best Feral weapon in the game and holy crap it is nice. Looks f'ing awesome too. I probably don't even have to explane myself on this one.

A lot of Warriors take this too because it has awesome mitigation (I think that is the right word >.>). The +Def, Armour, and Stam make it better then the Naxx tank sword.

Whether a druid is allowed to take this instead of the healing staff is really up to the guild. A druid in my guild was raid specc'd but feral at heart, however was forced to take the healing staff.

On the other side of the coin a different druid on lothar got this hammer, and was one of the earlier people to complete the quest.

You can do the quests twice, so it is possible to get this and the healing staff, but you need two regalia.

Defense isn't so much a druid tanking stat and I would have liked more +armor, but it is still an incredible weapon for feral druids. It looks very similar to the sand polished hammer that drops off of Ossirian in aq20.

The 280 attack power translates into 20 dps.

You can still get a better mace from nax(if your guild does nax), but the way PTR/BC is looking druids get a nice buff with the scaling of AP/crit now. I would definetly get the mace, since you get just as good healing items still as a Mainhand(Widow's embrace, or Lok'amir possibly). Of course 1h/oh combos have almost always been better for regen and stats for healing.

Best weapon in the game for pure feral dps or for general tanking. In mitigation-heavy fights, you'll want to bring your warden staff out of retirement but for most situations the tremendous boost in aggro is worth sacrificing the armor. It doesn't have the hybrid stats of the End of Dreams and is thus not quite as good for PvP, but when you convert the strength on this to attack power, it has more AP than End of Dreams. Enchant this with 15 strength.

This is by far one of the best items for a feral druid in the game. It is quite obvious with the attack power increase in all forms. Any feral druid should get this mace, I have it and it's definitely a huge plus for pvp and even pve.

This is such a nice mace, i am a druid and would love it. but seeing as how it's a quest reward i would not begrudge the warrior/rogue/pally walking around with this. for its stats its one of the easier weapons to get. although i believe their are similiar quests for the other classes which are more suitable :)

This thing is hawt for tanking.

Thunderfury is better for holding aggro, but this thing is by far the best overall damage mitigation weapon. Str, stam, def and even a bit of armor. Thats pretty damn good. Although, admitted, it would be a bit strange to have that druid "equip" thing sitting around on your weapon.

But seriously... look at the two staffs. The only people who should ever get this weapon are the feral druids who are really serious about their path. If their guilds let them go all out feral (spec, gear and let them play that way during raids), this it the weapon for them, and they should have it. 280 atk power is +20 dps, that is a frigging lot of damage, and passive even, no procs, its always there.

A couple of people have asked the question about why tanks may or may not prefer this to the Thunderfury. The answer is quite simple: This is a defensive tank's weapon, the Thunderfury is offensive.

The Thunderfury has amazing threat generation due to the proc, and the flat DPS, but it only has about .5% dodge and ~20 armor by way of mitigation. This means that the damage dealers can do higher DPS without worrying about agro as much, shortening the battles.

Meanwhile, this has a significantly lower 'basic' threat generation to the Thunderfury, but much better mitigation stats. Therefore, while the fight might take a little longer, it will be less intense for your healers.

In reality, the two are quite equal I feel - it ultimately comes down to the encounter, and your raid, as to which you will use. Assuming your one of the few lucky bastards who gets both.

I'm a feral druid, and want it badly, but one question I have is how good that is for a protection warrior? Decent speed, high DPS, +defense and armor. Doesn't seem too bad, but maybe there is better stuff in AQ.

If you really want badly that weapon, you can cheat your guild, that you will pick healer's staff...and then pick that hammer and or /gkick or /gquit or somehow they will forgive you.

There is always a way to obtain demanded items :).

Last I heard, the AP on this mace worked for rogues and warriors. It just looks for an energy or rage bar for the AP to kick in. Obviously a bug, and it may have already been fixed. But with this bug it is hands downt he best dps mace for rogues and warriors.

Hi im a 60 warrior and i think this would be the best tankin weapon in the game (no1 say its too slow
because its .1 slower than QS which i would barely noticed any way, its fast enough to generate agro) but i would still say that it is mainly a druid weapon due to the fact that it gives them +280 attack power in all their forms but if you took that away a druid should not even think about getting it

I consider myself lucky to be in a guild that isnt lead by loot!@#$%s. I am full feral and I am allowed to use my dkp on whatever I wish to use it on, to top it off I am usually top 5 dps if I am in cat form not to mention the dps increase the rogues/hunters in my group get and I can still buff/battlerez/heal when needed. And we got all of BWL on farm status. So yea there are feral druids in guilds that know what they are doing and I have zero doubt that I will get this mace once the regalia drops cuz I am using every dkp I have on it and I doubt anyone else is willing to spend this much on it.
If you spend the time to earn dkp you already earnd the right to use it on whatever you like, guilds that tell people what to use their time on will be raiding aq with the leaders alone sooner or later.
