Some guy said these dropped off Magmadar...bloodfang is tier 2 epic set, and the only bosses outside blackwing lair who drop tier 2 epics is Onyxia & Raganaros. Onyxia drops tier 2 heads, ragnaros drops tier 2 legs, including bloodfang. Me and my guild (Maelstrom, on Draenor EU) took out Magmadar and he drops tier 1 legs (Nightslayer for rogue). So have fun drooling nubs :)

After comparing the stats of both BF and NS. BF imo better.

These are all the set pieces stats put together.

NS :

reduces the cooldown of vanish by 30sec
increases energy by 10
heals for 500 when vanish

BF: [hit + 3}

immune to disarm
+ 5 apply poison
improves threat reduction of feint by 25%
chance to inflict 283 to 317 dmg and heal 50 health every 1 sec for 6 sec. On a melee hit

This should make it easier for you guys to compare.

Guys guys ...the man that said those dropped of madmadar is right ...but that is long ago~~~ In begining of World of warcraft there was no Blackwing lair so all tier 1 and tier 2 dropped in molten core but then blizzard decided to make bwl and long long time ago removed tier 2 drops from molten core .. . .

Not so... if you'd direct your eyes to the bottom of the item link you'll see those magical little words: "Item Level 76"

Item level 70 means that it's on par with a 70 green. Item level 76 means it's on par with 70 blues. I got the assassination chest, i got the chestguard of the darkstalker and the wastewalker chest. bloodfang is still as good as or better statistically than any of them.

The new graphics aren't to be implemented yet, unless you use a private server you can't view the new "black glow" graphics.
Until then, you Public server users (no offence) have to wait a patch or two to get the graphics on.

But I have to say that ne new bloodfang armor is one of the best .. maybe the best desinged set inGame! The shoulders with this smoking effect . great! Would like to see how this one looks in the game. I am not sure if blizzard would introduce this smoking effect inGame!

The 1.9 patch with the graphics finally in actual use should be active by the second week of January.

This graphic has not changed as of last patch (1.6) and will probably not be changed in 1.7 either. The images are in the data files, but no one knows what they are.

Earlier today Ragnaros finally fell. He dropped two tier 2 leggings(along with some other stuff) so Bloodfang Pants drop from Ragnaros.

Actually, this is a ragnaros drop, always has been. Just no one was able to kill him before they nerfed Ragnaros 30% of his HP :P
The Bloodfang BP has never dropped to my knowledge. Probably one of the items they left specifically for Nefarius to drop.

Anyone ever noticed that this BF pic´s just a fake?
Players on my server are wearing the head and leg piece and neither looks like this "awesome" armor set on this pic everyone´s drooling over.
Its looks like the "pre" 1.6 version

Tigole has posted in a blue post on the USA forum, that the new graphic's will be implanted in version 1.9.0. He also told that this version will include other tier2 graphic updates and the new 40-man instance Atal'ICantSpellToIt will be launched.

At last he also told that this update won't come right away, since it will be one of the biggest updates so far.
