it shouldnt be easy to get what some people worked weeks for.. 45 hours is fine for full set. its not like you have to farm it to be able to play
I hope the boost the honor gains to 300% :D
These retail players keep crying and crying after all the honor updates. This is CLASSIC, enjoy the grind or go back to retail.
Who cares for lvl 60 but for 70 the barrier to entry for PvP should be as low as humanly possible so it’s easier for people to *try* PvP if they’d like to. Any new players welcome. Climbing a wall just to be thrown in with the sharks and having to learn PvP is tough. Hopefully at 70 it’s not as bad. Side note, I really wish wsg had a timer in tbc lol
It isn't required gear. If you want it, farm it. If it takes too long, then don't.
theres only like 3 endgames in classic...what else are you going to do? seems fine.
The grind is better than it was before the changes. They should have ALSO reduced the cost only because they said they were going to do so. If the PvP grind is too much then TBC might not be the version for them to play
Alot of us Retail players don't have time to grind hours and hours for gear like Classic players enjoy, Blizzard please reduce the cost of the PVP gear, a few hundred honor per item is MORE than enough. We don't have the time to waste in battlegrounds all day, we have wives, kids and families now. If you can't reduce the honor, the least you could do is mail everyone who bought your boost to support the development of the game the full PVP set, it's not fair that classic players have such a big advantage right now. Thanks!
One epic per bg seems like a resonable reward rate. It will be more like retail/lfr where just showing up = bash loot piñata.
Pretty sure it would take you more than 45 hours of raiding to get equivalent gear when factoring in RNG and competition for items. But I could be wrong. Not to discount your experience/time spent. Just pointing out 45 hours for 8 primary slots sounds reasonable from a PvE perspective. And in PVE, you'd have to do it over the course of weeks thanks to lockouts.
Based on my sample of about 50 AVs while not actively engaging in pvp (rushing objectives not going for HKs) and a 46% win rate, it would take about 215 AVs to get the honour for the set and 2 weapons sets (I'm thinking for paladins might want a ret weapon along with prot/holy weapons). This doesn't count for any WSGs or ABs required for their marks so might have a different result if those are included. So at 12mins per AV, that would be 43 hours. (36hrs for 10mins and 54hrs for 15mins to give you a range)
I think it is absurd that people don't want to earn ANYTHING. If there is no effort AT ALL to acquire stuff then why play the game? Go do something else with your time. The gearing and mount collecting and pet collecting etc IS THE GAME
Honor costs are fine.Honor rates are fine.Give people the old BG Mark turn-in quests where you can turn in three from a Battleground for honor, similar to the current one for one of each BG Mark.
This isn’t raiding gear or endgame gear though. This is basically leveling gear. Grats to the people who farmed rank 14 and got the gear. You got to raid bwl, aq, and Naxx with awesome gear. That time is over, now reduce the cost. It’s not just great for people with limited time, but also people who had lots of alts
This is classic not retail. if it is to hard go play retail. we play classic to get the nostalgic feeling of how it was 9 years ago when we were younger. 45h is to easy it should be harder. if this is the mentality of blizzard when swapping from classic to tbc classic, then classic is doomed. you make a hard game turn into a easy game. it is like if you nerfed dark souls into bits. those who wish to whine about it. then just go play retail. retail is trash, why make classic trash too?
If you play premade ABs and WSGs then turn in marks ...its not slow AT ALL.
most of this gear really only just serves to get you kickstarted for endgame content or to jump into tbc leveling now. and really, you do not need every single item, it's decent catch-up but honestly literally just grab a weapon and you're more than fine, people overvalue the need for this gear and create FOMO for themselves
