It is absolutely hilarious that they could have done this from the start, and just prevented addons from communicating with each other, and they would have achieved all their goals.. but instead they decided to kill WeakAuras and remove healers' ability to decide which buffs they want to see on their frames. For what?Also, for the love of god please make Private Auras click through on raid frames...

disclaimer: im not a title pusher and ive never gotten ce or hof, but i do push 15s - 18s as a brew monk and my guild does get aotc with some myth kills each tier. and im not mr. doom and gloom. i think everything will be fine and obviously im still gonna play because i love this game.having said that, so long as addons exist, people are going to feel the need to download them. plain and simple. and this middle ground that blizz created is beyond annoying. its the worst of both worlds: people have to find more new addons to be able to customize their ui or fill in important gaps that blizz missed, and then people have to figure out which existing addons are still functional and to what extent. for me, ill be going from 4 addons to 8-12, which is mind blowing to me mostly because ill be getting less customizability and functionality than i do now.either ban all addons or don't ban any. blizz has no excuse for not iterating on the default ui for any period of time over the last 20 years.

It would make more sense for Midnight-era private auras to be restricted from filtering/sorting. Having a "debuff frame" in the middle of your screen that would only show standing-in-fire type debuffs doesn't vibe with their planned addon restrictions, and seems like something that would be easily possible with unrestricted aura filtering.
Everything they've done was worth it to kill Weak Auras, even if Weak Auras remains conceptually possible in Midnight. Thank you Ion "Gigachad" Hazzikostas, love you fella
I love GTFO. Its too difficult to see through all the aoe and know which is good and which is bad--- especially when already taking damage. And I don't want to turn off other peoples effects on the ground, since moving mobs out of their aoe is bad too. >_<
so after months of all the hubbub, blizzard has really only made private auras a bit more annoying? Every WA pack is just turning into a stand alone addon now. So now instead of having like 4 addons + weak auras, we will have 10 addons to make up for the customization/functionality we lost with weak auras? great job blizzard. magnificent "leveling of the playing field" lmao. They really just dont know how to go about this at all
