Trial and Error (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10566) follows this quest. After turning it in you have to watch them do stuff for a moment.

When i charged the crystal, the quest log didnt show the quest as complete or the crystal as charged. Ignore that and go turn the quest. The mob will accept it.

I filled 9 bars of double XP killing the birds that drop teh crystal for this quest.

first time kill and i done it but you have to know that ..

the quest complete didn't showed on the screen so just check it maby you finished it and you didn't know that :)

sooo easy the crystal drop from the mops nearby from the circle ...... then take the crystal to the circle and click on it on your bag and thats it.....^^

Hahaha wow. I went to the big purple circle where the coords said to go. Killed the mob closest to it. Got the crystal first drop went to my backpack and used it. It charged. and i went and turned it in.

After retrieving "The Stones of Vekh'nir" quest from Dertrok in Mok'Nathal Village, head towards the "hut"
icons south of the word "Vekhaar Stand" on the mini map. There will be a small village inhabited by the bright colored bird creatures (the ones that walk with a limp). Kill however many you need to (took me 6 or 7 with my enh shaman) and then eventually one of the creatures will drop a "Vekh'nir Crystal". After you loot the crystal, run to the center of that village and you'll find a purple circle thing (located @ 77.8 & 74.6 coordinates) - stand near it (you might have to clear the surrounding area of mobs) and right click the crystal to "imbue the crystal" or charge it. Done. Go turn the quest in

This quest bugged on me and the stone would not drop off the mobs. I simply abandoned and re-accepted the quest and got it on my next kill.

The Stones of Vekh'nir

Collect and use a Vekh'nir Crystal at the Vekh'nir Spell Circle to create a Charged Vekh'nir Crystal.

Description

The arakkoa of Vekh'nir have been a thorn in our sides for many years. Some strange religion guides them, a religion which has the arakkoa in a frenzy of activity. They carry these crystals with them now, which they have turned to some dark purpose.

I know something of their rituals. They take the crystals to their spell circles to infuse them. We at the village would like to know more. Waylay a few of the arakkoa until you find a crystal, charge it, then return it to me.
