Get the quest from Digger Golad in Stormwind (North, /way 54.41 18.11 Golad). You need exalted reputation with Ironforge and a dwarf at level 120.

Keep Yer Feet On The Ground - travel to Dun Morogh (flight path Gol'Bolar from Stormwind took ca. 4 min, you can also take the Deeprun Tram), go to the end of the cave and kill Maw'roc the Thief
Something Valuable, Perhaps? - leave cave, travel to Ironforge, meet Brann Bronzebeard
Ancient Armor, Ancient Mystery - visit Advisor Belgrum: /way Ironforge 44.51 49.42 turn left, go downstairs
Watch Yer Back - kill troggs
Aegrim's Study - follow Advisor Belgrum
Shards of the Past - collect Fragments of Shattered Armors. Golems will attack you. Return to Brann
Interest Yah In A Pint? - meet Grumnus Steelshaper in Loch Modan
Recruiting the Furnace Master - travel to Ulduar (Northrend-The Storm Peaks, engineers can use their Wormhole Generator: Northrend), you'll enter a phased version of it
- follow the way, turn left, kill elementals and help Ignis to defeat Magmarion of the Furnace
- return to Loch Modan: follow Brann to the entrance of Ulduar and take his flight machine
Earthen Blessing - fly back to Ironforge and enter Old Ironforge again: /way Ironforge 44.51 49.42 turn left, go downstairs
- collect Remnant of the Earthen Ritual (near Advisor Belgrum), leave Old Ironforge and turn in at Bouldercrag the Rockshaper
Forging the Armor - stay inside of the circle on the ground and click the extra button Empowered Stoneform. Carry Ancient Metal from the ground to the new circle on the ground near the forge. Carry Molten Metal to the anvil. Click extra button Forge!. Pick up the item and bring it to Grumnus Steelshaper
Legacy of the Bronzebeard - speak to Muradin Bronzebeard and get your Heritage of the Bronzebeard -> Bronzebeard (Dwarf) Heritage Armor

Questline took ca. 40 min, depends on your travel options

The Dwarf Heritage Armor questline is one of the best questlines in BFA. If you want know what it was like to be a dwarf in Classic Wow, do this questline!

I can confirm, This quest does appear to a Boosted character, IF it was boosted before the quests release or before BFA

I was able to start this quest as a level 51 DK. I was max level in BFA, just haven't bothered leveling in SL yet, so your mileage may vary with a fresh dwarf.

Note that if you have already completed this questline on one of your alts there is little point doing it again on your other as all dwarves will have access to the armour.

Take portal to Boralus, there's a portal to Ironforge there.

This quest just popped when logging one of my Dwarf alts for the first time this patch, despite the particular character is only Revered with Ironforge.
It should be noted that I already have done this quest on my other Dwarf back in 10.0, and then it popped at Exalted with Ironforge.

Edit: seems like this is in line with the quest changes of 10.1:

Heritage armor quests for non-Allied Races no longer requires Exalted reputation with their home factions.

At level 56 and only friendly with Ironforge, Digger Golad was not present at the embassy. When I returned after reaching level 60 and still merely friendly with Ironforge, he was present and offered this quest. Has the level requirement been bumbed to 60?

So I tried logging on my dwarf shaman that I haven't played since SL (leveled not boosted or race changed). Digger Golad was not present. I got no answers from Blizzard or anywhere else. I thought I'd either have to level a new dwarf or try getting exalted with IF. Then I made a new dwarf with class trial checked and he was there with the quest. I don't know if it's a pre-BFA flag on your character or what. But making a class trial and doing it will unlock the armor across your account. It is also safe to delete the trial after. I recommend a mage as you have to teleport to Dalaran and IF a lot.

Heritage armor:
With The War Within, you can level up as you want, including using a character boost or a race-change and gain the achievement (like Heritage of the Lightforged). Once earned, you can use this transmog on every alt of that race. Some races get more than one set.
Older/main races may complete a quest chain to get their heritage armor (currently level 50+ and possibly additional requirements, depending on their race).

In case it doesn't pop up on log in, try to visit the Embassy to find the quest giver (Stormwind / Orgrimmar). A relog might also be helpful if you've just leveled up.
Some races need a teleporter near the Embassy to turn in their quests. /way Stormwind 54.4 15.4 Embassy SW /way Orgrimmar 40 76 Embassy OG

Draenei (non-lightforged) 1: Draenei Heritage Armor (purple) - pick up Magically-Sealed Parcel in Stormwind to start An Artificer's Appeal /way #84 53.2 15.7 Parcel

Interestingly you can trigger a completion of the "Find the Missing Excavators" portion of this quest by going right to the depths of OId Ironforge and approaching the north west door.

It is absolutely pointless to do this as you still need to go to Gol'bolar Quarry to carry on but interesting nonetheless.

I transferred fully leveled dwarf timerunner to retail, and this quest was offered to me by Aysa Cloudsinger, not Digger Golad. Couldn't even find him around, so that's worth of noting it here.
