This is not a "push quest" (edit to correct: in some sense it is, but it didn't make a big noise and slam me with it). Its marker appears on the Stormwind map for qualified PCs.

Shaw is literally behind the keep, outdoors at approximately the same level as the throne room on a wooden catwalk.

This begins the human heritage armor questline, which will take you to Elwynn Forest (Goldshire), Duskwood, Burning Steppes, Westfall, and Elwynn (Northshire Abbey).

Just to add that if you don't get given the quest automatically the first time you log in, I would relog your character as this gave me the quest the second time around :)

To pop this quest you need: Human lvl 50+ Exalted with Stormwind Reputation.
A Easy way to get exalted is buying Stormwind Tabard and spamming the Dungeon The Botanica located in Outland Burning Crusade.
You will spend around 30 minutes to get Exalted.

After get Stormwind Exalted with Human lvl 50+ go to Stormwind and /reload

You will not see both this one and An Urgent Matter. In this one, someone slips it to you and rogue-vanishes when you're distracted with reading it.

Matthias is to be met at a catwalk that runs along the backside of the throne room's building area, outdoors.

The next quest in line will be An Unlikely Informant.

If you abandoned the pop-up quest, you won't get it from Mathias. You will get it from Agent Render near the tree in Stormwind Embassy.

I reached Exalted with Stormwind, went to Stormwind City, hit /reload, and Agent Render appeared near the embassy with An Urgent Matter.

This is the questline for the Human Heritage armor.
For this questline you must have a human at level 50+ who is exalted with Stormwind.
The first quest popped up after login (but just in the quest tracker, no quest window) and wants us to meet Master Mathias Shaw in Stormwind. If you didn't get the quest, try to find it at the Stormwind Embassy in the northwest.

An Urgent Matter - meet Master Mathias Shaw behind the castle in Stormwind
An Unlikely Informant - meet him again in the basement of the inn in Goldshire, Elwynn Forest
A Window to the Past - talk to him (cinematic)
Rotten Old Memories - travel to Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes and talk to Ragged John. Find 4 pieces of journals at /way 62.26 63.95 Cave entrance
Looking for Something Specific - return to Goldshire
The New Clessington Estate - travel to the west of Duskwood /way 10.03 55.43 entrance, upstairs and talk to Cecilia Clessington. Leave the building and talk to her
Misdeeds in Moonbrook - travel to Westfall
A Hungry Heritage - enter /way 42.52 71.58 and go to the marked area. Open your big map to make it easier
Supply Only the Finest Goons- kill 16 enemies
Betrayal of the Brotherhood - escape from the underground (north). Use extra button VanCleef's Elixir of Speed to make it faster
To Northshire - travel to Northshire (in the north of Goldshire)
Knock It Off! - kill and loot the 4 marked enemies
What's Their Problem? - kill enemies to fill the bar
The Clessington Will - enter the Abbey and click the barrier. Click extra button Will to Survive, kill the enemies and defeat Count Clessington
Will to Survive - pick up Drakefire Amulet and give it to Master Mathias Shaw. Click extra button Will to Survive. Kill Shade of Onyxia
Go with Honor, Friend - return to Stormwind at the main entrance. Talk to Master Mathias Shaw and go to General Hammond Clay. Click extra button Honor of the Lionguard while standing in the light
- turn in, get your Lion's Heritage and the title

Questline took about 25 minutes with level 61, incl. cinematics and flights.

I got this quest eventhough im not exalted no idea how...

So this quest won't trigger on my character no matter what I do or try. Blizzard support seems completely unable to help.

I was exalted with SW already, and when I hit 50 I did not receive the quest nor the letter in my inventory. I have checked for Agent Render, and he is not spawned at the embassy. I have looked behind SW keep, there is nothing there. I have tried multiple ways to reset the SW phase to no avail. Turalyon is sitting on the throne currently (I had to do a few different quests to get it to reset).

Can anyone please help me? This is such an annoying issue and nobody seems to have any idea how to fix it.

This quest popped up for me doing a human class trial immediately after logging in.

I got this quest when I hit lvl 50 and relogged, even though I only had Revered with Stormwind.

The three mog sets reward from this questline are listed in your Appearances tab as Lion's Heritage (not Lionguard). Once you've completed the questline on one toon, there's nothing to be gained by doing it on any other toons.
