Use Geyser and Tail Slap till Gusteau gets swapped out on the Geyser hit.

Swap to Emerald Turtle and go Shell Shield, Head Butt, and Emerald Bite till Remy is dead.

Head Butt Gusteau when it returns.

Use the last bit of Emerald Turtle on Dinner and swap in Spiny Terrafin. Keep Shell Shield up and use Head Butt and Bite to get it down.

The following worked for me for The Lil' Necromancer.:

Pets:

Lil' K.T. (H/P): 2/1/1
Fossilized Hatchling (P/S): 1/1/2
Scourged Whelpling (H/H): 2/1/1

I started off with Lil' K.T. and used Siphon Life, followed by Frost Nova and Howling blast. Continue using the two frost abilities as priority, and siphon life as filler, until he's dead. My Lil' K.T. died almost directly after I killed Gusteau.
I then swapped to Fossilized Hatchling and used Claw, and Ancient Blessing on cooldown/when needed. This easily killed Remy and did a fair amount of damage to Dinner before my Fossilized Hatchling died too.
I then swapped to Scourged Whelpling and finished Dinner off with Tail Sweep.

There's probably a more reliable/quicker way to do this, but the above did the job for me. Good luck!

I was able to 2-pet this fight with the Blossoming Ancient (2,2,2) (Broot might work as well cuz it has the same moves but I don't have one to try), the Amber Moth (2,1,2) and a leveling pet with at least 700-800 health (enough to take a hit and dot tick from Dinner).

Start with the Blossoming Ancient. Use Sunlight to keep up the Sunny Day weather and maintain Photosynthesis buff while hitting with Ironbark. If Gusteau stuns the Ancient just pass and maintain the rotation.

When Remy comes in I keep the Ancient in and repeat the same process. He shouldn't do enough damage to knock the Ancient out as long as you keep healing with Photosynthesis and Sunlight.

Dinner comes in and his first turn is Bubble so this is the time to swap to your level pet, use a simple ability that won't carry over and swap into the Moth. Have your moth use Moth Dust and Alpha Strike and he should make quick work of Dinner.

I'm not sure what the trigger is - or if they've hotfixed, but Varenne was not allowing a pet battle on my alt, whereas he's been able to fight a tamer multiple times in the past, without world quests unlocked.

Here is my team I used for Best of the Beasts.
I was able to win this twice in a row with the same team, but it has a small amount of RNG at the end with Dinner (frog).

1. Jungle Grub (1/1/2)
2. Xu-Fu (1/2/2)
3. Arctic Fox Kit (2/2/2)

Against Gusteau
1. Burrow - Your grub should be slower than Gusteau, and he uses Heating Up first round. This is to avoid Frying Pan.
2. Acidic Goo
3. Spam Chomp until Gusteau dies the first time. He will rez because he's a mechanical, then kill your grub.
4. Bring out Xu-Fu, and use Moonfire. This will kill Gusteau.

Against Remy
1. Prowl
2. Spirit Claws - this should one shot Remy non-crit. Xu-Fu should be low health.

Against Dinner
1. Use Spirit Claws twice to use up Dinner's bubble. Xu-Fu should die here.
2. Bring out Arctic Fox Kit. This is where you can get some RNG with Frog Kiss.
3. Use Dazzling Dance.
4. Howl
5. Spam Flurry until Dinner dies. Your Fox Kit should be low health, but survive.

*I believe Mr. Grubbs would be an acceptable substitute for caged pets, but I have not tried it. I haven't found a substitute for Xu-Fu, and any fox with the same abilities should work, though I think higher power foxes will perform better with Dazzling Dance. I'll update when I find a better pet than the fox.

Fel Flame

Burn / Scorched Earth / Conflagrate

Direhorn Runt

Trihorn Charge / Horn Attack / Primal Cry

Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji

Alpha Strike / Tranquility / Ethereal

Burn and conflagrate until Fel dies, Direhorn charge to finish off first pet.

Primal cry, horn attack, charge until second pet is dead, charge / horn attack to eat the bubble on the third pet until Direhorn dies (can also eat a kiss from the frog).

Then Chi-Chi can alpha strike the third pet to death.

I had good RNG with the kisses. Chi-Chi may need to use Tranquility if you have poor RNG.

Guesteau - Mechanical

For Roboteer:

Blackfuse Bombling (1,2,2) Flame Jet, Burn until Gusteau dies. Armageddon against Remy when your health is low.
Cogblade Raptor (1,1,1) Bite Remy until he dies. Against Dinner: Bite, Overtune, Overtune, Exposed Wounds, Bite until one of you is dead. (If Dinner gets off a stun from Frog Kiss, it'll be you; if not, it'll probably be him.
Ancient Nest Guardian (1,2,1) Entangling Roots, Feathered Frenzy, Metal Fist as needed.

This strategy is as subject to RNG as anything against Frog Kiss spam is, but it worked for me.

This is the Roboteer team I used:

Iron Starlette - 1, 1, 1
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling - 1, 2, 2
Sunreaver Micro-Sentry (I didn't use it and you could probably sub for any other mech pet) - 1, 1, 1

Iron Starlette went up against Gusteau and I managed to one shot it with Wind-Up, Supercharge, Wind-Up. I used Powerball to finish it off after it revived and then continued to use Powerball against Remy before Iron died.

MPD came out next and I used Decoy and Breath until Remy died (though I did get lucky with a Breath crit so your mileage may vary).

For Dinner, I used Thunderbolt and Breath until Decoy came back up and MPD barely survived through that.

Easily taken down for Dragons! with Celestial Dragon (1,1,2), Lil' Tarecgosa (2,2,2), and Infinite Whelpling (1,1,1).

All three use their first ability. I had tarecgosa use Wild Magic occasionally but it didn't seem necessary. All three were down before Infinite Whelpling took more than a few hundred damage.

~~Since nobody has posted one yet~~edit: beaten to it by 4 minutes!, here is my strategy for Dragons! Worked first try, but it should be solid enough to hold up.

Blue Dragonhawk Hatchling (1, 2, 2)
Phoenix Hawk Hatchling (1, 1, 2)
Nether Faerie Dragon (2, 2, 1)

Open up with the Blue hawk. Flamethrower him first then conflagrate and just use those two as they come off CD. Gusteau will get very low; I got stunned, if you don't you can probably finish him off with this pet, then claw Remy. If not, Claw with the Phoenix Hawk Hatchling. Switch to phoenix hawk when Blue dies.

Rake and claw Remy to death, use liftoff if he is going to survival. You could try saving it for Dinner, but if you don't have enough HP to survive remy's dot and swarm of flies, don't bother. When Dinner comes out, claw twice to get rid of bubble. Try to lift-off if you can. Switch to the Nether Faerie and finish him off with moonfire and arcane blast spam.

Aquatic Acquiescence vs Varenne: Note that this fight is a bit RNG heavy, due to the stuns and polymorph.

- Puddle Terror (1/1/1)
- Any strider with Cleansing Rain and Pump
- Any penguin with peck

To start, use Nature's Ward to protect yourself from mechanical attacks and heal. Use solar beam to boost your healing, then keep attacking. Make sure to keep Nature's Ward up. You should be able to take the first pet down with some decent health on you.

Against the rat, keep attacking as much as you can (don't bother refreshing NW). When your strider comes in, use Cleansing Rain, then Pump four times. It should be enough to kill it without triggering survival.

You should be able to take a few more shots at the frog. When your strider dies, bring in your penguin and peck it to death!

Tidal wave until backrow is dead.
Tentacle slap.
Squeeze after rebirth.

For Aquatic Acquiescence I was able to solo the whole team with an H/H Emperor Crab using move set 1(Snap)/1(Renewing Mists)/1(Shell Shield). My pet had about 600 health at the end of the battle.

For move priority I kept up Shell Shield, followed by Renewing Mists and filled with Snap. I was not hit with the frog kiss.

Varenne is a Master Pet Tamer in Suramar- take the Twilight Vineyards port (from Shal'aran, near the Meredil flight path) to reach him. He's only available to fight when his world quest, Chopped, is up. You won't see Varenne's world quest until you've progressed to the Twilight Vineyard area in your Suramar questing. His pets are Gusteau, Remy and Dinner (a nice Ratatouille reference). Watch out for moths and guards, they'll patrol right into you.

Pets
To boost a level 1 pet on this fight, I used a Soul of the Forge (Deep Burn/Stoneskin/Flamethrower) and Jade Crane Chick (Thrash/Jadeskin/Flock). Bad luck on Frying Pan and Frog Kiss can ruin your day, but that's true with any two pet team for this guy.

Strategy
Start with Soul of the Forge. Use Stoneskin, then Flamethrower, then Deep Burn x2. Continue the pattern of maintaining your Stoneskin buff and Flamethrower/Burn Burn to melt through Gusteau and as much of Remy as you can. When Soul of the Forge dies, bring out your leveler and swap right away to Jade Crane Chick. Use Jadeskin, then Thrash to finish off Remy if needed. Against Dinner, maintain Jadeskin and spam Flock.

Soloed this one with a P/P Emperor Crab (1,1,1) for the Aquatic Acquiescence achievement.

Just keep Spell Shield and Renewing Mists up and use Snap as your attack. I renewed both the Shield and Mists while one round was still active, just in case of stuns/hexes, whenever possible.

Had 2 more Emperor Crab's waiting in the backline, but never even came close to needing them.

For Ragnaros, Watch and Learn (all elemental team), soloed with Blossoming Ancient (2, 2, 2). Sunlight on CD, keep up Photosynthesis, fill with Ironbark. Slow, but simple and effective.

Had to do Sharptalon Team Up and thought I'd combine it with Flock Together. Team was
Teroclaw Hatchling 1,2,2
Sandy Petrel 2,1,2
and of course Sharptalon Hatchling 1,1,1.

Nature's Ward reduces Gusteau's damage and Dodge blocks the stun.
The petrel's Thrash makes short work of the critter, and everything the Sharptalon does is very effective against the frog.

It seems to me there is some bug with this NPC - Frying Pan of its Gusteau and Frog Kiss of its Dinner are nominated as having 25% of CC my pet, while in fact they succeeded like 10 times and failed once. Seems it's around 90% and not 25%.

Really easy for all Flying i used;

Blazing Firehawk, 1-2-1
Bone Wasp, 2-2-2
Sharptalon hatchling, 2-1-1

On Gasteau use Scorched Earth and then just spam Deep Burn, keep using deep burn on Remy till your Firehawk dies, bring in your Bone Wasp or any other wasp and just spam Claw/Bite, on Dinner use Predatory strike and keep hitting him with Claw/bite when needed use your Hatchling or any other good flying pet.

Chopped is randomly available in Suramar (62.95, 60.73) - near the Twilight Vineyard portal, only visible if you've unlocked World Quests, AND have reached honored with The Nightfallen, AND have completed the "Blood and Wine" storyline for Good Suramaritan. Rewards will vary.

Varenne will have the following team (all level 25 rares):

1. Gusteau	mechanical	Chop	Frying Pan	Heat Up
2. Remy	critter	Scratch	Poison Fang	Survival
3. Dinner	aquatic	Frog Kiss	Bubble	Swarm of Flies

World Quest Team: The RNG from Frying Pan and Frog Kiss will impact any fight - but this is otherwise a pretty straightforward encounter that can be 1v1 with a variety of pets.

Slot 1 (pick one): Elemental with Elemental attacks - ex. Pandaren Fire Spirit, Soul of the Forge, Phoenix Hatchling, Fel Flame, etc.
Slot 2 (pick one): Beast/Humanoid with Beast attacks - ex. any of your basic cats (list), Kun-Lai Runt, Flayer Youngling, etc.
Slot 3 (pick one): Flying/Magic with Flying attacks - ex. Crow, Teroclaw Hatchling, Skyhorn Nestling, Jade Owl, etc.

Varenne is part of Family Familiar

Emperor Crab (1,1,1) +2 strategy (here) by Jynzor.
I would suggest something like a Mud Jumper (1,2,2) for backup, as Swarm of Flies would tick away at a Bubble even if you get stunned by Frog Kiss, and Bubble has an 8 round CD, so you're free to spam Pump (aside from kisses) after that.

Beast: Best of the Beasts (TBD)
Critter: Mousing Around
- Team: Fire Beetle (1,2,1) (alt) | Wolpertinger (2,1,2) | Bush Chicken (1,1,1)
My Fire Beetle was H/S and I also tested with a P/P Lava Beetle. They run around 90%. Alts for the Bush Chicken - maybe? Search critters with Peck.

vs. Gusteau
Scorched Earth -> Burn -> Cauterize
Burn until dead (usually both of you)

vs. Remy
- Bring in Wolpertinger
Flyby -> Horn Attack -> Rampage

vs. Dinner
- Between the rest of Scorched Earth and Rampage, Bubble should be gone & Wolper should be dead. Bring in Bush Chicken.
Squawk -> Flock -> Headbutt should end the fight

Dragonkin: Dragons! (TBD)

Flying: Flock Together

Grab 3 moths with Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, Moth Dust. Aim for breeds with highest Power stats (P/P Yellow > P/S Red > P/S Ashwing = P/S Flamering = P/S Royal > other breeds/moths with these attacks).
- Prioritize: Moth Dust on CD (except when frog has bubble) > Cocoon Strike > Alpha Strike to fill.

There are other pets that could work in each slot, depending on your stable:
- Slot 1: Replace with Abyssius (1,1,2) - using Flamethrower when Immolate is indicated.
- Slot 2: Filter to your Magic pets and search for Beast attacks like Bite, Claw, Pounce, or Rake.
- Slot 3: An Enchanted Broom or Jade Owl could also work - try to save Sandstorm or Lift-Off until Bubble is gone.

vs. Gusteau - RNG: Frying Pan
- Immolation -> Immolate -> Meteor Strike
- Immolate to fill
If you get stunned and die before Gusteau, bring in Cub and Pounce.

Try to Immolate before rock dude dies, then bring in Cub.

Start with fungal abomination against Gusteau. If you get stunned you might wish to restart.

Leech Seed
Absorb x 4
Leech Seed again when Gusteau has ressed.

Remy:
Absorb til you die
Crab in.
Keep shell shield up
Snap until Remy dies. Use Surge if it will kill him to avoid survival.

Dinner:
Keep shield up unless you are going to die that round.
Snap as filler until you die. Use surge to take care of the bubble.

Whelpling in:
Tail Sweep til Dinner is done (for).

Used Baby Elderhorn (1/2/2) vs Gusteau, Bananas (2/1/2) vs Remy and Nursery Spider (2/1/2) vs Dinner.

Managed to oneshot his team at first try.

For Dragons! I used the following pets:

Celestial Dragon 1,2,1

Chrominius 1,1,1

Nexus Whelpling 1,2,2

Gusteau is up first.

Cast Arcane Storm to prevent stun.
Breath until Gusteau dies.
Celestial Dragon will probably die at the same time as Gusteau.

Bring out Chrominius. If Gusteau is still alive, finish him off with a bite.

Remy enters.

Bite
Howl
Ravage

Remy dies.

Dinner enters.

Bite if you can, but Chrominius will likely die quickly without doing much damage.

Nexus Whelpling enters.

Arcane Storm
Mana Surge

Dinner dies.

Edit: it appears that the Suramar pet WQs have finally been fixed!

I submitted a bug report involving this tamer, as well as Aulier and Master Tamer Flummox. None of these three Suramar tamers have appeared in over a month. It could technically be RNG, but the odds seem extremely slim. I believe the changes to Suramar phasing have caused this.

This guy appeared today for the first time for me, I had submitted a ticket that I hadn't seen either Suramar City trainers despite having done quest line Blood and Wine previously suggested to qualify. I got an answer that they had changed the critieria. So the only thing that has changed for me was the completion of "A Growing Crises" so perhaps that is the new threshold.

For Elemental team, I used

Living Sandling (2,2,2)
Electrified Razortooth (1,2,1)
Tiny Snowman (2,1,2)

Living Sandling wipes the floor with Gusteau, start with quicksand to speed you up to go first, cast sandstorm, then just blast him away with sand bolt. Even with a stun/pass and a crit on Gusteau's part, I survived with plenty of life. I kept Sandling in and continued to eat away at Remy. He died then brought in Razortooth. With beast attacks he is strong against rat, start with rip and try to time blood in the water not to hit when he has survival up. Keep using rip until it is down. Also trick to use devour if you can to kill the rat to restore health. Dinner comes in, use rip to create an additional attack when frog is in bubble. Switch to snowman.

Dinner was tricky, had failed with previous third slot pets. Snowman casts blizzard, keep deep freeze for when he is out of his bubble and then keep throwing your hat at him. I wasn't "frogged" so there might be some RNG in this but Dinner died quickly.

start off with blistering cold toss an acid rain then ironbark till first pet is dead, cast blistering cold and acid rain on second pet (rng dependent) carrot dies. bring in razor tooth use rip, paralyzing shock, rip, devour (I used devour b4 the second rip and it stopped his heal as a result of the enemy pet's survival spell add the second rip to ensure u will win even if RNG kicks u in the teeth) my razor tooth died here but so did the enemy pet. Bring in corehound howl burrow thrash.

For Flock Together I used the following:

Chi-Chi (1-1-1)
Teroclaw (1-2-2)
Ikky (1-1-1)

Chi-Chi vs the pan: I started with Ethereal, then Quills and heal as needed. The pan kills Chi-Chi after it rezzes. Bring in Teroclaw.

Teroclaw, dodge, heal, and claw against both the pan and the rat. Teroclaw kills the rat. Dinner comes in and kills Teroclaw.

Ikky casts Black Claw and Flock vs Dinner and that completed Flock Together for me.

Specifically Ragnaros, Watch and Learn

I went with a straight counter team
Blazing Cindercrawler 1,2,2 for its elemental damage. Obviously most of the family can take this role. Blazing Cindercrawler has very high damage and is near the top of the list.
Cinder Kitten 2,2,1 For it's Beast damage. This is from the in game store. There are several potential Elementals who do Beast damage, however, such as Molten Corgi, but I can only vouch for success with the cat.
Finally, Pandaren Air Spirit 1,2,1 for its Flying damage.

I'm not gonna lie, this was a close call, but it only has to work once! Good luck.

For Mousing Around I used

Olivetail Hare S/S 2/2/2
Alpine Chipmunk S/S 2/2/2
Red Cricket P/S 1/2/1

Start with Olivetail Hare using Flurry because Gusteau will not have Heat Up up yet so you will not take damage. Next turn Dodge followed by Stampede. Use Dodge when it is off cool down and Flurry when Gusteau has the Stampede debuff. If it all works well Olivetail Hare will die with the Stampede debuff on Gusteau debuff and one hit away from death.

Bring in Alpine Chipmunk use Woodchipper to kill Gusteau and he pops back up. Use Crouch followed by Stampede. If all goes well you will have 1 round of Stampede left when Gusteau dies. Remy comes in and gets hit by the last round of Stampede hit him with Woodchipper use Crouch off cool down and Woodchipper while the Stampede debuff is on. Again Alpine Chipmunk will die with one hit left on Remy.

Bring in Red Cricket use Cocoon Strike then use Nature's Touch because the bleed will finish Remy off. In comes Dinner who will start by using Bubble, use Skitter to knock down Bubble, then Cocoon Strike and Nature's Touch keep using them off cool down and fill gaps with Skitter. Dinner should die with you being about half life.

Start with Abyssius. Volcano, Flamethrower and Immolation. 1st enemy pet dies. Use Flamethrower and/or Immolation for 2nd pet. Abyssius dies, next is Chaos Pup. Enrage then Bite. Use Consume Corpse when enemy pet uses Survival, then finish it with Bite. Use Bite agains blocking ability of 3rd pet. Chaos Pup dies, switch to Broom. Sandstorm (if there is no Bubble blocking it), else use Batter, then Sandstorm. Finish 3rd pet with Wind-Up.

I can confirm that Blood and Wine is still the threshold required to unlock Varenne (and I assume Aulier as well). I had an alt who hadn't progressed far through Suramar yet, but had the rep to complete Blood and Wine. After doing so, I relogged, and the world quest for Varenne popped up. So there are no changes to how far you have to progress to unlock these pet battle world quests.

My best guess is that something changed in Suramar in 7.1 that blocked pet battle world quests there. Whether it was phasing changes or some other bug, these quests simply refused to spawn properly for months. But I think it's safe to say that whatever it was, the bug is now fixed, and they should be showing up again.

I didn't have any luck with other strats, or missing certain pets.

So with ashstone, keep stoneskin up and spam burn until 1st pet dies.

On 2nd pet I usually tried to get instability off and hope that it hits.. then my ashstone core would die

Electrified Razortooth, spam rip, maybe use paralyzing shock and then 1 round after 2nd pet casts survival use your devour to gain some health back

When 3rd pet comes in, I just used paralyzing shock because it was off CD & then a rip and died..

Tiny Twister made easy work of last pet.. used flyby and then slicing wind 2x and last pet died.

Since Varenne is up today and I'm working on Bloodgazer Team Rumble, this team works for bloodgazer + two beasts:

xu fu (1/2/2)
fel pup (1/1/1)
bloodgazer hatchling (2/1/2)

Basically start with xu fu, moonfire -> prowl -> spirit claws (repeat spirit claws) until Gusteau is dead or almost dead (you may have to cleanup his rez round with fel pup). This guy is probably the hardest because he's strong against beasts.

Use fel pup against Remy (he's probably already out from xu fu dying), crouch -> howl -> bite until Remy dies

Bloodgazer makes short work of Dinner, I didnt even bother with warning squawk because he bubbled pretty fast, so i just used falcosaur swarm to get rid of the bubble and apply the damage debuff, then just savage talon until Dinner dies.

Sorry I don't have more of a step-by-step, I luckily did this first try and wasn't recording my steps..

Flying Flock Together:
2 H/S moths and a crow (or maybe a third moth)

I didn't have a fiery bird or teroclaw yet, but I tried this and it went pretty easy.

2 moths (alpha, cocoon, dust), crow (peck, darkness, nocturnal)
Typically lead with dust, cocoon is good to block or offset specials (like survival).

Since the frog blocked both darkness and nocturnal, the crow was pretty useless except for peck, hence another moth may have been just as good.

1. Start with Jademist Dancer. Geyser, Jadeskin, Steam Vent until Gusteau is stunned.
2. Switch to Tiny Bog Beast. Rampage will kill Remy (if it doesnt' crit for the first 2 rounds, Remy doesn't use Survival). Clobber on Gusteau.
3. Switch to Living Sandling. Punch for 2 rounds (to remove Dinner's Bubble), Sandstorm, Quicksand and spam Punch until Dinner is dead. Spam Punch to finish Gusteau. If Gusteau somehow kills your Living Sandling, just choose any of your 2 living pets and finish that bastard. :)

Immolate, Immolation, some more Immolates, Explode and kill 1st pet. It had a bit of health from the res, and did batter with Broom.
Sandstorm, Wind-Up, Wind-Up, and some Batter finished off
Similar to 2nd pet, killed it before needing my 3rd.

Didn't keep the exact pattern, but 2 pets a lot of people will have and leveled, and they went through his team fairly easily after several other magic pets would not. 3rd pet with strong moves would easily proof this against RNG, and this might be able to be worked into a 2 pet leveling strategy. Putting it out there since it may be a while before I get back to trying it due to the other achievements..

To gain access to Varenne, you must complete the quest And They Will Tremble. This requires honored reputation, and you'll need 800 Ancient Mana at one point to pay for a quest. Even if he does not show up once you've completed the quest, and you know him to be available, simply take the portal to the vineyard and walk up to him. This will prompt the world quest to pop up.

Here's the team I used for Best of the Beasts. Slightly RNG, but not too bad.

Mountain Panda 121
Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen 112
Zandalari Anklerender 212

Start out with Mountain Panda.
1) Burrow. This will dodge the first attack.
2) (Burrow)
3) Rock Barrage. If you get fewer than two hits, restart. Shouldn't happen unless RNG screws you. This guide will assume you got two hits; if you get three, even better.
4) Mountain Panda dies. Gusteau also dies, but he rezzes because he's a mechanical.
Bring in Xu-Fu.
5) Spirit Claws or Bite. Bite is less RNG, so Bite may be preferable to you. If Spirit Claws miss, Rock Barrage's dot will kill Gusteau next round anyways.
6) Varenne brings in Remy. You will Prowl.
7) At this point Remy should have brought you just below 50%, activating your beast skill. You will feed, which will one-shot Remy and restore you to full health.
8) Varenne brings in Dinner. Dinner will bubble, you will waste a charge of bubble with Spirit Claws.
9) Spirit Claws (wasted to bubble)
10) Here's the RNG part. Dinner will frog kiss you, and for me it always hit during my three tests of this strategy. If Frog Kiss transforms you into a frog, Xu-Fu will die without doing any damage to Dinner. If Frog Kiss fails, you might get some hits in before Xu-Fu dies.
11) Spirit Claws until Xu-Fu dies. Feed on CD if Xu-Fu somehow doesn't die before that happens.
12) (Spirit Claws/Pass due to Frog)
13) (You can attempt to Feed here, but Xu-Fu usually dies first.)
Bring in Zandalari Anklerender. Yes, you've seen this strategy before.

Arcane storm, flamethrower until dragon dies, arcane explosion with chrominus and surge or ravage remy, then arcane explosion bubble off the frog. Then with spirit of competition fly and tail sweep.

(Since I wasn't able to do this a second time, I could have done this different to get Xu-Fu to live longer with Feed, but harpy will make up for it)

Still on Xu-Fu, Bite, Bite, dead. Harpy Youngling comes in. Flyby, Lift-off, Slicing Wind if needed (I didn't).

Also note that Dinner's Frog Kiss may cause you some trouble, but you should still be able to finish him off easily. Apologies to those that cannot obtain Lil' Rags or Xu-Fu, I hate mentioning specialty pets instead of more common pets, but I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that have the same or very similar abilities that will be able to throw these leftovers in the trash.

Ok for those who don't have Xu-Fu yet and still want to be able to beat Varenne with a Beast team, this is the team I used and it worked perfectly:

Zandalari Kneebiter (Hunting Party/Black Claw/Bloodfang)
Albino River Calf (Bite/Stoneskin/Headbutt)
Direhorn Runt (Trihorn Charge/Horn Attack/Primal Cry)

Zandalari Kneebiter is able to kill Gusteau by itself. Make sure to cast Black Claw first to give that damage buff to Gusteau and then Hunting Party will not only, yes, kill the Kneebiter but kill Gusteau in the process. Next, bring out the Albino River Calf and instantly Stoneskin and then Headbutt for large damage to Remy and then just finish off Remy with Bite. Dinner will come out and finish off the Albino River Calf. With the Direhorn Runt, first Primal Cry to become faster than Dinner and then just swap between Horn Attack and Trihorn Charge and call it a game.

Hope this helps for those who don't have Xu-Fu.

For Dragons!:

I ended up soloing this with Emerald Proto-Whelp (P/P): 1/2/2

I just followed this strategy:
Keep Emerald Presence up at all times.
If Emerald Presence has 4 or more turns left and you have ~50% or less life, use Emerald Dream. Otherwise, Emerald Presence.
Use Breath if you don't need to use one of the other two.

Even with bad RNG and getting CC'd a lot, I had little trouble with this.

(I brought along Chrominius and Nexus Whelpling for Cinnestra's Strategy just in case.)

Those doing Undead: The Lil' Necromancer, here is what worked for me. I ran it twice. First time VERY successfully, second time it was a nail-biter. So even with RNG, this worked 2/2.

Bring in Pandaren Air Spirit and after a few Slicing Wind Dinner is dead.

Keep stoneskin and sticky web up all the time, Leech Life when you can, soloed the first 2 mobs,

That way you can have any other pet to level as third slot.

I used any flying pet to kill the last pet, "Dinner".

So for Murlocs, Harpies, and Wolvar, Oh My! this is the team I used:

I ended up not even using Bonkers for my win. I used Kun-Lai Runt first. I did Frost Shock first to get faster than Gusteau and then Deep Freeze to do a lot of damage and stun him forcing a pet swap to Remy. Then I used Thrash til Remy died and once Gusteau came back out I cast Frost Shock again to regain speed and then Deep Freeze which killed him and forced a pet swap again. When Dinner comes out he will kill the Kun-lai Runt. I pulled out Anubisath Idol next and instantlly used Sandstorm and then I just cast Crush until Dinner died. Once Gusteau comes back out I was able to finish him off with Crush.

For DRAGONS!, Celestial Dragon (1,1,1) and CHrominius (1,1,2) did it. 3rd dragon wasn't even needed. Keep in mind tho, to only use Howl when the frog's 2 attack immune shield is down.

So I only have 5 different magic pets leveled... so I had limited choices here for the Master of Magic achievement.

I chose Minfernal (2, 1, 1) which can be replaced by Netherspace Abyssal, Eldritch Manafiend (2, 1, 1), and Arcane Eye (2, 1, 1). This is quite a bit RNG dependent with the first fight and a little with the third; if you get stunned by Frying Pan or Frog Kiss at all, you'll have to restart the fight.

Also, if anyone wants the stats of my pets, they were:
Minfernal: 1725 health, 260 Attack/Speed
Eldritch Manafiend: 1339 health, 201 attack and 289 speed
Arcane Eye: 1481 health, 289 attack and 273 speed

I gave them since, as you can see, their health was kind of all over the place. XD

Turn 1: Immolation
Turn 2-3: Meteor Strike
Turn 4-7: Immolate (either both pets will die or Remy will kill Minfernal before you can attack)
Turn 8: Bring out Eldritch Manafiend and use Amplify Magic
Turn 9: Arcane Explosion (it is vital you use this one first)
Turn 10: Arcane Storm
Turn 11: Arcane Explosion
Turn 12: Eldritch Manafiend dies here; swap to Arcane Eye of course
Turn 13: Eyeblast
Turn 14: Interrupting Gaze (just for fill damage here; it won't interrupt Remy with him being Critter)
Turn 15: Psychic Blast (Remy will be killed here)
Turn 16: This turn you'll auto pass with everything being on cooldown but that's okay since Dinner only uses Bubble
Turn 17: Psychic Blast (it will remove Bubble in one go for you thanks to the Arcane Storm that's still raging)
Turn 18: Eyeblast (to slow down Dinner to make your Eye faster than it)
Turn 19: Psychic Blast (to get that extra attack in before Arcane Storm vanishes at the end of this turn; this is why using it second is crucial)
Turn 20: Interrupting Gaze (Dinner will be stunned)
Turn 21: Psychic Blast for win

I just did Ragnaros, Watch and Learn and it worked on the first go. Only had 2 crits and that was from a burning effect and an immolation effect, not any actual attacks. I also got critted once by the Heat Up. Also, this strat is based on not getting stunned as well but then, it's only 25% chance to be stunned. :P

I took some advice posted by another person (Sagcat) on here and used elemental pets that had heavy hitting as well as one with beast type attacks and one with flying type attacks. In that regard, the ones I used were Fel Flame (1, 2, 2), Core Hound Pup (2, 1, 2), and Tiny Twister (2, 1, 2).

Turn 1: Immolation
Turn 2: Scorched Earth
Turn 3-5: Burn (Gusteau will die, rez, and die during these turns; during one of them, Immolation Aura got a crit but I'm not certain that made a difference...)
Turn 6: Scorched Earth against Remy
Turn 7: Your Fel Flame dies here; switch to Core Hound Pup
Turn 8: Howl
Turn 9-10: Burrow (Remy dies, Dinner is brought in)
Turn 11-12: Use Thrash to rid Dinner of its Bubble
Turn 13: Howl
Turn 14-15: Use Thrash (also got a crit on Turn 14 here apparently along with a double hit Thrash... but I don't think this one would have made a difference either but it might; also, your Core Hound Pup will die here)
Turn 16: Bring in Tiny Twister and use Call Lightning
Turn 17: Flyby
Turn 18: Wild Winds for the win

I figure it might be useless to have posted the turns considering I'm certain any combination of the above type of pets would work (one with heavy hitting elemental, an elemental with beast attacks, and an elemental with wind attacks) but in case someone had these three leveled, I figured I'd post what I did for them. *shrug*

Aquatic Team:
Any type of crab with Shield and Mists.
Always keep the shield up, and then the Mists.
Handles Gusteau with ease.
Remy and Dinner will follow with the same tactics.
As long as you don't mind taking a little longer, this is a safe kill.
Could probably do a couple of levelling pets, but I haven't noted the xp return yet.
I used Emperor Crag (H/H) with Surge for damage, as it beats the cast of their Fortitudes, Bubbles, etc

To elaborate on Jimbonz's strategy:

Crimson Shale Hatchling vs Gusteau:
Keep Stoneskin up on the Gusteau, and use Sticky Web and Leech Life alternatively, bearing in mind that Leech Life heals double if the target is webbed. If Gusteau stuns your pet more than once, I advise that you forfeit and try again - you need as much health as possible when facing Remy. Rotation should be Stoneskin - Sticky Web - Leech Life - Sticky Web - Leech Life, rinse and repeat.

Crimson Shale Hatchling vs Remy
On Remy, don't bother to use Leech Life - Remy cannot be webbed, so the damage/healing is simply not worth it. Focus on getting as many Sticky Webs in as you can before your pet dies. For me, Remy used Survival then killed my Crimson Shale Hatchling.

Level pet vs Remy
I brought in a level 10 flying pet with Remy on only 1 hp. Remy hit the poor darling for half her health, but she killed him. So your pet should have at least 500 hp to survive, factoring Remy's abilities vs your pet's weakness/strength.

Teroclaw Hatchling (2/2/x) vs Dinner (I advise against using Nature's Ward, as this makes your pet vulnerable to Frog Kiss)
I selected this pet for his ability to Dodge. So any other flying pet with this or a similar ability but a little more speed might work better. Dinner opens with Swarm of Flies so hit him with Alpha Strike where it hurts. He then uses Bubble, but you go first so hit him again. You might want to risk letting the first Frog Kiss through, as your pet's health will still be quite high (making you faster). I managed to get Dinner down while my own pet's health was low.

This strategy is heavily RNG dependent (you hope that Gusteau won't stun you and that Dinner won't frog you). The strategy is solid, however. If you decide to experiment with alternate pets, you should to look for towards more speed or ways of negating the stuns.

For Best of the Beasts, I used Xu-Fu (1,1,2), Bucktooth Flapper (2,1,1) and Cinder Pup ( 2,1,1). Start Xu-fu with Prowl, then Spirit Claws. If dazed, restart. Feed, then Spirit Claws. Gusteau should be dead. Get one hit on Remy with Spirit Claws, Xu-fu dies. Switch to Bucktooth Flapper, Screech, Gnaw until Remy is dead. Gnaw at Dinner, once, maybe twice. Cinder Pup is up, use Immolation, and Flame Breath until Dinner is dead. I had try a few times depending on rng but finally got Best of the Beasts with this combo. Good Luck all!

For Lil' Necromancer:
I used the following:

Fragment of Anger (2,2,1)
Fossilized Hatchling (1,2,2)
Blighthawk (2,1,1)

For Gusteau:
Start with Fragment of Anger, spam Seethe until Gusteau is dead. Sometimes you get crit lucky and he goes down before you die and res, but I found more often than not we died on the same turn.

For Remy:
If Fragment is still alive, I use Soulrush, but Fragment shouldn't last more than a round. If not alive, switch to Fossilized Hatchling
1. Claw
2. Claw
3. Death and Decay (this persists through swaps, and thus will be instrumental in getting rid of the blocks Dinner casts)
4. Claw
5. If Remy casts Survival, refresh Death and Decay
6. Claw - this should kill Remy, but if you die first, use Blighthawk's Slicing wind

For Dinner:
Dinner casts the two attack block first
1) Slicing Wind (this gets blocked), and the Death and Decay will take care of the second.
2) Lift Off
3) finish lift off
Slicing WInd and consume corpse if you fall below 50%, but I finished this fight with almost 75% health.

My strategy for The Lil' Necromancer Achievement (using 3 undead pets) to defeat Varenne leaves
very little room for chance because the Mechanical pet Gusteau never has a chance to stun with
Frying Pan until the very end of his life, the aquatic pet Dinner never has a chance to hit with
Frog Kiss and all of the move sets being used have a fixed amount of damage instead of variable
amount of damage, and all of the move sets have a 100 percent chance to hit. In fact, the only RNG
involved for this fight is a possible crit here and there and the very tail end of the fight when
Call Darkness is in play. I was able to repeat this 10 times with success each time.

Pets I used:

Mr. Bigglesworth (2,1,1) only comes in one breed
Blighted Squirrel (2,2,2) any breed should work
Bone Serpent (1,2,1) use the S/S breed which has 292 speed to beat Dinner

The battle:

Mr. Bigglesworth goes first with 325 speed

01] Ice Tomb (Gusteau Heats Up and does no damage)
02] Ice Barrier (Gusteau tries to hit with a Frying Pan but misses)
03] Swap to to Blighted Squirrel while Gusteau misses with his Chop and then the Ice Tomb
hits him and stuns him and he will swap to Remy.

I just barely beat it with:

Vicious Broodling (1,2,1)
Pygmy Owl

Sunflower: Open with Early Advantage, Photosynthesis, and Lash, then priority rotate
Vicious Broodling: I don't remember the exact order I think it was Burrow, Web, then Rend and so on
Pygmy Owl: Caw, Preen, Talon, talon...

Fight ended with 12 health on Pygmy owl. Sunflower died when second pet came out, Broodling got one hit on Dinner then died. Please note I have limited pets, so I'm just telling you what worked for me, but may not be the ideal strategy.

For the Dragons I used Celestial Dragon 1,1,1 as flamethrower works great against the Mechanical.
Then Chrominius 1,1,1 as beast abilities kill critters such as rats the best.
Then Nether Faerie Dragon with 1,2,1 slicing winds had no trouble taking out the frog even with the bubble.

After several failed attempts with various elemental teams for Ragnaros, Watch and Learn, this lineup finally worked for me. I based the selection on who would be strong versus each of Varenne's pets (mechanical, critter, aquatic).

Elemental team:

Pandaren Earth Spirit (1,1,1) - Lumpy (1,2,1) could also work
Amethyst Shale Hatchling (2,1,2) - any of the Shale Hatchlings should be fine
Molten Corgi (2,1,1)

This probably would have been less complicated if my first rupture hadn't stunned Gusteau, but it did so here's how the rounds played out for me:

Start with Pandaren Earth Spirit. Rupture
Gusteau is stunned and Remy swaps in. I used stone shot but probably should have switched to the hatchling.

- Can swap "Strand Crab" for any crab with similar moveset and you can probably fit almost "Aany Aquatic Pet" on last slot making this very easy.

Start:

"Dive" to avoid getting stunned on turn 2.

2nd pet comes in and stuns you

When rat is about to be killed he will use undying so you need to save "Trihorn Charge" for the turn that you can finish him off.
Until then use "Horn Attack" and "Primal Cry"

Vs Frog

Just do as much damage as possible. Save "Trihorn Charge" until after his bubble if u want.
If your Direhorn dies just bring out Lurking Owl Kitten and finish him off ( or any other beast pet)

Best of the Beasts is a hard one for Varenne

I used Terror Larva 1,2,2; Worg Pup 1,2,2; Thornclaw Broodling 1,1,1.

Terror Larva: Burrow, Sticky Goo, Chomp. Repeat Sticky Goo and Chomp. If you get stunned - just start over. If not, Larva should kill Gusteau the first time.

Worg Pup: Bite Once (maybe twice) should kill Gusteau his second time. I used Dazzling Dance first against the second pet, but I don't know if I needed it.
Then Howl, Bite, Bite; second pet dies. My Worg Pup died at the same time.

Thornclaw Broodling: Skitter, Burrow, Drain Blood. Repeat Skitter and Drain Blood until Burrow comes up again. Another Blood should kill the third pet.

I ended with my Thornclaw Broodling having about 1/4 health.

For Dragons! I used Soul of the Aspects (x, 1, 2) Chrominius (1, 2,1) and Sprite Darter Hatchling (1, 2, 2). It's vital that Sprite Darter be faster than the frog, so Nether Faerie Dragon won't work unless it's S/S - my Sprite Darter was S/S. If you're stunned by Gasteau with the frying pan, restart, but it's only a 25% chance.

My rounds went something like this:

Sunlight
Solar Beam (Gasteau goes first - if he stuns you before you cast this, restart). Gasteau dies, then resurrects due to Mechanical Failsafe.
You are recharging, 2 rounds, but should just BARELY be alive to cast another Solar Beam and kill Gasteau with one move before dying.

Chrominius comes in.

Ancient Blessing
Bite
(repeat Ancient Blessing if necessary)
Don't cast Ravage until either the Critter "you can't kill me" down to 1 health move is on cooldown, or if the mouse has about just > 400 life, then it seems he won't cast it and you're safe to Ravage. Mouse dies.

Ancient Blessing again a soon as off cooldown, and try to Bite until Chrominius dies.

Sprite Darter comes in.
cast Cyclone
use Life Exchange if you get some bad RNG, but make sure the frog's Bubble is off.
Slicing Winds to the end.

This is definitely subject to some RNG, but I haven't seen many (or any) Dragons strats on here and this worked for me (after like 4 tries with an H/P Nether Faerie Dragon, it worked first time with life to spare with S/S Sprite Darter). Not perfect, but possible.

With Cinder Kitten, I did Leap, Rend, Prowl, Leap and that took care of Remy (cinder kitten dies here also)

Bring in Phoenix Hatchling, Immolate first, Dinner will Bubble, pass or Peck(will do no dmg), once Bubble is gone, Conflagrate, Peck to finish if necessary.

This worked on first try, haven't tried it again, so not sure if RNG is factor. Blossoming Ancient + Cinder Kitten strat stayed same throughout my tries, changed out last pet until I got to Phoenix Hatchling which worked. Blossoming Ancient was at full health at end and Phoenix Hatchling was at about half health. You can probably swap out Blossoming Ancient for Singing Sunflower.

For Master of Magic, I used the following since I didn't have any of the other recommended pets leveled:

Abyssius p/p, (1,1,1)
Brightpaw s/b, (2,1,1)
Enchanted Broom s/s, (1,1,2)

Tossed up Volcano, then Immolation, then Flamethrower, and just kept at that. The Volcano took care of Gusteau for the most part. Brightpaw used Arcane Storm right away, then Prowl, then Bite. It crit but knocked out Remy in one round. He just used Bite on Dinner until Brightpaw died, then Enchanted Broom used Sandstorm once and it was more than enough. Pretty solid compared to some of the other Family Familiar fights I did on Varenne.

Since Brightpaw is an In-Game Shop pet, I'll add, untested, that Chaos Pup would probably work as a substitute, with Bite and Enrage.

For Direbeak Team Rumble, I used
Sporeling Sprout (using his mechanical abilities)
Kun-Lai Runt (with critter abilities)
then Direbeak for aquatic abilities.
Worked quite well.

Comment: Don't use Elementium Bolt on Gusteau. Taking Gusteau down as quick as possible is your best option. Stunning him will just swap him out. A bit of RNG on "Dinner". He will kiss you and you will either turn to a frog or not. Becoming a frog means less damage.

Comment: Extremely annoying fight. Remy using survival and Dinner using bubble, plus Dinner can stun. This one took a while to win.

Comment: Alt my pets had over 1600 HP each (P-H), but I won with only 152 hp. There was also some swapping on Remy and Dinner. The reason was that Hydrath Droplet had used his Bubble on Remy, and I thought it would be smart to have dodge on Remy with Core Hound Pup. The end shot was from Hydrath Droplet (Pump), and I timed it so Dinner's Bubble would be ready after his death.

Comment: Sent in Iron Starlette -> Made him faster with Powerball. Then I sent in Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. Did not use Iron Starlette again until I had taken down Dinner's bubble and I oneshot him.'

Well, it would have benefits to read from the bottom, not from top.
I have to found my beast strategy myself. It is:
Baby Elderhorn (1-2-2),
Zandalari Anklebeeter (2-2-2),
Lurking Owl Kitten (2-2-1).
Just use the strongest atacks.

For Mousing Around (critters) I used:
Rapana Whelk - 2/1/1 (boss and Whelk die)
2 x Void-Scarred Beetles 1/1/2
Keep Shell Shield up on all pets and refresh when at 1 stack.
Void Crash and Crush on cooldown.

easy win (just make sure to keep Curse of Doom up at all times and it doesn't stack so wait for it to hit before casting it again)

For The Lil' Necromancer (undead) I did:
Ghostly whelpling 2/1/2 (cast scorched earth, Devastate, Spiritfire bolt till 2nd scorched earth... both pets die)
Scraps (1/1/2) Consume Corpse before you die
Zomstrok 1/1/2 (important to get toxic skin up and keep it up, and then Shell shield, fill with infected claw. Swarm of flies will damage the frog each time it hits your toxic skin).

Not an "easy" win, but it works for me.

Mousing Around - Critters
Absolutely none of these did it for me as I didn't have some of the pets or they were heavily RNG.

I used Giant Woodworm (2-2-2). Barkskin on start, keep it up and kill off the 1st pet with Super sticky goo.
Egbert (1-2-1). Keep Adrenaline Rush up, use Bite as it deals the most damage.
Third pet was Darkmoon Hatchling (1-1-2). Start with Screech as the frog puts on a shield. Wait for it to go down, use peck or pass, then use Predatory Strike, and kill it off with Peck.
Was a one shot for me. Gl.
