Gutretch:

Cadavus – Beast
Fleshrender – Beast
Blight – Critter

None of these pets are particularly strong. They all have Consume which is Undead and therefore weak to Aquatic (which is important because the heal they receive is based on the damage that it does.) They also use Burrow which means a healer can burn a heal when they are underground... I suggest Turtles for this fight as well just because it limits the enemy healing. Make sure to switch to Headbutt for this fight as Critter abilites are weak against two of the pets and it can be used against the Critter pet for extra damage.

if blizzard did the game the same way they do pet battles from these level-25 pet masters, the whining and QQ would outdo anything they have seen in last 8 years+++

imagine going into a dungeon, and no matter what you bring and rotation you do you are countered to no end, and always behind. attacks that always attack 1-3 times....only attack once, rotation after rotation

i bring mechanical pets to fight this guys 2 beasts, his several burrows force me to miss a turn, while he gets free passive corrosive dots. comes out of a burrow and even a mechanical can't deal with the 500-800 following burst attack,

i have beaten all the northrend battlemasters weeks ago, took me 6-10 times on each one or more including master payne.

today i go to northrend to do them after skipping them for a awhile. it is totally aggravating.

they have huge speed advantages, that even if you attack with the mild attack that also slows their speed, you suffer cause that is like a skipped turn and you recieve a severe attack, then on your next turn, they burrow causing you to miss another attack

another hacker OP pet master, hard to use pets below 25 to try to gain XP, he will rip 4 attacks at times wiping that lower level pet

Team of Little Fawn, Emerald Turtle, and a level 21 Robo-Chick took them down, much easier to beat than Okrut Dragonwaste was.

Gutretch has by far the best attitude of any of the pet battle opponents. Everything is less serious when you're dead I guess.

solo'ed with Landros's Lil' Xt @ 24, just kept using tantrum+repair with a trash for the round they overlap had both backline pets dead before i finished off first pet.

Failed with uncommon turtle lvl 24, rare turtle 21 and rare spider 25. this gave me a draw 2 times.

Then I went with rare 24 Kuitan Mongoos, rare 25 Turkey and rare 25 Spider and won.

WTF?
After fighting the other 2 trainers in Howling Fjord and Dragonblight this fight was so idiotically simple it defies belief.
Used my nuclear powered mechanical ninja cat.
Fluxfire Feline, up til that fight in Dragonblight, this was the most OP pet I'd ever seen or heard of.
Basically it took out the first 2 pets alone,yeah, it's a level 25, but it's a green quality.
And believe me,that matters a lot. I captured it as a white quality and upgraded it with a stone, but he loses now around 50% of the time due to being "only" green quality.
The combo, Prowl,reduces your speed by 30% and increases your next attack by 150% damage.
Windup, your next attack deals 10% more damage.
3rd,either a 2nd helping of Windup which "deals a flurry of attacks that deal 713 mechanical damage" strong vs Beast class.
Or, Claw which deals 317 Beast damage, but usually crits for over 1500 on a good day and "1-shots" most critter class pets.
Got taken out near the end of the 2nd fight or start of the 3rd.
Fjord Worg Pup (25) stepped in and worked 3rd pet over pretty good with Dazzling Dance and Flurry before succumbing to stupid Death and Decay.
Leaving Cogblad Raptor (18) to finish up last pet that had around 120 hp left and gained 2430 xp for the fight. Making him 19 and 61% now. :D

First off, Thanks to QuickBASIC37 for your useful info. It was very helpful in figuring out what to use for this fight. I was wanting to try and 2 pet this fight so I could use the xp to help level my 3rd pet. I decided to go with Cornish Rex Cat (Uncommon 23) as my pet to gain the XP, Strand Crab (Rare 25), and Softshell Snapling (Rare 25).
I had the cat come out first so he could cast one ability and get the xp in the end, then I swapped to the Strand Crab and this guy ended up soloing all three pets. I used the abilities Snap , Healing Wave , Shell Shield . My cat got enough XP for a full level.

Beat him on my first try with:

25 Spirebound Crab (rare)
25 Snarly (rare)
25 Winterspring Cub (rare)

The Crab and the crocolisk both died (took out 1.5 pets) and the Winterspring Cub wrapped things up. He has 692/1302 health left after the fight.

I managed these by levling up my Robo-Chick and Rabid Nut Varmint 5000 to 25 (starting at level 17) since mechanicals are the only battle pets that are strong against beasts. My third pet was a Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog (25). All my pets were of rare quality and the fight was not much of a deal.

So my tip: bring mechanicals to do damage and/or aquatics to resist the opponents' undead dmg. For the love of god to not bring critters!

Just soloed this with XT, he destroys this group.

Open with Tympanic Tantrum, then I threw down a Repair as second maggot came out, it got me almost to zero, then heal back to practically full health.

Zap until Tantrum off cooldown, repeat.

I cannot believe how OP XT is, I even forgot to swap in my levelling pet, was having so much fun.

Easiest one so far

Used Son of Amimus with Metal Fist, Siphon Amina and Extra plating.

He solo'd the first two pets. When the third pet came in he had res'd and was low hp. I got metal fist off and took the first hit from the rat and died.

Rhen I brought in Summit Kid and finished off his last pet with Comeback since the metal fist took the rat to half HP.

Both pets rare quality and level 25.

I was having trouble with this guy until I tried using my Anubisath Idol. He easily soloed the entire fight with health to spare.

Despite Demolish having a 50% miss chance it would nearly one shot the worms when it connected. Stoneskin and the humanoid resistance removed the damage from Acidic Goo almost completely. I ran Rupture in the third slot for the stun but didn't really need it.

I lost 3 times with all rares and 25: Fire Beetle, Pandaren Monk and Direhorn Runt. So I am not sure if I should level some random turtle I don't have or what, but I cannot beat this guy for the life of me.

Pro combo:

Lil' XT, Clockwork Gnome and Chrominius.

Open up with Lil' XT and use Heartbroken. When they hit you once pop Tympanic Tantrum. That should get em low enough. Then when Tantrum is off switch to the Clockwork Gnome and use the Turrets and Rockets. That should get rid of the beasts.

For the critter just use Chrominius with Howl and bite, should go down pretty fast.

Great tamer for levelling your mechanical and aquatic pets if you have the right level 25 to solo the fight.

Beat him with:

Lvl 15 Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling S/S (common Green) 2/1/1
Lvl 25 Anubisath Idol H/H (rare) 2/2/2
Lvl 22 Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog P/P (rare) 1/1/1

Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling was first up, I used Bombing Run once then swapped him out for the Anubisath Idol. Stoneskin the idol and keep hitting Demolish. Despite the 50% chance of missing, when he hits it's hard enough to wipe out his team. When his last pet was at around 300HP I swapped in the Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog. Two Frog Kisses later and it was all over for Gutretch. Comfortable finish, all three survived, the Dragonling gained a level plus a nice XP gain for the Bullfrog too.

25 rare Anodized Robo Cub
22 rare Sporeling Sprout

Sandy Petrel (flying, so good defense to beast) barely took out the first with Cyclone, Lift Off and Slicing Wind before dying

Anodized Robo Cub (mechanical, so good offense to beast) took out the next one and brought #3 down to 200hp before expiring

leveling pet Sporeling Sprout (Humanoid, so good defense to the final critter) finished off #3 without taking damage

I used:

1. Rare level 25 H/B Tranquil Mechanical Yeti: Metal Fist, Call Lightning, Ion Cannon.
2. Rare level 25 S/B Clockwork Gnome: Metal Fist.
3. Rare level 25 H/H Chrominius: Howl, Bite, Surge of Power.

Tranquil Mechanical Yeti killed the 1st pet (beast) and almost killed the 2nd pet (beast) in 6 rounds.
Yeti died, I swapped in Clockwork Gnome, who finished off the 2nd pet with two Metal Fists.
Chrominius killed the third pet (critter) with a Howl, Bite, and Surge of Power.

I tried using an Anubisath Idol to solo this, like other people have. However, mine got wrecked, with just under 200 hit points left after killing the first boss, so I switched to the strategy above.

Very easy to do with Iron Starlette and Nexus Whelpling without depending on RNG.
First pet: Start with Wind-Up -> Powerball -> Supercharge -> Wind-Up
Second pet: Wind-Up -> Wind-Up ->Starlette dies, bring out Nexus -> Mana Surge -> Arcane Storm.
Third pet: Arcane Storm will probably kill him, otherwise just use Tail Sweep.

soloed with level 25 rare emperor crab (snap/healing wave/shell shield). keep shell shield up, heal on cooldown (try to sync it with the burrows), spam snap. if you can get through the first 2 pets without dying, the last pet (the rat) is a total joke as long as you keep shell shield up.

Thanks for the aquatic and human tip.

I used Uncommon 25 Emperor Crab for pet one. Unfortunately probably not the best choice as this little guy died pretty quick. I'm sure as a rare, this guy would have been much better.
I started with Shell Shield, spammed Snap until my health looked a bit lacking and then used Healing Wave before renewing the shield. Rinse repeated. eventually this guy died, bringing up my next victim.. i mean pet...
(I was totally fine with my pet's dying and wasn't trying to level up any)

My next and best pet used was Rare 25 Emerald Turtle. This little pocket rocket actually took down the first AND second pets against Gutretch. (both Beasts, as said above)
Simply, Shell Shield, then Headbutt (do this whenever it cool's down!), and spam Emerald Bite.
I did this until he died, but he did so much damage that the last enemy pet was almost dead when it changed to...

Treasure Goblin Lvl 25. (rare of course?)
I began with Dodge right away, and then Wild Magic, just to make my damage harsher. And then just spammed Magic Sword.

Last enemy pet was down very fast with very little damage to my goblin.

If you don't care if your pets die, then this is a piece of cake.

Solo'ed this with an Destruction emperor crab after Anubisath idol ate dirt after round after round of unlucky Demolish misses. Just kept renewing mists,and shell shield up, while attacking with snap. Wasn't the speediest of fights, but was never down, more than a couple hundred HP and ended the fight with 1399/1381 health

WOD 6.2

Easiest Strategy with NO CRIT RNG

PET 1: Iron Starlette (1,1,2)
PET 2: ANY Crab (I used Fen Crab 2,2,1 but a literally any crab would work as well, pick spell shield)
PET 3: Plushie

First enemy pet: Start with Wind-Up -> Supercharge -> Wind-Up (first enemy dead)

Second enemy pet: Wind-Up -> Wind-Up ->Starlette dies, bring out Crab -> Shell Shield -> Situational Attack I used dive, you could finish with double claw. (no crits)

Third enemy pet -> Maintain Shield and Claw/Snap third pet to death. You block most of third pets damage with shell shield. I always recast it with 1 turn remaining to maintain it 24/7.

Win. It really was this easy. You could Solo this with 2 crabs if you don't have Starlette. Alternatively Sub First pet with anything that Nukes first pet solo rest with crab. Like if this helped.

I survived with starlette Dead: Crab almost full hp: Plushie full hp.

For this I used:
3 lvl 25 pets - all rare quality.

2 Mechanical pets:
Pocket Reaver: 1-2-2
Cogblade Raptor: 2-1-1
1 Beast pet:
Pygmy Direhorn: 2-1-2

I might have been lucky, but Pocket Reaver was around half health when Gutretch's 2nd pet came in to battle. Pocket Reaver died when Gutretch's 2nd pet was at half health.
I used Cogblade Raptor next to finish of the 2nd pet. My Raptor was under half health when Gutretch's 3rd pet cam in to battle. My Raptor died close after.
I used my Pygmy Direhorn to finish of the 3rd pet.

Quest Complete.

Started with carry pet, then switched to the Proto-Whelp, easy peasy. Keep Emerald presence up, and use Emerald dream when around 50% hp.

Emerald Proto Whelp solo'd the whole team. Didn't even have to heal once and still had half health left.

Emerald Presence mitigates almost all of the entire teams damage, keep that up and spam Emerald Bite.

I beat this NPC using Clockwork Gnome, Cogblade Raptor and Mr Grubbs. Worked a dream. Only the mechanical were l25 and Mr Grubbs was only l21.

Emperor Crab can kill All 3 monsters

Surge,- Renewing Mists,Shell Shield always Active.you can swap it for any leveling pet.500 hp its ok i think.

I soloed this tamer with a level 22 Shore Crab. My pet was at full life when the tamer was defeated.

Start off the fight with Shell Shield followed by Renewing Mists. Never let these defensive buffs run out. Use Snap in between. It may take a while but works like a charm.

3. Flayer Youngling* (L25 Rare; Breed: S/S): with Rampage.

I did this in my first attempt with my Elekk Plushie! :)

Slot 1) Iron Starlette - Wind-up, Toxic Smoke, Supercharge (used 1x wind-up, 1x supercharge, 1x wind-up - enemy dies)

Slot 2) Baby Elderhorn - Horn Gore, Tough'n'Cuddly, Headbutt

Slot 3) Elekk Plushie - does not need to be used, just on the team.

I used Iron Starlette lvl 25 1,1,1 and 2x Anubisath Idol lvl 25

Did Wind-Up two times on the first 2 enemies, they dig donw on their 3rd round so you can't use Supercharge.
After Iron Starlette died when I killed the 2 first I just cleaned up with Anubisath - Sandstorm-->Crush and repeat.
