When you hit Best friend/Exalted status with Farmer Fung he will give you his favorite yak. It will be placed in the pen you have by your house. The yak can not be mounted in any way and is just there to keep your farm more cozy

Farmer Fung
Farmer Fung is located at either (48.2, 33.8) on a haystack, or at Halfhill.

When you are level 90, if you have Wildfowl Roast x5 in your pack he will offer you a daily to turn those in to him for rep.
One Wildfowl Roast is made with Wildfowl Breast x1
When you are level 90, his favourite gift is Marsh Lily along with Gina Mudclaw

Best Friends with Farmer Fung
When he is your Best Friend, a yak Shaggy will be found at your farm, to look decorative.
He will also post you an Enigma Seed Pack. An Enigma Seed plant gives you a random Pandaren herb.

When you are exalted with the Tillers and Best Friends with Farmer Fung, he will come and stand by the bale of hay and the tree stump, near the watering can, looking not-so-decorative, and doing nothing much.
If he's at the market he will not come to your farm and you must wait for a day when he is at "home" on his haystack.

General Information
Tied up with the new Pandaren cooking, and the Tiller's reputation are some individual "reputations" associated with ten npcs which are located around Halfhill and the Heartland in Valley of the Four Winds. All the information you could possibly want on farming and the associated reputations can be found in Perculia's guide. Note that there is more information if you scroll up.

Once you reach Friend with Farmer Fung you are given the option to use the high-altitude blue kite during the daily quest Water, Water Everywhere. This kite flies much higher, allowing you to see more dusty crops and complete the daily faster.

note: quest to "feed em" only shows if you have the cooked food already prepared (5 of each).
"Gift quest" only shows if you have one of the gifts in your bags (apple, marsh lily etc), you can turn the gift in to all but reputation gain is bigger if it is the correct tiller who gets it.

I didnt test if quests shows if you have the food or gift in the bank, but pretty pointless if it does,

Also upon becoming this guy's best friend he allows you to borrow three more kites for his daily "Water, Water Everywhere!"

Red - The normal one you ride.
Blue - Higher Altitude. (Allowing you to see more of the fields.)
Yellow - Faster Flying.
Green - You dance!

Don't know if anybody else has noticed/mentioned this, but oddly, when I talk to Farmer Fung, rewarder of beloved Shaggy, he mentions something about the best crop-growing being through FERTILIZER. Methinks this might mean the yak does something on your crops; if it does do anything, none of the previous WoWhead commenters caught on and assume that their crops have grown at accelerated rates? ._.
Or does this all mean nothing and is all just a crazy assumption?

If you for some reason don't want to do any of the daily food quests to get rep with everyone and want to hit Exalted (Best Friend) with everyone right now, you can gather lots and lots of gifts (looted from Dark Soil ).
I couldn't find anywhere exactly how many gifts you need, so I rounded up a lot of each gift and started giving.
Each character have their special gift, which gives you more rep for them. For example:
Farmer Fung's special gift is Marsh Lily. To get from 0/Stranger to Best Friend (Exalted) with Farmer Fung you'll need approximately 43 Marsh Lily. (Non-human with the guild perk Mr. Popularity)

When the tillers are visiting your farm if u talk to them here is what they say...

Farmer Fung - "I have to say "yourname" Your garden looks great! Of course, I have been weeding all day..."

Jogu the drunk - "This pond sure is nice, neighbor."

Tina Mudclaw - "Oh, Farmer yoon is such a gentleman! He even said he liked the new furniture!"

Ella - Oh... why, hello "yourname" ! your farm is looking very pretty today.

Haohan Mudclaw - "Not bad, not bad. If I do say so myself. Your farm is running smoothly, Maybe one day you'll be as successful as Haohan Mudclaw!"

Sho - "All's clear, "yourname". Don't let down your guard though. Those virmen can tunnel faster than u can say "Virmen a hole!"

hmmm... wish I had max rep with the rest of em to know what they were worth to my farm for now I will juggle Sho and Fung cuz they do stuff I sure don't want to.

You can buy Marsh Lily from Mistweaver Xia for Timewarped Badge x 50 each during a Mists of Pandaria Timewalking dungeon event.

You can transfer Warband currency Timewarped Badge to your toon that has the most rep with Farmer Fung, buy Marsh Lily, then turn them in for 900 rep each.

This will help you to earn enough rep to buy Paw'don Well from Gina Mudclaw. Tip: The more rep you have with Gina Mudclaw, the less gold she will charge you for the decor item. At Friend rank (4/6) she only charged me 800 gold. Gina would have charged less gold than that if I had "Best Friend" rank with Gina.

REMINDER: You only need to reach "Good Friend" rank with Farmer Fung in order to buy the decor item. You don't need to reach "Best Friend" if buying the decor item is your only goal!

If you're doing this while the Darkmoon Faire is active, don't forget to grab the carousel or rollercoaster buff WHEE! before you turn in the item so you get more reputation out of it. My non-human toon with the Whee! buff received 990 reputation points instead of 900.
