Filters and pins seem like basic site functionality, not some carrot to entice premium membership.
Okay, the filtering is nice and all...BUT, the track record of the already relatively simple system for category of what a news is, already get wrong... Very often, not sure complicating it further will make the people making the post actually get the right tags on the post for them to be filtered out.
Awesome! This is a step in the right direction, but would like to see more filters.The one topic I would like most to filter out is anything related to Race to World Firsts and competitive e-sports like articles.
Restricting non-premium users to just one news tag exclusion feels like an arbitrary limitation designed to entice them into paying for premium. The free version doesn't really add any value. It's like running 10 ads on your page, and then saying "free users, you'll now be able to remove one ad!" It's a bit insulting.The rest also feels a bit like "what stuff can we offer easily" instead of "what do our users want" but at least it does add some small value. I was excited to this new era of Wowhead, but this is underwhelming at best.

Is "Datamining & Info" filter supposed to give us the ability to hide spoilers?Because that would be the option that would be most interesting.Adding a second 'please pay us more money' button (labeled "More Slots") to the home page is crass to me - a lowly 'rare premium' user.As a non-whale - the requirement for higher paid tiers to unlock pinboard slots and other listed features make it clear that this effort is more about revenue generation than user-desired features.We need the option to hide the entire 'Your Pinboard' row,I hope you can improve the offering.
