Just remove it for alts.

Would love to have it as an average and not "in every slot". Seems like there are both variants mixed?

This does nothing to stop the fact that it will take 20 weeks of mythic crests to get this achievement in the first place. Why has there been no article on how terrible crests are?

Comment by Mmmmhash

I think this is definitely a step in the right direction. Helps makes alts a bit more friendly and less painful if you're picking up a new alt way later in the season.

Because it won't, there will be turbo boost uncapping it way earlier than that.

Having to gather crests , valorstones or whatever stones , upgrading specific slot only to get better item and wasting my crests for alts , thats why i stopped playing alts beside 1 character , its too tedious to deal with all this compared to what it was before - you do content , you get your item fully upgraded based on the place you obtained it and its all good and dandy , this time sink to force people to play is for someone else but not me , not anymore , not for many people aswell...

Do we know if 6/6 Hero track makes 1/6 and 2/6 Myth track free of crests cost ?

Comment by PveManno

People will still complain. Disney how could you do this?

"Valorstones suck. They stop upgrades so much"

"Okay, they are gone"

"Crests suck so much. They make it take too long"

So, you don't want gear upgrades?

You say it will take 20 weeks. Is that before or after factoring in upgrading lower crests? And given that any season is roughly 24 weeks long, that still seems about right.

But I know, it isn't possible in the first 3 weeks of content access, so it is bad, drip-feed, time-gated, BS, right?

It used to be "in every slot" for Myth crests aswell, but they changed that to "average ilvl" for that specific crest type because it was hard for a lot of people to actually get a Myth track item in every single slot, especially when you're skipping some slots because you're gonna craft over them to get embelishments. So instead, they made it so you need to reach an ilvl equivalent of max-ilvl crafted gear (usually that means 3 ilvl below a 6/6 Myth track gear).

The image directly below it shows that it doesn't ONLY use their associated crest.

Comment by Sathenus

Doesn't this make this season a get achievement on your alt before you send upgrades on your main? CRINGE

Comment by Theradon

So, in Midnight, it costs with Achievement exactly the same as it does now without it?

So it doesn't change the fact that you have to run significantly more dungeons overall.

The image is fine, you just don't understand how to read it.

The real problem (at least for me) is that we need 150 crests to upgrade and only can farm 100 a Week.So double the amount but only 10 more to get.
So,we wont be full gear like in months? Or i guess we can "farm full " in turbo boost?

Comment by Koogaca

Was I the only one excited for warbound gear to solve gearing for alts but turned out to be so underwhelming. Anyone else run 20 mythic plus dungeons to get 1 piece of warbound gear for an alt? Why not increase the chance so we can gear alts with campion tier then worry about how many crests it takes to upgrade each piece.

Comment by MARTWIN

I don't like, don't know who likes and specially who told them crests were fun.

Im also curious why content creators not cry about this. We need 75 Crests more to upgrade a piece and only can get 10 more a Week.
Usually they complain about everything but not about this, thats weird.

They say:

"All tracks have an equal six ranks and only use their associated crest, instead of overlapping."

But there is overlap on the last to ranks. Im going to assume they mean you are not required to use the next rank of crests because now each rank can be upgraded to max with only their respective crests.

Comment by ancineni

Useless
Just revert to the TWW system.
15 crest per level.

These prices are pure insanity.

Do you really think that bump from about 14 weeks to 24 weeks of farming to max gear and get the achievement is still right?

Do you really want to grind the same dungeons for almost half a year to upgrade all your gear and you think that's fine?

Removing valorstones is a good move, but bumping crest cost twice while giving only 10 more weekly cap is just ridiculous.
