I personally would love a better system than spamming Trade Chat to sell my crafts.
I have for a while been brainstorming a "Noticeboard" but for crafters to advertise what they can sell, but I believe it can easily be added to what we already have.

Crafters could easily set their parameters for an item from the crafting table.

The quality they can craft.
The commission they are charging
The materials required

If crafters could also easily see what other crafters are offering, this could help them decide what their order needs to be to compete.

Players looking to find a crafter could then see this info from the current "craft order" station. They could then choose if a crafters offering is suitable, or continue with the regular system of public/personal/guild order.

Some fine details could be that a 'Sell order' is removed once someone orders it, requiring the crafter to replace the order for the next customer. This keeps single players, especially those that go offline, from dominating all orders. A small fee could also to place the 'sell order' to keep players realistic with what they offer. Concentration would also probably naturally limit the quantity of at least max quality orders.
I am sure there is much more I haven't thought about.

Yeah, it's basically a glorified AH at that point. What they should do is add a notice board type of feature to make it easier for a customer and a crafter to connect. Trade chat is hot garbage and moves a million miles a second - it's super frustrating for both sides.

So let the crafters advertise their services: list your professions, items you can craft, the ranks you can guarantee, then have a message button so prospective customers can reach out. After that you hash out details like you do now.

Imo the dialogue between the two parties isn't the issue, it's finding each other in the first place. If Blizzard can make this less annoying, I'd be much happier with the work order system.Public orders should require all materials to be covered.

Public orders should allow recrafting.

When creating a work order you should be able to just buy the amount of materials required and place them in the order.

Quality requirements should still be only for private orders.

This way you actually make the public order system lively from the people who aren't interested in deep diving in the system, while simultaneously still locking good and guaranteed crafting results (especially early on) in the Blizzard fantasy of "Finding the artisan" that they are so hellbent on.

There. I solved 66.6% of the problems that the work order system has. The rest requires making it work cross faction and region wide etc. so lets leave that for the next time.This is all just work arounds for the very simple and obvious solution of allowing crafters to just sell gear on the AH. No where near a even significant minority of crafters consistently make gold crafting gear, there legit might be like 1 or 2 guys per server who have some elaborate 2 account weak aura automated spamming system or whatever that can reguarly make crafts, but aside from that everyone else maybe just gets a craft in every couple weeks or so if they just so happen to see someone requesting a sale in trade chat.

Hey guys, I recently put together a Speed Druid guide for dungeon and gold farming. Druid go vrrrrooom.

It’s the tail end of the expansion where most people just go into farm mode and try collect or prepare for the next expansion. I thought it might be useful to post here for any new gold/transmog farmers out there.

This guide should get you pretty close to 250% movement speed as a Druid in catform with feline swiftness. This is the level 60/61 version of the build.

Stats
You want to focus on stacking one secondary stat to increase the effectiveness of the Longstrider effect from the azerite gear. Criticle strike is the easist stat to stack. When selecting gear, the ideal stats are Critical Strike, +Speed and a socket. Mastery is a great alternative stat.

Jewel Crafting - Train Northrend Jewelcrafting to crafting level 25 to be able to craft the Figurine - Ruby Hare Figurine - Ruby Hare This will provide you a 30% sprint on a 3 minute cool down. The sockets will be used to stack Speed gems.

Comment by TequimaIt's certainly much harder now to build a L70 druid speed set as the Season 3, BoE, Autumn Druid i418 to i424 items no longer drop. They were still upgradeable with flight stones last time I checked. Their S4 replacements are BoP, so no-one can farm them for the AH.

At least I've finally managed to shift most of my S2 and S3 stock on Draenor-EU with /speed tertiary stat, with mainly just i421s and i418s left. I've been charging around 10K a piece, but some are now trying to sell for 50K or more.

I really ought to log my Eonar/connected realms banker and auction those off too...

Regarding weapons, I've sometimes seen i424 /speed agility staffs show up, but they seem very rare. Sometimes with a 99K asking price. They grant around 300 speed stat. The standard i424s, without speed, are trickle-selling for around 15k (for 1H) to 30K (2H).

In regards to Work Orders, my main wishes are:
(a) not to have to rely on Trade Chat (I'm not a salesperson by nature, and prefer to be out doing other content rather than sitting in Valdrakken all day), and
(b) if Craft Orders continue, then link it to the AH for the buyer to easily pick up the mats.
(c) remove the Quality on mats - it takes up bag space, adds unnecessary complication to the process, and confuses and annoys casual players who just want their item & don't care about the process of creating it. (Remember the K.i.S.S. principle, designers),Comment by MikeMJGI think being a level 70 Druid is probably gonna help you clear these dungeons and old raids a lot faster than increasing your speed. Then you can run a lot of BFA raid wings solo as well as other content.

As a LW I was able to casually use all my public crafting orders and fill multiple private orders without much hassle. After the change in public order rates I ended up messaging people who had their orders sitting for a while just to say I could fill them if they sent it as a personal order, crafters couldn't keep up with the public order demand after the change :/ then they went and removed the "must provide all materials" and now its just a flood of 1s tip with no materials. its not even worth the time to look at public orders anymore.

I STRONGLY disagree with what loastoflast67 said. it is quite easy to make money with professions, at least on bigger servers, just by casually glancing at trade chat when your in valdrakken between keys/raids/world content. there is always a spam of people asking for crafts and crafters spamming their links but no one actually messaging the others. People are lazy and expect others to come to them, so if you message those needing crafts, odds are high your making a sale.

Edit: Oh and the alter of decay was a huge pain in the @$$... needing to go to the back of a dungeon, and not being able to skip ANY of the bosses was a big slap in the face as the crafts that needed the alter were in high demand. You couldn't even clear the place and save the lockout for going back later :/ the Cauldron of purification was no better. it is expensive to craft and there is no way in hell you were collecting enough work orders in the limited time and charges to recoup the cost to just set it down, people are just to impatient to wait for you to collect a bunch of orders to make it worth it. On top of that, when you couldn't even use the cauldron to recraft another, someone still had to go to the back of the dungeon to make the cauldron every 3 charges.... the shadowflame one was much better as it was open world, even if it did move around every week, at least you didnt have to clear a whole dungeon every time you wanted to use it. next time either don't put a crafting bench in a dungeon.... or if you absolutely insist, make it a lil easier to get to :/Comment by wowheadrhino7On my server Vial of the Sands is routinely on the AH for much less than the cost of mats.Comment by BeargodWork orders kind of suck.
It's just a bad crafting system overall. Hard to explain, and overly complicated.
Work orders themselves are just an unnecessary system when we have things like the Auction House that worked fine for 2 decades.

You could get rid of work orders, get rid of 3 of the quality ranks of mats, get rid of those multiple weird time gating systems to throttle crafting, get rid of crafting knowledge, and let us use the AH for everything and the system would only be improved.
