"Credit for the Emissary of War weekly quest now requires completion of all dungeon objectives (previously required only the last boss)."What about having 10+ alts to do this just for the weekly bonus... if u want to run 4 at normal way, u can do it... but if u want a quick 4 run, some ppl likes to do Freehold last boss. All of this kinds changes are obnoxious, lately it seems that the devs want a game to be played in only one way. This game is so diverse in players, styles and objectives that it makes no sense to make changes to remove ways of doing things.
Whelp, the dungeon weekly just because more tedious. Wish we could do it via raiding, maybe killing one or two normal (Or heroic) raid bosses for the chest instead. I for one can't stand dungeons.
Surprise, surprise, people complaining when Blizzard patches what was clearly a borderline exploit. You can't have thought that they would let you continue to bypass 99% of a dungeon while still reaping the rewards?
Does anyone know if these timer extensions will count toward runs done this week? For instance, I did a +12 Shrine today and was over by a little over 2 mins. Will it count as completed in time after these changes? Thanks for any info!
My group wasn't avoiding Kings' Rest, Shrine, and Temple because they're hard. We were avoiding them because they're just fairly obnoxious non-fun dungeons compared to Motherlode, Waycrest (which is up there in difficulty), Freehold, or Tol Dagor. Temple is like an inverse Freehold; they're both full of minigames, but all of Freehold's are fun and none of Temple's are. Kings' Rest feels like it goes full throttle every pull, which even if you never wipe still feels exhausting. I'm not sure what the problem with Shrine is, honestly. Everyone I know doesn't like it, even people who aren't concerned with difficulty, but no one really says why besides the fact that it's kinda broken some weeks (Bursting until now, Explosive still). It may be because Shrine feels like a totally on-rails dungeon crawl and you don't feel like you're really making decisions on what to fight? But Tol Dagor is too and that place is still fun. Not really sure.
It's a good decision to change the "kill only last boss" strategy. It was dumb and lazy anyways. Especially because that weekly quest gives you the best reward of all the weekly quests, but was the easiest to complete, because of this laziness.the higher keys count into the weekly quest as well! Just do your highest possible key, and you already have maybe 2 runs done. And do 2 more +10 runs and hope for forged gear. Done.(boohoo. to the people who want free high tier raid gear, for skipping freehold in 2 minutes and think they earned this gear for their 295geared twinks... probably the same people who complain about free gear from warfronts, but abuse this silly thing.)
Not enough nerfs for ....... brain Of yours there is STILL RHC AND LFR guys enjoy.#rip old Shrine and Temple
The problem with King's Rest, Siege of Boralus and Shrine of the Storm is that they are substantially harder at the same key level as the other 7 dungeons. They have mechanics for nearly every mob that you must know or you will fail the key. When I roll even guild dungeons, we usually have a person or two who is new - and having to explain every mob interaction means failed key, period. We can manage this on 7 of the 10 dungeons, but not those 3.That's not a "bad" thing except that you cannot delete your key, get a penalty, but a re-roll on the dungeon. Had one week where our guild had 6 King's Rests at +5 to +7 (which we won't do again) and then the next week we had 7 King's Rest keys. We had to just stop our M+ progression for two full weeks. Then we got our Motherload+7 we pushed to a Motherload+9 and beat that timer. So yeah, we can do ML+9, beat timer, but it takes us 2-3 hours for KR+5, a failed key, then have to push twice to get back to where we were. That's how different they are.So if they are ok with dungeons being tuned so differently, then at least give us an option to re-roll keys like we used to. All of these posted changes do next-to-nothing for this, we still aren't going to be running KR, Siege or Shrine at high levels and in those cases, we will stop playing for the week like we have been. To do neither - a) don't balance the dungeons and b) don't allow key rerolls - well, that sucks. It is more effective for me to tell all our guildies to go PuG someone else's key and we hope for better luck the next week. Many don't bother. The Teeming change, that might be good. After ToS+7 last week, it was clear that Blizzard intended to troll us with 4 new stealthies who stun the tank, and more brutes - and all with huge HP buffs. Was that done just to really punish casuals? lol. ToS already has 20% more mobs than the other dungeons in the normal path... We really had a lot less fun last week than the prior one, but at least we had keys to try :)
I’ll attest to this
Why not gated rez points in all dungeons like we had in Legion? A few have it now, but the majority send you all the way back to the beginning for a wipe, meaning any wipe is likely to result in missing the timer.
Would you all chill out? Dungeons arn't hard if you really want to get into them find like minded people, start a discord channel, invite people who you play well with.
