This is amazing! Love it! I always hated that I had to use Plater-Nameplates just to have decent nameplates. I love it that everyone will now have the same thing so you can understand stuff easier when you look at wow streams and so on.
i NEED to be able to customize the font and color otherwise i wont be able to see them.i'm so freaking terrified about how much they might half ass these systems and screw over disabled gamers like me.
I never used any nameplate addon because I've never felt it to be a necessity with my current playstyle being +12/+13 keys and a few mythic bosses.I tried Plater once but uninstalled it 30 minutes later because my brain couldn't read anything it was used to process for more than 15 years...I'm for one really excited to give this a try :)
Hmm... This isn't... terrible, however I wonder if there will be a way that I have it set up on Kui to show RP nameplates on players differently than out of combat regular players vs not showing allied name plates in combat, but still show enemies? On allies, I like to see their text as either their RP color or class color, then to vanish when I go into combat. Enemies I like to have either 'block' or 'default' according to these current options, and to stay that way in both combat and nonI also hope it doesn't clash with my Kui settings if I get to keep them in non-combat, but want to switch up things in combat. Bleh. Gonna be a headache figuring this out again
These look great. Awesome job Blizz. Keep the faith y'all, the ppl saying "they can't possibly make the UI usable after they neglected it for 20 years."Just wait and see what they do. Blizz CAN cook really well when they want to, and when the situation desperately calls for it. They will pull through on the UI / add-ons / combat stuff they promised. Maybe things won't be EXACTLY PERFECT REPLACEMENTS for your add-ons, but they should do most functions very well. That's all this game needs.W Blizz.
Pass. I'll keep my UI the way it is.

I can see it from far away, when this comes out all the complaining that this is missing things that people actually use. Blizzard might be bringing "must addons" ingame but in reality they are bringing what they think is a must ingame which means is not necessary what players are expecting to be release with the expansion. This is going to be a wild ride, if things go bad because of all this unnecessary mess, this expansion might end up been Shadowlands 2.0.Time will tell
Agreed, the color change for threat from plater is great; haven't seen a direct mention of this about all the new blizz bars but hope they're doing this, it's a key feature of plater.
"Blizzard Nameplates have a leg-up on their competition"how? making the competition not work instead of making good nameplates themselves?this is UBER TRASH.embarrassing.
Color and font packs on the ingame shop when?
Okay and if I'm colorblind just go f**k myself then I guess?Let me be able to assign specific enemies specific nameplate textures/colors/alpha values and style what it looks like when enemies are casting on me and so much more. These are better but they're still miles off from Plater.Don't get rid of addons. Work to make your base UI good enough people simply opt not to use Addons.
Guess I can live with it, block style seems good, targeted spell and spell highlight are good. What I miss is color differentiation for casters and melee
