can we just have the OG look? like why are we minimizing in an mmorpg with heavy rpg elements its not an esport fun and immersiveness comes 1st endgame is literally irrelevent
Blizzard just needs to f off and let me use what I want.Good for those who doesn't want to use addons, it's a W for sure, but not allowing people to custom as they want is a big L.
first build of alpha and wowhead is already making these dogcrap posts.
Big W for Blizzard.. Just keep giving them the positive feedback and whatever else needed to be done.
10/10 wowhead comments as per usual"i can already do this and better!", yeah thats the point"wheres my color confirmation?" idk, guess its time to actually learn the dungeon and see which mobs are important, as opposed to just egtting a plater profile that tells you
My thoughts are.. I cant change color, White on yellow with a White aura is not easy to see/readCant change the font? That font is hard to read quick (at least for me but i guess as the forums said i should get gud)The "texture" of the cast bar and the like needs to be changeable That should be TOP priority. These are things that can make or break UI's for people something that needs fixed ASAP
Kinda funny the outrage, I mean at the end of the day, it's Blizzards game, and they are trying to make it so everyone has to endure their idea of how it's presented to us.
Would be cool to see font size adjustments or ability to display only second word of the mob's name, like T. Name instead of Target Name. But overall it's W
This is better than the cooldown bar, but no colour changing is terrible for anyone who's colourblind.
THANK GOSH for legacy setting! Hope they will extend this to the UI editor - i hate the style of current UI, got addons to change back to the old circular character portrait / health bar / mini map. I think UI elements looking a little rustic fits a fantasy game much more than what we have as default now.
They looks decent, but no colour customisation is huge L
Would love a debuff filter - I want my prio debuffs larger on the nameplate, and the ability to filter out damage modifiers/minor DoTs that I don't care about. Also as a healer that PUGs, for "target" the ability to just make a class icon would be nice. If the "target" says Boobiesxd, it's gonna take a second to find that nameplate rather than just seeing they're targeting the ret paladin.
Don't understand why the cast icons are microscopic

Did the article fail to mention the functionality of filtering out mobs?I know one of the biggest benefits of custom plates I've had was filtering away chaffe mobs that I don't want to see - back in MOP when Tortos was a thing you'd have a million bats flying around causing clutter and fps drops if you don't hide their plates - even bosses like Dimensius or Ovinax that have a heap of small nameplates of either unkillable or pointless AOE clutter benefit a lot form hiding them, and this isn't some "oh he wants to hide mobs to make a fight easier", it's trying to claw fps back - their nameplates existence doesn't bother me in the slightest, though if the difficulty in an encounter is finding the nameplates that matter under all the clutter then that says something too.Which brings me onto the second most important thing - how do the nameplates look on AOE when a load of mobs are stacked? Also guessing there's no actual filtering for debuffs since there's no sign of a means to do it on the shown interface, being able to pick WHAT debuffs you track is pretty fundamental to why addons were helpful - I don't need to track debuffs I apply passively all the time (which blizzards UI currently and presumably in future will still clog itself up with), I need to see the ones I'm actively maintaining.Wowheads article feels like it's managed to dodge talking about what I'd consider the biggest worries with blizzards homebrew stuff. I don't think (m)any people thought they'd be unable to make a nameplat with a nicer interrupt bar and some generic customization. What I'm interested in is if they've managed to improve on where they were always worst, when lots of mobs are present.Feels like a step in the right direction but it's still so far from being able to do what it really should be capable of doing that I wish they'd saved turning everything off until the next expansion when they've actually had time to finish cooking up a replacement that didn't look so shallow.
