theory confirmed.
Yuge
Not exactly a shock although I wasn't expecting to see Mal'ganis again.
Thank goodness. Say what you will about Shadowlands as a whole, but Denathrius was way too good of a villain to waste on just one raid.
You mean the progenitor of repentance in death didn't repent when his son locked him away in his crazy ex-girlfriend sounding sword and locked him away with a being of pure light? I'm so shocked, truly. Just as shocked as when Garrosh laughed at his trial when the Celestials were going to let him free to reflect on his actions against Pandaria, including releasing an Old God essence and defiling their sacred waters.
CALLING IT NOW DENATHRRUS WILL BE HOW WE GET INTO THE NEXT EXPANSION! This idea is mine and I did not copy anyone else's.
So does this mean Denathrius is an actual Dreadlord himself, just possibly his wings were removed somehow to conceal what he truly was? And if so, what does this mean for Prince Renathal since he himself refers to Denathrius as his "father"?
*pretends to be shocked*Now I only hope he will take his vengeance on the Jailer for using and discarding him. Dena is proud enough to take an offense and he is probably a step or two ahead of everyone. If he rejoins Zovaal and doesn't backstab him, I'll be disappointed. Also, I love this.
I'm 99% sure Denathrius created the Nathrezim and isn't one himself per se. He ALSO created the Venthyr, Renathal specifically was "willed" into existence along with a few other Venthyr. The rest was made from mortal souls. So both the Venthyr and the Nathrezim are Dena's "children" with defferent purposes, except it seems like Renathal is first and special. It actually looks like Denathrius is a bit sentimental there.
Pyromancer was right!
Had a feeling Mal'Ganis was going to show up sometime. Just one of the missing Dreadlords since we saw them at Broken Shore scenario.
Denathrius should be a stable of WoW moving forward from SL...I love him. :D lol
You know it occurred to me today that in Warcraft 3, it was stated that Dreadlords have rules that don't allow them to kill each other. Sylvanas makes one break it, but that rule is actually a good explanation why Denathrius did not kill his kin, Prince Renethal.
Varimathras only pretended to kill Balnazzar, seeing as the latter took over the Scarlet Crusade in Vanilla WoW.
I agree with the voice actor thing. His voice actor is just awesome.
I actually am not a big fan of this development. The Dreadlords caused the fall of the Titans. They set up the creation of the Burning Legion. They played everyone against the Void. I understand that Denathrius became popular, and so they want to use him more. But we've already defeated him! This guy was the guy behind all the misery in the multiverse? There was not really enough set-up for him doing all that.I understand Blizz feeling there was not much space for someone more charismatic to be the one in charge, after he worked out so well. But it really feels like more was shoehorned into his character than he was originally meant for. I mean, he works fine as an infiltrant of Nathrezim into the Pantheon of Death. The judas to set up their downfall from within. But now he's getting the role of cosmic manipulator, lord of all Dreadlords. The chess master that's played the whole universe and set up the destruction of infinite lives.I don't know. He just doesn't feel significant enough for that. He'll really have to go "lol, you thought you defeated me. That too, was a part of my plans. Now behold, the true scope!", followed by some massive reveal, if I am to get impressed enough to be on board with this.
Oh no... Jaina?
