It took me about 5 attempts to get it, but there are some strategies that help:1. Don't let the boss charge up the entrance of the cave, stand with your back to the wall of the cage2. Stand in the objective area when the boss dies. For me personally, I stood on the stalagmite in the back of the cave.I now have all 12 gems unlocked.
Got both gems from it. Seems random. You only need to insist multiple times.
it can be obtained. i have it. you cant let the rare hit the ramp or it bugs. you need to taunt it deep in the cave. its tied to the bonus event and when the boss leaves the cave the bonus disappears which bugs it
The objective ended for us in middle of cave without him every leaving the area. Seems that the objective just ends earlier then it should.

i kill him like 4 times and every time we enter the cave instant despawn the gem and never drops
