I want to know how many continue to play after hitting 40.
I'd be interested in how many players kept playing after trying a half dozen times and then saying... "Nope, not my thing".I appreciate Blizz trying new stuff, even if I don't like it (like Plunderstorm--tried it a few times and hated it). I just fervently HOPE it doesn't mean they're gonna try and shoehorn this "mode of play" into World of Warcraft....
It would be interesting to see a histogram based on daily plays on how many players at each renown level played that day.Of course, level ones would be a burst over the first few days and then quickly reduce to a trickle. It's the other levels between 1 and 40 .... at what point do they drop to zero? Then level 40 numbers, does it slowly increase continuously, peak and then drop to a level line or just slowly creep up before levelling out?
Hi my name is bob. I don't like playing wow but I like to collect stuff so I force myself to play wow so I can collect stuff.
And blizzard likely considers this a success after everyone felt pressured by FOMO rewards to hit 40 renown and never touch it again.
I'd like to know the percentage of players who hit 40 that continued to play.
I am baffled by those dying to spiders... But I guess it could be the same people jumping into the storms to die and reset. Spiders could just be closer.
I mean... I played the game for roughly 3 days. I no-lifed out 30 levels over the course of a single weekend, with the other 10 levels made sporadically through the week prior, with an hour here or an hour there. Less than 40 hours of playtime. I averaged 1 1/2 to 2 levels an hour. As soon as I hit 40, I did not go back. I died a few times with 0 plunder, and a lot of times without even finishing my quest. But the trick is to get in and get out as fast as you can. It's all about the plunder turn-around time. Ignore PvPrs. If they attack you, end it quick by either getting away or let them win. While they're scrounging for low level PvErs, you're already queued up and running another match. There is nothing wrong with playing the game as a "survival" game and avoiding everyone while trying to complete your quest.
