They truly lost me in their story telling, this is just horrible. "Hero of Azeroth", cringing so hard. At this point Im not even sure who Im fighting for anymore, great work Blizz. Amazing job on Forsaken narrative. Hopefully find out in about 3-6 expansions what that deal between Helya and Sylvanas was all about. Oh well, just half a year of waiting for now.
Wait, so I can resist that corruption and be a conduit to focus a beam of raw Titan power strong enough to disintegrate an old god but if I AFK too close to a damn wasp while I get a mountain dew, I'm corpse running..................yeah that tracks..................
The only thing I can hope for is that N'zoth's flesh will feed the other gods, and 8.3.5 is just C'thun, becoming all powerful, pushing Sargeras' sword out, and kills us (or those who killed N'zoth) and sends us to Shadowlands.
Devils Advocate here...but if dealing with a gutted xpansion now means that the next xpac might be better, then...yea, let it burn. I was already over this narrative and current system(s) after finishing Mythic Uldir. Ive taken the longest, and only, hiatus (March '19-January 2020) from this game for the first time in 15 years, just coming back a week ago. I've no intention to catch up so I can raid Mythic Nyalotha with my friends and have slated my remaining time in this xpac on totally random stuff to pass the time and just enjoy myself without being concerned with the "grind". Yes, these "cinematics" are disappointing, but frankly, I wasn't expecting anything from this company anymore. Doesn't make it right to the people who are more emotionally invested into their accounts, but still. Cata was lackluster as all get out for me, but MoP was pretty amazing, at least for gameplay; and WoD is always slammed for damned near the same issues as BfA, but Legion really wasn't that bad imo, some system and lack of alt friendly issues aside...and Argus but if you ask anyone who preferred Wod over Legion, you might get a few little voices that preferred it to a resounding "NO" from the rest. There is never any guarantee that the upcoming xpac will be amazing, better, tolerable, or just awful but if history serves as repetition then hopefully Shadowlands will be at the minimum, more tolerable than BfA has been; and with WoW still being the cheapest form of entertainment for me, then that is all I can really look forward to. If not, then I suppose I shall be taking more "hiatuses" than I did in my younger years. Plenty of other things in life to chuck my disposable income towards and if Blizzard never wakes up to that oh well.I can only hope that Blizzard R&D is taking notes, that is, if they haven't gutted that department; and lets be honest, they've been tone deaf for years.TL:DR: -_- "Nothing new under the sun." and "It's all about perspective." -_-

How did we get from Arthas' defeat on top of Icecrown cinematic to this? Maybe after playing the raid it will make more sense but as a standalone it doesn't.
"We lost the Battle for Azeroth. We died and we wake up in the Shadowlands."That's a cool plot twist, especially if it's not revealed until the pre-patch!
"After all, what is real if our perceptions cannot be trusted?"The biggest twist would be that this whole patch is a farce. Everything is not happening as it seems. The dev time and testing to make content like that could never happen though.
I just do not have words. Trying to comment here, but just deleting and starting again... Worst dissapointment ever. Thanks Blizzard. Didn't raid for like 4 years. Wanted to get back just a little. Oh, boy - N'Zoth! Speculated since Cata, when we 1st killed Deathwing. Damn, WoD was such a good expansion!
Not a great ending and it kinda leaves.. a lot of story points not wrapped up? But I think that its mostly because Bliz has realized that BFA wasnt very well received in the both the story and mechanisms department and rather than spend more time and money trying to fix a sinking ship they are just going all in on the next expansion to try and fix what they messed up. Will we see a legion quality expac like we did after the failure that was WoD? Unknown. I'm not entirely hopeful however as I know what we've seen so far of shadowlands is.. not very hype.
By far the worst Cinematic of all the Cinematics. Describes the whole Expansion.
Take that, N'Zoth! One of the best endings there is.
So much build-up for N’Zoth an old God released went out with a wimp instead of a Bang sadly, “All eye’s opened” to how Blizzards lack of effort at the end of an expansion now they have had the money. Truly disappointed.
