By far my biggest issue with enh during SL has been that there's just so much stuff going on at once. Especially when you get a good splintered elements proc and you have like 150% haste or something. The game actually can't keep up with the rotation at that point because even a small amount of lag means that your spell effects are actually firing off when you're already pressing the next button. This basically means that you have to at all times be 1-2 GCDs ahead in your mind during combat to just be able to execute the rotation smoothly. Combine that with how extremely proc-happy the spec is, having to juggle 6-8 different spells in your rotation, and trying to also cycle between targets to keep lashing flames up and the spec just becomes incredibly brain-melting to play in M+.I was kind of hoping that Enh would be much less button bloated in DF so that I would actually have some time to pay attention to boss mechanics for change but it appears like we're about to get the opposite of that, which sucks.
Kinda wish they bring back Rockbiter.
I've been so excited about everything being added and the new possible combinations that I didn't even notice lashing flames wasn't coming forward. It will be missed but not the end of the spec.I'm loving the bigger spender focus especially with overflowing maelstrom. The big lighting bolt hits are gonna be so satisfying while also giving you more flexibility less over capping (er overflowing) of maelstrom weapon stacks
This is a fantastic article. Really well explained and explored, which should surprise no-one who is familiar with Wordup's value to the Shaman community. This spec will definitely end up being too busy for some, or have far too many moment-to-moment decisions for others, but that's why we have such a diverse class and spec pool to pick from.-------------------------
I'm still after all this time hoping for a last minute addition of 2-handed enhancement shaman. I do like how the talents are lining up though whether its good or bad I'm still gonna use Feral lunge
I still would like to see Primordial Wave become a choice node with a few talents underneath to support it like Primordial Wave has. Any AoE build seems forced into it, and not everyone cares for the spell. The best option would be something that has effects for Hailstorm/Ice Strike and Fire Nova... the "fire vs. ice" choice is a really cool part of the tree and having a capstone that accentuates this choice really opens up a lot more options for AoE builds.
If I could make one change to the tree, I would replace 'Ice Strike' with 'Unleashed Elements' so that key would have the versatility in buffing different spells instead of just 'Frost Shock'.
Please give crashing storms to rsham 🤗 with AoE earthquake and Vesper gone, this would help with hitting up to 5 targets.
I wouldve only been satisfied if they brought back 2 handed enhancement
This is an excellent read, and has me very excited to get my hands on it come Beta and give some feedback as a longtime Enhance player (and decently accomplished one in SL at least).
Not a fan of 'party-wide' totems. Shuffling groups around in a raid is annoying and silly.
