I wonder if its like the artifact where you eventually unlock all the traits for the soulbinds or you pick a path but you can change it as you see fit
I love the fact they're putting much work and customization into this. However, I remind you that the more customizable, the more gap there is between what optimum is and what enjoyable is. In the end, unless they balance this new system, there will be a huge difference in usage.
i hope it's not like artifact where you unlock eveything because there is no point to make choice.
To be honest, I feel like Blizzard shouldn't have to balance around optimal gameplay choices. Choosing optimal options is a player choice, y'know? Blizzard should make many options available to us, and if some people get their enjoyment out of that sliver of a perfect choice, that's on them. Some of us make choices because we enjoy the ability to make a choice.

Well those look just awesome. Also, they can be switched freely like talents, so we might adapt to what type of content we're about to do. Necrolords look rad for my tank and arena characters so far.
Can signature abilities be used in dungeons(raids?), or are they outdoors only?
@Kaesekuchen They are able to be used in dungeons, as Preach has been using Divine Toll on his Paladin in First Dungeon.
ok here's my suggestion, make a wow manual. how to play the expansion. per char. per class.I agree with the above comment, Just make it fun. I don't care about the mathematical behind the scenesI just want to feel that my char in progessivly getting stronger and able to get to a point to enjoy the higher content .right now I just play about maybe 35% of the game , I don't do pet battles, I don't do mythic,I don't do pvp.. all I really do is play the storyline, pve max the professions. and play the dungeonsover the years I no matter how hard I try I have been benched in everytime I tried to raid. so,I have given up on raiding completely. other than lfr.. (thank goodness for lfr or else I would not be able to enjoy the rest of the story. ) .
I can't help but feel like this is needlessly complicated across 4 different clusters of groups and you only get to pick 1 of them. Having to pick between flavor/transmog and "what is objectively the best choice" is not a good feeling and I honestly hate all this. Seeing how much more complex it's going to be just proves how much of a total &*!@show this will end up being.People who think they will be balanced: Have you learned nothing from BfA?
As an example, druidic transmog is pretty good to me, which is something I want to adquire. However, their unlockable abilities are far away from being any optimum in comparison to the other covenants' for the classes I play on. When you want to excel at something, may it be PvE or PvP content, you'll be forced to use whatever feels more optimal and to leave any enjoyable experience behind, which in this case are transmog or fun abilities outside instances. At this point, even though it is still on alpha state, there are many abilities that are not as non-impactful to your gameplay as others, which is NOT good.In fact, your guild and mine as well will force you to use the covenant that benefits the most to your class, whether it is number-wise, or the raid group as a whole. And this is why I think non-impactful stuff such as transmog or unlockable outside abilities that aren't PvP or PvE impactful should not be at a crossroad against impactful options in your gameplay. They should be separated individually; a nice idea would be being able to unlock all of the transmog options with no covenant restriction. However, you'll only be able to use your covenant's main ability.
