This seems like a bad idea. This is now just a different kind of consumable tanks and healers will want to/be expected to carry on hand.Tanks/healers who like to push their personal performance will be chastised and judged for not using the group buff - as in most cases it will be better.Tanks/healers on the low end will be judged because they just werent using anything beforehand - and now the expectation is there. With the cost of potions being one of your biggest gold sinks consume wise, I worry this is just going to become a gold sink for tanks/healers - roles that are seeing lower and lower participation at the beginning of expansions where people avoid responsibility. Cherry on top is that its likely a reticle skillshot thrown item which is going to inevitably miss in alot of cases and just be generally annoying.
This could've been a mechanic for a new support spec Blizz. Might as well rush a new half baked wildly unbalanced support spec to compete with Aug instead of whatever this trickle is. Aug with Eng gonna be the meta in TWW it seems
Minecraft splash potions.
You get a bomb, you get a bomb, everybody gets a bomb!(for pve)Although for pvp(non-rated) folks will likely keep using personal potions as they are more powerful for the person that uses them.
I love this, would defo use it as tank or healer
Blingtron 8000 when
I'm convinced they hate Alchemy at this point.
Trial run for a Tinker/Alchemist class
So THESE bombs can be used in instances? But the regular Engineers bomb cant? Explain?
Unless there’s some context that’s missing here, the fact that this item is engineering and not alchemy seems like unbelievably confused design. The shame of this is that they’re innovating on something that they ALMOST made viable in Dragonflight with Bottled Putrescence, and that was something I was personally and particularly excited about in S1. Why they need to move this kind of craft off alchemy to accomplish something better than what we alchemists had this expansion is beyond me. Does this mean we get to bottle up some battle rez potions, or…?On the bright side, finally, at long last, I and the rest of my alchemist friends can look forward to fulfilling our alchemical dreams of mixing up some auto-hammers in TWW. Whew!
Good on Blizzard to take inspiration from Baldur's Gate 3.Now please continue doing that in terms of storytelling, character development and voice acting and TWW will be a blast. Also look at Larian's monetization philosophy while you're at it. Players might love you again.
Stuff should not be balanced around Mythic raiders. So: Good idea! Will be great for our raid!
...Wow engineering might be useful?
Engineers? WHY?It's potions; The Definition of an Alchemist's ability. WTH Blizzard?
