While it is nice they fixed the AH it is a shame they had to work over a holiday weekend to do it. We could have survived with a slow AH until Tuesday. Hope they get something more for their holiday work than a pizza lunch.
It works so well now. Nice. But it shows there's still a way to improve. Maybe it's time to work on phasing so there will be no lags in 40v40 fights in the open world?
Odd side effect maybe? For me everything in open world is running near pristine - smooth, fast movement, combat and gathering. It's like a clean&fresh world with how insanely responsive every aspect currently is.

every shard/server ive been on and sold things, i cleared out 5-6 full reagent banks of stuff, and it sold even old expansion stuff, i made close to 1m gold doing this,and the stuff didnt even last an hour on the marketplace.there has to be bots somewhere doing this, and with bots constantly scanning and scraping the AH, of course its going to lag.Throttling the AH isnt a bad idea, and makes it more user freindly for those wanting to just get in get out.
It's a bit of a meme for working with databases, but they probably just needed to add an index to their tables.(Yeah I know that's not a silver bullet)But reading between the lines, they added a couple of fields you could search for. Such as: "current expansion", and if that's being scanned for every row in the database, that could explain performance problems.Of course I have no idea myself, this is just speculation. Everything hints at something along these lines.

This is why an engineer should never answer their phone outside of normal business hours. Even if you are there, you should pretend you are not so you don't get guilted into having to work on a holiday weekend.

I dunno, I'm randomly getting "The auction house is closed, try again later" messages intermittently. I think something's still borked.
I hope "Item not found" and items being stuck on the AH, therefore showing totally not true prices is solved as well. AH showed item to cost 30 gold, when you put it up on the AH to sell it showed you 30 gold, but if you tried to buy it for 30 gold it was just 23 or 75. Auctions lasting for 430000 days... They should've sent back all items and empty the whole AH.
