The great thing about this Glyph is that it's not an obvious or mandatory choice. You have to really consider whether or not it will be beneficial to use this glyph in the situations you expect to find yourself.

For example the following situation indicate this glyph:
a) You self heal a lot through abilities like Soul Stone, Soul Harvest, Soul Leech or Harvest Life, Drain Life, Mortal Coil, Glyph of Siphon Life, Grimoire of Sacrifice etc. A lot of over healing that gets wasted can be diverted into your mana pool and you won't have to actively self heal immediately after tapping. Allows you to avoid getting caught by an enemy/mob at low health but the difference between using and not using the glyph is minimal.

b) You are in a group situation (raid maybe or BG) where your life flucuates wildly. In a raid you may accidently tap right before a spike and kill yourself, or tapping in a BG draws enemy fire to you because you look weak. This glyph allows you to play safer

c) you are in a group with a healer who is having trouble maintain mana. Rather than inducing them to heal you when you tap, you use this glyph and rely on self healing and incidental cleave healing. (not really necessary if you have good communication with your healer, but sometimes you don't).

The following situations DO NOT indicate this glyph:
a) you are in a group with a good healer with sufficient mana, you are not likely to take any spike damage, you can be healed at the healer's liesure.

b) you are often having severe mana problems and need to have mana on demand. Heals/self healing are just not coming in fast enough to make up for your mana deficit.

since this one is a class glyph, how this one work for Destruction? as their Life Tap have been replaced by Chaotic Energy?

I would like to point out to anyone using this glyph that the debuff can stack to a MAX of 3,591,602 healing absorbed.
