This healer staff is created by scribes.Unlike the off-hands, it binds on account rather than equip, meaning it can be used by the scribe itself or any of your other characters, but cannot be sold on the auction house or traded to other players.

和諧之魂 is created by combining 10 和諧微粒, which are world drops in all MoP zones and, like the Spirit, BoP. This complicates using lower-level alts to craft this for your main.

智慧卷軸 is acquired from from daily research (智慧卷軸). Once none of your current or future characters have a use for this staff, you can recover half of the Scrolls used to craft this staff: the quest destroys the staff in return for 10 Scrolls.

This item may be turned in - via , which is started by right clicking on the item - for 10 智慧卷軸 returned to you. Note that you will lose your staff in the process, but it will help towards crafting a more powerful weapon that will (hopefully) be implemented with future patches.

I compared the top 4 candidates for casual players(with monk healing statweights) as of 12th of October 2012, and this is the rank they got:

(1741 points) 景牙，水語者寶珠 (with the legendary +500 int gem)
(1629 points) 景牙，水語者寶珠 (without gem)
(1544 points) 銘刻紅鶴法杖
(1374 points) 狠毒鬥士能量法杖
(1365 points) 狂風行者法杖

As you can see, if you(as a mistweaver monk) already have 狂風行者法杖, and are thinking about upgrading to the PvP staff for PvE, don't bother, it differs so little. You would most likely get more bang for the buck buying some other PvP item for the conquest points if you are intent on doing so for PvE purposes.

BoA inscription staff is a good option before you can get the Raidfinder staff, but it requires 20x daily cooldowns to make, and will no doubt be very expensive. On the pluss side, you can just send it to an alt when you do get an upgrade, or deliver it as a quest item to get some of the mats back.

With the introduction of PvP power (which increase healing/damage done in PvP zones), and the old familiar Resilience (which reduce damage you take from other players), its really hard to say if the Raidfinder staff (with or without gem) will be seen at all in the Arena scene this season. I suspect that with the new PvP power stat, legendaries(yes, I know its just a gem now) will be a thing of the past in the PvP world.

Staff is bugged and never actually gets crafted. A quest to destroy it is what you will see
and when you turn it in expecting to get your staff, the staff is destroyed.

DO NOT TURN IN QUEST. Make a ticket if you cannot find your new staff in your bags.

Took me awhile to make it, eventually got the 20 scrolls (mostly from daily scroll making), created it, had no problems unlike some others have said, and I just love it (the eyes glow) for my lil goblin shammy. The staff is a little big for her tho, lol.

It SHOULD be NOTED ---- when you make the staff, you have it and its in your inventory bags. You will also see the yellow exclamation point quest marker with it. DO NOT RIGHT CLICK TO START THE QUEST --- UNTIL --- you are ready to destroy the staff to get 10 scrolls back. Once you destroy the staff, its gone.

I made this staff mainly for use with my resto druid who is NOT a scribe. You can accept the quest on your scribe and then the item becomes the staff until such time you redeem it for scrolls. However when I sent it to my druid it was in his bags again as the quest item and could not be equipped by right clicking on it!

I typed "/equip Inscribed Crane Staff" and it worked. Hope this helps someone else get round the problem

It's nice that Blizz thought about making some scrolls redeemable but this seemed to be a silly way of going about it for a BOA.

Because I feel the comments below didn't emphasize this enough:

DO NOT RIGHT CLICK THIS STAFF TO EQUIP!

Right clicking (currently) will start a quest used to DESTROY the staff

There is (currently) no "Confirm that you want to complete this quest and destroy the staff" before the staff disappears.

When you make this staff, drag it onto your character weapon slot to equip.

While all of you do know how to abandon quests (there's a button when you click the quest in your log) - in this case it pays to be extra careful and not even start it. You might forget about it and simply turn it in while doing your dailies.

I expect that Blizzard will soon change this item to no longer function in this way, but until that time please heed my warning. Many of us have made this mistake and I'm sure their GMs are getting bored of restoring this item and soon will be fed up and stop doing it.

Lets hope that by that time they take the quest off the staff and make it a "vendor buy" using the staff as currency for 10 智慧卷軸.

so, patch 5.1 came out today and with it item upgrading. I was wondering if Since this staff is BoA, can you upgrade it with the valor from one toon and send it to another while maintaining the upgrade. ~~If anyone tries this out, please respond with accurate information.~~

Confirmed: Upgrade is maintained when you trade this item between characters.

DO NOT turn in the completed staff for the quest. Your reward is 10 scrolls of wisdom (which makes no sense, it take 20 to make it plus a total of 7 Spirits of Harmony making from scratch) You WILL lose the staff!

So ticked off at Blizz for this.

It is possible to get 和諧之魂 on low level characters. The 密封的木箱 found in Shipwreck Debris pools on Darkmoon Island during Darkmoon Fair drop 和諧微粒 at about an 8% drop rate.

My level 80 scribe started fishing for 50 和諧微粒 at level 1 fishing. It took several hours. I ended up at 311 fishing.

To give an idea of how long this will take for planning purposes; I earned the 1000 fish achievement and I fished approximately 750 Shipwreck Debris pools. Moving between the pools significantly increases the time it takes so don't just mentally calculate how long 311 fishing or 1000 casts would take.

I recommend you stock up on 水上行走藥劑 during the 3 weeks off time leading up to the Darkmoon Faire. You are also going to want to start using your daily cooldown to make 智慧卷軸 as soon as possible because you are going to need 20 of them - it would suck to farm the 5 和諧之魂 only to realize you still have to spend 20 days making 智慧卷軸s.

Probably the more useful of the two caster staves for people with lots of alts. Druids, Priests, and Shaman can use this to heal and still get hit in dps specs, whereas the Inscribed Serpent Staff has hit built into it, better for mages and locks but not as useful for healing

Edit: Forgot about monk healers. This staff is obviously better for them, too

As of 5.2 you can no longer get quest for 10 scrolls.I guess Blizzard changed that so people no longer lose their staffs.On other hand its bad if you want to craft other version and need to farm those bloody 20 scrolls:(

This crafted item is bind-on-account (BoA). This means you must learn the pattern and craft the item on the same account as the toon who wants to wear it.

The BoP Craft Confirm addon helps save you from accidentally crafting BoA/BoP items that you intend to trade or auction.
