Which Reputation to Prioritize For Each Specialization in Mists of Pandaria Classic

Kun-Lai Summit - This zone does not grant reputation with any faction for most of the story questline until you get to The Defense of Shado-Pan Fallback. Here you'll have 15 quests which grant a small amount of reputation towards Shado-Pan.

Townlong Steppes - The entire zone of Townlong Steppes grants reputation towards Shado-Pan. The questline will end with The Sha of Hatred, but more quests in the zone grant reputation.

Dread Wastes - As with Townlong Steppes, working through this entire zone will grant you reputation, but this time with The Klaxxi. You will also need to have completed the whole zone questline to unlock the Exalted-only quest that grants you an item level 489 ring.

Golden Lotus - Your reputation with this faction is built by completing a long story-driven questline which unlocks 5 daily quest hubs and ultimately culminates in The Final Power that grants you an item level 489 necklace once you reach Exalted. Beyond the questline, reputation is mostly built through completing daily quests, but Relic of the Thunder King can also be obtained (only after Mogu'shan Vault is released) to speed up the reputation process.

The August Celestials - This reputation is completely driven by daily quests. Sage Whiteheart/Sage Lotusbloom in your faction's capital city will give you a breadcrumb quest to send you to the active daily quest hub for the day, which is one of the four temples in Pandaria.
