I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've started this quest multiple times now. Killed Vorath's mortal form, used the ranseur, and he morphed into the beast form. Then Liadrin stops fighting, and Vorath keeps summoning spirit ravens to heal him faster than I can burn them down. I didn't see that mechanic even show up in the tutorial vid. Is there something I'm missing, or is this bugged?

EDIT -- I tried it again on another toon (a prot palli this time), and hit the same wall. Phase 2, NPCs stop fighting, can't get him below 50% because of multiple ravens healing faster than you can burn them down. It says nothing about this being a group quest, the quest gives no clue as to how to finish him. This is absolutely infuriating.

By far the hardest quest just for a cosmetic item and a mount, You can't solo him during the second phase with some classes, I recommend getting a group.

Managed to kill him and use the weapon on his corpse. Then he ascended into the sky, respawned as an unattackable mob, then reverted back to his OG form and i'm back at stage 1? Seems really bugged right now...

Questline starts in Oribos at Lady Liadrin near the teleport to Orgrimmar.
You need to be exalted with 실버문 to get this.

설명 듣기 - watch dialogue
포위당한 트랜퀼리엔 - click the portal next to you
- kill 15 enemies
- click Protection Ward and defeat Vorath. Go west to 45.41 35.15 and repeat it. To north at 44.99 30.84 and again.
- leave the building, take the stairs on your right. Collect the weapon
- go to Bastion, you can take the teleport to Orgrimmar behind the quest giver
- go to Maldraxxus
Bastion:
정정당당한 경주 - click dialogue to start the race. Start running and click the yellow bells on your way
Travel to Maldraxxus, entrance at 45.88 45.07
불공평한 전투 - click dialogue to start the fight, defeat Frisson. Talk to Fightlord San after that
유령의 땅으로 귀환 - return to Tristessa (Oribos > Orgrimmar > Silvermoon)
- go to the marked area and mount the Thalassian Warstrider. Click your extra button 장창 휘두르기 for aoe. You can also use your normal abilities. Fill the bar
- kill Vorath. Move him to the other crystal if the areas are growing too much. Click the extra button on his corpse and kill Vorath
This quest rewarded 장막에 물든 장창 (this may depend on whether you can wield polearms or maybe only for paladins).
혈기사 - return to Silvermoon and get 신출귀몰한 에메랄드 매타조. 성기사s also receive 복장: 혈기사의 헌신.

Questline took about 40 minutes (incl. flight paths) with itemlevel 230.

This quest has to be bugged on Live..
I get Vorath into his 2nd form.. get him down to around ~30% health and then he just resets himself and despawns.
I've sat around waiting for respawn but he doesn't so I have to abandon the quest and leave the area until the quest (!) pops back up at the gate with Liadrin.

I'm only like iLvl 130 on my Paladin (Freshly levelled) so this fight takes ages as a weak Prot Pala.. super irritating having him just reset and despawn for no reason..

All of this just for Transmog lol.

It's possible to group kill him, I made party in premade grops under Questing and we killed him, that's 100 % better than solo him :D

This quest was torture on my lv 60 hunter (ilvl 114--I realize its low but I got excited for the questing not realizing how difficult this would be). She's freshly 60 HOWEVER who ever thinks that the NPCs may drop aggro? Something else I found is that pets don't hold aggro after the npcs give up either. I don't really understand why this quest is meant to be this way, but it does appear I'm not the only one with this issue.

Where's the report player option for sabotage for Lady Liadrin? lol

Die. Run 1000 yards in a no-fly zone. Repeat this until you get fed up and ragequit.

This quest was terrible.
Of course, I went in with a fresh 60 just like others mentioned.
I died several times while battling Vorath and while the run back (like 1100 yards or something) was horrible, it was nice to see that he kept the progress and didn't totally refill his health. The purple balls he throws HURT. Make sure to move out of the way. After about 6 times I finally killed him and used the weapon on his corpse. If that wasn't infuriating enough, he then resurrected and changed form. There went my joy.
The second form is a pain. I tried a few times and decided to do what the other commentors mentioned and get better gear. Just make sure you get the gear BEFORE you try phase II because it totally reset on me. The ravens will heal him so try to make sure to get those as soon as you can.
After getting better gear it definitely made it easier.

This has got to be one of the most infuriating, and badly designed quests in all of retail wow at the moment. I came here solely to see if I was doing something horribly wrong, but NO, the quest is just extremely badly tuned, and I could just BARELY nick his HP off a few percent at a time, and trying to move and kill the small adds that heal him, makes him follow, and they just regenerate his HP, making it completely useless to even try. Your best bet is to just stand there for like 10 minutes, knocking his HP off, a few percent at a time.

Greetings all.

I've just spent a fair time, like everyone else, trying to get this done.

And I have found a way.

Liandra is already pulling Vorath in his new form. DON'T add yourself to the mix.
Instead, concentrate on the ravens that appear.
Kill those, and then smack Vorath around a little if you can't shift threat.

If your alt can disappear/vanish/remove threat, then smack him so much that it pulls him, then use that talent to get him back onto Liandra.
Concentrate on the ravens whilst you wait for your anti-threat cooldown to clear, then do it again.
And keep going like this until he's dead.

It does take an age, but it does work as I found out on my 12th attempt.

As to why it's not as easy as the Dark Iron dwarf mount? If someone has an answer to that question, I'd love to know.

Don't do what I do and port into a dungeon or battleground as soon as you kill him. When I got back, he was reset and Liandra was not willing to let me turn in my quest so I had to do it all over again.

Go with a group or git gud, cuz this is one hell of a fight! It is solo-able, but it's a ROUGH fight. Be patient, fight smart, and try not to die cuz it's a looong run back. Good luck!

This is a b.s. quest, imho for what you're getting. I don't mind running around and NPCs leaving you out in the boonies "cya back in the no fly zone of Tranquillen - just a few short hops from Bastion". I like longish quest chains. I don't mind dying to mechanics to learn them. I don't like overly hard fights that certain classes struggle with or were designed for a group, yet doesn't state that, and especially do not like NPCs that reset or are buggy.

The resets for Lady Liandrin & Vorath after fighting him for what seems like forever. She reset once and sat there the whole time waving her sword doing ZERO, but it's not a bug apparently. He reset as I was kiting him away from the ravens - so my fault I guess. Silly me, I thought it was a fun quest to get some flavor gear/mount! The Dark Iron one was a breeze in comparison!

I put in a ticket with CS asking if this was "working as intended" and dutifully waited for a week - as customers are a priority! This is the response:

So resetting isn't a bug, just get a group. I don't recollect the quest saying "bring friends, as you know the AI NPCS will do zero"!

Guess I should be glad Blizz could bother to respond at all, as the original CS auto-response was check WoWHead (which I had done before attempting getting CS help).

*** Thank you to all that experienced similar "non-bug" issues. Not bothering to put in a bug report as it's apparently not one.

Just completed this quest today. Unfortunately when I did it, it was bugged for turn-in. Had to exit game to trigger the "?" to appear. So if anyone in the future runs into the same problem after defeating Vorath and there's no turn in marker, just log out and back in again and it should pop up.

So I was stupid and saw this quest up while cleaning up quests on my alt Holy Paladin...

What I managed to do in Vorath's Second phase was just kite him around the middle green pull and eventually he died. I couldn't AOE the birds down fast enough as Holy so kiting non stop around the green pool worked with glimmer+shocks+wrath and crusader strike spam. Maybe this can help undergeared or new Paladins to do it, and I have to add that once I started kiting, it didn't take long to get him down.

Absolutely overtuned though.

She says to use the ranseur on his body when I kill him but i dont see the ranseur anywhere. Its not in my bags. I dont see it on the ground. Where am I supposed to get it?

So I just completed this on a fresh 60 BE paladin and the thing that definitely helped was kiting him around a large area (below the hill area, where he spawns basically) and just keep damaging him and avoiding the healing crows. I also had to buy gear from the AH to do enough damage. I tried as protection but it didn't really work. Liadrin stopped attacking when he got to 85% in second form and just went and stood in her original position. I wasn't about to try to reset the quest again, so I just kited.

God damn this was stupid. Off to do the easier dark iron one, apparently.

Just managed this on a fresh 60 Belf Ret. Paladin (ilvl 159). It is still bull%^&*.

That purple ball he fires off just one shot me. So, after two attempts and growing tired of the 2-minute runback I switched up my "strategy". I have never kited anything as a paladin before but thankfully I took all the increase range talents in the tree. I just ran around backwards throwing Judgments and Blade of Justice mixed in with whatever wasn't on cooldown. I ignored the ravens when they showed up and just kept kiting through both phases.

As I newly minted 60 who had earned 20 levels through mining I had very bad gear and couldn't even focus on the adds as suggested in other comments because I couldn't kill them fast enough. I didn't want to level\gear up further though so I just pulled and let Liadrin tank it for 20 min or so and then I could dps down slowly without pulling aggro. Hope this helps someone else lazy.
