Like with past expansions, this is a permanent version of Crystallized Augment Rune.

This requires Renown 18 with the The K'aresh Trust faction to unlock the ability to buy this from Om'sirik for 100,000g currently (PTR price subject to change)

This is a warband wide unlock once hitting R18, but each character will still have to spend the 100k to purchase one.

I don't get it, the LoU Renown mounts had basically negligible prices, why are they returning to giving reputation items a prohibitive gold cost after you have already farmed the reputation? Sure, the cost is amortized after around 100 uses of the item (at current prices) but that implies that you'd be willing to buy and use runes in the first place.
Despite the Warband system, this means I will only buy this on my main, and not on alts.

Yeah it might pay for itself on your main, but lets say I want it for 10 of 36 alts I have, that's 1M gold. I would bet that not all 10 would get 10 uses out of it to pay for itself as stated below. This is just hypothetical but the whole concept is ridiculous. Maybe Blizz just thought only one per account would be used so as to extricate as much gold as possible out of one sale. Bottom line it's still a penalty and if so, can we just skip the rep grind and just charge us out right? I'm more and more not liking the new content. Player housing is going to be a gold sink biotch!

I'm shocked to see the amount of people complaining about this cost.

Augment runes are mostly used by CE raiders. My own personal breakdown thus far in the season. I raid 3 nights a week for a total of 9 weekly hours.

Pulls this season: 345
Cost of Ethereal Augment Rune: 100,000g
Average US realm cost of Crystallized Augment Rune: 1,100g
Total cost to rune every pull (so far): 379,500g

Total savings (so far): 379,500g-100,000g = 279,500g

and it only keeps going up from there. I'm stoked. In two more weeks I can buy this on 3 different alts and still have a net zero cost.

Seriously though, every time you click this item you're saving 1,100g. If you don't plan on using the item 100 times, it's not meant for you anyway.

For those still too new to the game to understand how to read WoW Tooltips; "Sell Price" is what YOU get back from a Vendor after the item is of no further use...!

We've been so screwed by Blizzard in the past, it's hard to trust them at all. Anyone know if this insanely overpriced POS is going to work in Midnight, or be disables?

With Midnight incoming you might want to sell this back to a vendor. Atm you get back 20k gold for it and with Blizzard nerfing prices in the past I'm not sure how long this will stay 20k

This is now showing 2 main stat instead of 6. The dragonflight rune also is 2 main stat... GGS #$%^&*!@#

I just "love" stat squishes and how this now gives 6 of your primary stat for 100.000 gold,
while Repurposed Fel Focuser gives you 5 of your primary stat AND 7 stamina for 7500 Nethershard

(or for free if you just kept it since Legion like me, as it never got rendered useless with increasing levels like other perma-runes)

Okay it says + 6 but if u hover over your buff it says + 2 i just scammed myself of 100k gold :)))
if u remove buff it deducts exactly + 2 primary stat
BEWARE AND DONT BUY THIS

As always Blizzard screwed up and even if tooltip says +6 is only +2 agility buff. Self scammed for 100k. Hope they'll fix this and the buff goes up to +6 or it's totally worthless

just for fun you can use Oralius' Whispering Crystal which gives 6 stats and can actually be used at the same time as Ethereal Augment Rune or better yet it works together with Dreambound Augment Rune which currently also gives +6 stats. Oralius Crystal is obtained from a level 3 Inn quest from the WoD Garisson.
