N.b. As of 7/29/2013 (ptr) this vanity item does allow the collection of Bloody Coins, has an instant cast time, half the cooldown time for reapplication (5 minutes), and does not reduce your health once cast. However, you will Not be Neutral with the mobs of the island as you are with using Censer of Eternal Agony. For the sake of farming rares and items on the island I will continue to use Censer of Eternal Agony.

Perhaps they will add the same neutral aspect before 5.4 goes live but I wanted to post this forewarning before you get side tracked farming 50 Bloody Coins for it.

Will this item be usable in Battlegrounds? As there are no restrictions in the Use effect as to where it can be used. Would be great if someone could confirm the fact and post it on here. Everyone would benefit from that information. Also, if I'm grouped with some other players, will they also be hostile to me or will it be like in the Darkmoon/Stranglethorn Arena where you can't attack party members? Please confirm and share! =)

This item allows you to collect Bloody Coin from PVP kills anywhere and without being hostile to your own faction. You are now guaranteed to recieve a coin on killing blow, and the cooldown is reduced to just 10 minutes. These changes make it virtually identical to the pre-nerf Censer of Eternal Agony - the only differences being you can't kill your own faction, that you can use it anywhere and that it does not debuff the victim with Sacrificed to Ordos.

The price has also been greatly reduced, from 50 Bloody Coin to a miniscule 100 Timeless Coin.

With Timeless Isle fading from current content and the Censer receiving nerfs, this serves as its open-world replacement and will likely be the only meaningful way of obtaining Bloody Coins after MoP.

With a 10min duration and 60min cooldown it will be difficult to get the title "Fire-Watcher", through regular pvp only, as opposed to Timeless Isle world pvp. If the 30% is on killing blows. That means you need 30'000 Killing Blows in bgs under that buff! Being 1/6 of the time. That equals to 180'000 Killing Blows in normal pvp. Which itself equals to about half a millions hks for a decent player. That's barely what I got on my character from 2009 to 2013.

Yes Timeless Isle, but I'm not gonna be PvPing on that isle. Granted with 10% health only, it will be a blood bath.
But it's not worth dying for this title, "Fire-Watcher X", not that good. Why would you want to watch a fire ? And you certainly don't want to tell the enemy you're watching a fire.

Terrible item and not worth the price.

Prevents mounting and the drop rate of coins is a joke (nowhere near the 30% quoted below). You can go the entire 10 minute window making steady kills and not netting a single coin.

Save your coins. This item is a real lemon.

good luck or congratulations to you if you get this on a pve server, people (on my server at least) will group and basically raid group you if you use the censor, and since they fixed it to where you and a friend cant just keep killing each even though they implemented the debuff it's nigh impossible to get on a pve server :/ oh well theres another mushan beast i wont be receiving be nice if blizz would actually do a pvp thing like this properly one can dream i suppose

This item is nearly useless for getting coins from Battlegrounds. I just bought it and used it in a WSG.
The result was:
- We seemed to be dominating the BG immediately so I used the item
- You can't mount, when you are transformed. Really.
- We won 3/0 and I got 78 HKs, 16 KBs (Kill Shot ftw)
- I received 1 coin.

It's pretty usefull. Just use it, go around and get killingblows with Censer of Eternal Agony. But when the buff has run out, go up and sell it again and get your coins back. That way you can get extra coins without losing any.

This is one of the very few transformation items that aren't affected by Druid's Shapeshifting. Whatever form you've morphed into, you will still have the Yaungol skin - and the buff won't be removed, great item for confusing your opponents, especially as a Feral ^^

Sometime since 5.4.1 though it may have been a hotfix, the drop rate on the coins has clearly increased. It seems a lot closer to the 30% originally reported. I was getting 10% up until very recently, but now I've been getting more coins long enough that it can't be a fluke. It's got to be an undocumented change.

While this item may suck, one has to consider that if you wish to get the 500 coins needed for the mount, and they're not easily farmed on PVE realms without many people flagged, it's highly possible many will not get there in time before new content is released and the island is largely empty, making it essentially impossible to find flagged people to kill.

I've also noticed that the droprate for Bloody Coins on Darkmoon Island, during Moonfang Kills, is much higher than elsewhere. Could be rng but it's happened quite a bit so worth using on a Moonfang kill.

Although you DO need the killing blow for a chance at a coin, your target doesn't need to award honor.
I had my friend create a new Alliance toon and met him at a graveyard, and killed him as fast as he could rez for the 10 mins of the buff. Here's the numbers we got:

Sometimes I would get 3 or 4 coins within 10 kills. Often, I'd go 20-25 kills without a coin.

Since the buff from this item DOES NOT PERSIST THROUGH DEATH, "honorable" PvP risks losing the buff and having to wait for the 60 min CD. If you can't safely kill upwards of 20 players in the 10 min buff duration, you risk wasting the CD for no coins.

Because of these drawbacks, the item encourages "griefing." You could go find a large gathering of lowbies to slaughter, but since you need such high kill numbers to produce a decent coin yield, spawn-camping is probably going to prove much more efficient and safer. Either way, "dishonorable" PvP is the most effective use of this item, and is going to be a solid choice for players on PvE or low-pop servers.

I understand that farming coins is otherwise restrained to Timeless Isle; being able to farm them anywhere else in the world, while not having to turn on your own faction, makes this item potentially very powerful, and it needs drawbacks to keep it balanced. Increasing the drop rate, increasing the duration, decreasing the cooldown, or having the buff persist through death are all simple changes that could keep the item fair, while increasing the item's appeal and giving players an ("honorable") alternative to spending months on the Timeless Isle.

I was wondering if the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff prevented all earning of Bloody Coins, or if Fire-Watcher's Oath would still allow a person to gain them.

To test this, I did the following:

Enlisted a willing guinea pig, and had them flag. (We were the same faction, PvE server)
I used Censer of Eternal Agony, killed them, and received a Bloody Coin.
The person rezzed as I then used Fire-Watcher's Oath.
I killed the person (now with Sacrificed to Ordos) again and received another Bloody Coin!

I'm not sure how helpful this is to most people, but as I was curious, I decided to post it in case others found it useful.

As someone who has two accounts on the same PvP server, I found farming with the Oath to be faster than with the Censer.

Take a low-level, opposite-faction character to a deserted graveyard. Have your high-level use the Oath, then kill the low level repeatedly, with them continually using the spirit rez. I ended up using the full ten minutes shooting down a level 50 warrior and got 17 coins - far faster than killing your target and waiting ten minutes before you can get a second coin from them.

Obviously, the Censer will be faster on a populated PvP server... but otherwise, I'd highly recommend the Oath, if you can find someone to take the hits for you.

Edit: nerfed to the ground. Not only does the Censer only work with level 90 characters now, but it will often apply the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff.

Looks like they just altered the CD's on this to be 10 minutes and increased the censer to 60 minutes. Looks like Blizzard wants to encourage bg farming instead of Timeless Isle farming. Or at least opposite faction farming.

Now it costs 100 Timeless Coins and has 10 minute cooldown, can be used while mounted, no longer has internal cooldown on giving coins and has 100% chance to give coins.

It grants coins ~~regardless of target level~~ if you kill players if your level or above. It ignores "honorless target" debuff. It does not give debuff.

Get your level 90 friend of opposite faction to graveyard, remove all his gear and repeatedly kill him. He should resurrect at spirit healer after each death. It should grant you a coin every few seconds.

Without the 10-sec ICD now, I am able to farm more than 60 coins/hour by graveyard camping a L1 alt on a second account.
So you're still looking at ~9 hours for the mount.

On the bright side, however, you might as well use it in your BGs now due to the 10min CD, especially Isle of Conquest. Also, as of June 12th, you CAN now mount while using this item. (This is a very recent change.

Now costs 100 Timeless Coin and has 10min CD.
It is along with a stealth nerf of Censer of Eternal Agony that now has 1hours CD. This nerf may be the solution Blizzard has found to prevent us from farming coins at the timeless isle alongside with giving us an opportunity for farming it - ~~with at least 10 times more effort and pain~~ - when WoD comes out.

EDIT: Now has a 100% drop rate from PvP kill and allows mount. (Possibly a stealth patch again since I did not hear of it until when I tried again)

This item now has a 10 minute duration and a 10 minute buff, and the Internal Cooldown has all but been removed.

Which means if you want bloody coins as fast as possible you're going to want this macro:

/run RepopMe()AcceptXPLoss()

Step 1: Create a trial account or log on whatever alt account you have access to.
Step 2: With the alt account, run a character of the opposite faction into a neutral zone with all of its gear in the bank.
Step 3: Kill the alt with your main right next to the spirit rez.
Step 4: Take the spirit rez with the alt manually once, then start using the macro above.
Step 5: Something Something Multi-boxing Tons of Alts, Same button as your non-targeted AoE spell.
Step 6: ?
Step 7: Profit

Edit: Looks like Blizz caught on pretty fast and hotfixed killing sub-90s for Bloody Coins.

The Fire-Watcher's Oath can be purchased from Speaker Gulan for 100 Timeless Coins on the Timeless Isle. Both, the buff as well as the cooldown for this item is 10 minutes. The intent of this item is to have players use it to collect Bloody Coins in a battleground rather than solely on the Timeless Isle. Additionally, players can now mount up with the buff activated.

Hotfix Information

The cliff notes for the change are as follows:
-- The cooldown for the Censer of Eternal Agony has been increased to 60 minutes (up from a 10 minute cooldown)
-- This is due to the gear difference within the island (so many people leveling alts)
-- The cost of Fire-Watcher's Oath has changed from 100 Bloody Coins to 100 Timeless Coins
-- Blizzard now prefers players to get their Bloody Coins from battlegrounds using Fire-Watcher's Oath
-- The drop rate of the Bloody Coin has been increased to 100% per Killing Blow (up from roughly 10%) while buff is active

Class and Spec Notes
Hunters: I can confirm that your pet will "steal" your Bloody Coin if it gets the killing blow. I assume the same is true for mages and warlocks.
Healers: Given that the Bloody Coin requires a killing blow, some sort of dot or instance cast spell may be an option.

Testing Information
Below, I tested the Fire-Watcher's Oath using a level 14-17 Rogue to see if there is a chance of attaining Bloody Coins from low level PvP Battlegrounds (as well as world PvP).

07 - WSG Battleground, 13 Killing Blows, 0 Bloody Coins
08 - WSG Battleground, 9 Killing Blows, 0 Bloody Coins

Conclusion: All of the recorded killing blows where while the Fire-Watcher's Oath buff was active. A total of 129 killing blows where delivered and 0 Bloody Coins where acquired from said kills. So, from this I will conclude the benefits of Fire-Watcher's Oath are only available to characters at level 90. Let us take a moment to thank our unknowing and unwilling participants. :)

Conclusion: This data set provides information of 415 low-level world killing blows with a yield of 0 Bloody Coins. Therefore, I will conclude "lowbies" do not benefit from Fire-Watcher's Oath. Sad times.

Hopefully, this will save people some time and effort of getting a "lowbie" (or twink) to the Timeless Isle in the hopes that low level PvP killing blows will produce Bloody Coins. As of now, it seems true that this item will only work for 90's on 90's, but I will continue my tests for the sake of confirmation.

Something fun, if you are a Monk and use the Oath and then use Zen Pilgrimage you will start doing the Male Human dance, also works with Zen Meditation

Update 1: Also the port location (clone) of Transcendence dances continuously if you have the Oath active.

Update 2: Also even more fun; Oath combined with Zen Flight, allows you to do the Human Male dance while flying through the air. Submitted a Screenshot.

Today I bought this item along with the Censer of Eternal Agony on my lvl 10 character. As the Timeless Coins are really easy to farm from rare mobs you can easily buy these items at any lvl aslong as you're able to get to the Timeless Isle. I had a friend take me on his 2-seat flying mount to the flight path at the isle. The hard part is getting to the vendor as there are tons of mobs roaming the isle. Most mobs aggro from far distances but you can always "res-run" meaning you move as far ahead from your corpse as you possible can when you res in order to get further. You will die several times at a low lvl while you can survive fairly alright at a higher lvl. You can bring a friend with you to clear the road ahead of you but there will nearly always be atleast one mob aggroing to kill you. Once you reach the vendor, grab the two items quickly, both of them can be used at lvl 1 and will give you Bloody Coins, although, only the Fire-Watcher's Oath will be an efficient way to earn Bloody Coins under lvl 90 because of the fact that you will only be able to earn Bloody Coins while being on the isle with Censer of Eternal Agony and the Fire-Watcher's Oath can be used anywhere. ~~I haven't tested either of them in pvp yet but I'm sure they will work as intended no matter the lvl you are.~~ I have now tested the Fire-Watcher's Oath and it seems they removed the ability to get Bloody Coins from players under lvl 90. NOTE: Before you head to the vendor, make sure you got atleast 1100x Timeless Coin as the Fire-Watcher's Oath costs 100 Timeless Coins and the Censer of Eternal Agony costs 1000 Timeless Coins. If you got any questions about how this works just reply to the comment bellow and I will answer your questions as soon as possible aslong as I'm able to answer them.

Edit: It seems you can only earn Bloody Coins by killing lvl 90+ players with the new Hotfix, I'm really disappointed by this as it would be better if the Bloody Coins would drop off of players yielding honor points rather than restrict it to lvl 90s+. I hope Blizzard will fix it and make it abliable for anyone, even those under lvl 90.

Has anyone been able to get bloody coins off of farming low level characters recently? The morning after they changed this to be 100 Timeless Coins I got 111 coins killing a level 1 alt over and over for about an hour. When I came back from work that same day (and ever since) I've gotten zero.

Oath now gives you 100% chance to obtain a Bloody Coin from a killing blow on opposite faction level 90+ characters only (after last hotfixes), regardless if target is worth no honor. Targets with Resurrection Sickness used to give coins, but no longer do.

Leaving this outdated info for the sake of timeline:

Graveyard camping a 2nd account (or friend) works fine for this, just find some convenient graveyard you can camp at for a while.
If you choose to try this route, then the following macro will be very useful on 2nd (kill target) account:
/run RepopMe() RetrieveCorpse()
/run RepopMe() AcceptResurrect() AcceptXPLoss()

You will need to manually rez once from the spirit healer by releasing spirit & clicking accept 2 times at spirit healer, after that you can hit this macro to instant release -> run into range of the spirit healer & hit macro again to instant rez.

I just did some testing and can confirm the 100% drop off of the opposing faction. as long as the player is 90 they seem to give honor with no obvious setbacks. this is the happy ending that everyone wanted. there is no real cooldown on the coins you get so you can farm these to your hearts content in both bgs and the open world. no more griefing the new players of timeless isle. :)

And to those who are wondering, yes, the halaa trade killing method works just fine.

Gurubashi Arena for farming your 90 allies. Your victim puts all his armor in the bank, spirit rezzes and flies back in to die again at half health. Repeat ad nauseum for 3 coins per minute. Bring more victims for a higher drop rate.

Note that dying loses the buff, so straight kill trading won't work, except in 10 minute bursts of being the killer. I'm guessing dying in BGs causes the same partial downtime, so this might be more efficient.

The price was changed to 100 Timeless Coins, so you don't have to burn Bloody Coins to make Bloody Coins.

Also does not trigger PVP with your own faction much like Censer of Eternal Agony and with a 10 min buff and 10 min CD you can pretty much keep it up 24/7, as long as you don't die. For some amount of time, it was possible to get a coin for open-world kills on res sick targets, without any effects of the recently sacrificed debuff. That appears to have ended on 6/23.

For anyone that was graveyard farming this with a friend, it has been nerfed into the ground. After farming up nearly 5k coins for friends and guildies with my alt, there has been a ninja hotfix to this item that gives the kill target the 10 min debuff that the censer of agony gives on the isle. You can still BG farm with this and can still gank with it but you cannot kill the same person over and over. It was fun while it lasted, but it sucks that i did not finish the 2k cheeve for myself before doing it for others. Now I get to sit in AV with the rest of you trying to snipe killing blows.

This item has VERY glitchy animations for Monks. Cast Transcedense or whatever that spirit-splitting spell is, and your clone is doing a few loops of the human male dance. It's hilarious! Oh, and your missing some kicking animations.

What i can gather from my testing, is that killing a player in the open world will grant a coin and not apply the debuff, that the Censor does, as long as the target does not have Res Sickness (in the case they do, they wont grant coins).

Also, farming a graveyard in Wintergrasp, to reduce the waiting time to 30secs from 2mins, will now apply the 10min debuff, Sacrificed to Ordos.

You can incur the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff. I have been farming coins with a buddy back and forth all morning at Gurabashi arena. Sometimes it goes as much as 10 kills before appearing. Fighting back, or simply stnding still do not seem to have any bearing so perhaps it acts as a procced debuff.

I've found that I was able to kill someone repeatedly in Wintergrasp, with that person using the spirit rezzer and NOT getting the sacrificed debuff, by using the cannon. I was working on http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1751. I still got coins for each kill.

Rather unimportant/useless, but still valid information. Combining this with the Monk's Glyph of Zen Flight results in the Monk/Ordon doing the human /dance animation, despite the fact that the Ordon uses the Tauren animation set. However, this was only tested on a human Monk, so it's possible that It can adopt other /dance animations If the Monk's race is different.

Edit: It appears as though the Ordon does indeed use the human dance animation, regardless of whether or not the monk is a human. In addition, Transcendence also triggers the effect, and looking at your Transcendence "clone" from behind shows the animation practically breaking your Ordon's legs.

What am I missing? I'm using the Oath, I'm killing opposite faction (ed: level 90) toons... yet I still only have the lone Bloody Coin I got the one time I used the Censer, two months ago.

Did they kill the guaranteed 100% drop rate? Is it not 100% outside bg's, but not noted as such? argh.

Edit 2: Target toon must also be worth honor; I'm relatively certain it was res sickness that was causing the coins not to drop.

Using the Wintergrasp cannons or vehicles to kill someone doesn't give them the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff. In an early morning WG this means you can take your coin farmer, kill off the enemy NPCs on the central bridge until you get First Lieutenant, then grab a demo and roll it over to an enemy graveyard to farm kills from someone willing to die fifty times in 25 minutes.

Have your companion rez, then jump off the platform that grants them damage immunity. Use both the ram and cannon attacks, and you can kill a naked level 90 before the spirit healer fires off the next 30 sec rez. Two coins a minute, per willing victim.

The only hazards are, of course, other players. Try to aim for a time of day when it's not busy, keep far out of the way, and if anyone realizes what you're doing and objects, just let them know that for your presence there's also someone on the other side not participating so it balances out anyway.

The worst thing for Alliance, and best thing for Horde about this item is if you miss one graveyard revive, you get that kick timer. So you HAVE to let yourself be camped or get deserter.

The Fire-Watcher's Oath - Item used to cost 50 bloody coins but on September 11 2014 I found it at the Timeless Isle vender Speaker Gulan for only 100 Timeless coins!
Almost all of my characters are on a Normal server so I don't spend much time at all doing pvp anymore so I don't have good enough gear to use this Item in Battlegrounds, cause when you get killed you have to wait for the 10 minute timer to go off to attempt using it again. And sence we have 2 Wow accounts we then took it to Wintergrasp to test it with my alliance character against one of my wife's simi-naked (for a quick kill) Horde toons, and sense Wintergrasp has graveyards that can rez you every 30 seconds regardless of how may times your toon has recently died I found that with the way I set up the positions I could get a bloody coin every 30 seconds from the same enemy character!
Thing is if you don't have 2 accounts in your family find a friend that you can trade all the required deaths with to get enough bloody coins for the achieves and the pet and mount.
Sometimes a target killed even in Wintergrasp get that darn 10minute timer put on them that keep you from getting a coin until the timer goes away.
I think I may have been too close to the graveyard when I was killing her toon. Make sure you step far enough away from the graveyard before you start the kill.
I have read the Fire-Watcher's Oath item and it is now different from the one we read from Wowhead.Use: Transform into an Ordon Fire-Watcher. PvP kills made while transformed have a chance to grant Bloody Coins. (1 Hour Cooldown) the main difference now is the item says (10 minute cooldown). And the cost is 100 Timeless coins instead of 50 Bloody Coins. So you can click on it again right after it stops working and start over again immediately!
Its an awful lot of grinding to get the 500 coin achieve but you can spend the 500 bloody coins on the Mount "Reins of the Ashhide Mushan Beast" and that makes is a little worth it! And now that I got the 500 Bloody coin achieve the next one showed up, 1000 Bloody Coins.

Fun thing about this: After use it you can use another item that transforms your character such as Darkspear Pride or Iron Boot Flask then you'll still have the pinkish glow on the transformed form. Not working with the wolvar guy unfortunately.

I made a list of gimmick items which you can use to transform your character into a different form or race or even gender to play around with. I didn't add items like weapons that provide a procc with a transform effect that only lasts a few seconds even though I know about them. My intention was to list all items with controlable transformations. Feel free to let me know if I missed an item!

Looks like it's been changed to a 10% chance to grant Bloody Coins in the WoD pre-patch.

Pretty hefty nerf from 100%. Need 5000 killing blows (excluding Holy Priests etc) instead of 500 now just for the mount.

Not sure about 10% but I got 22 killing blows in av yesterday and today and have got zero coins. I had assumed it was just yet another bug and wasn't dropping them anymore but there's no way its a 10% chance.

As of 6.0, Fire-Watcher's Oath doesn't stack with Censer of Eternal Agony anymore.
When using Censer first and then Oath, the Oath buff removes/replaces the Censer buff - and the other way around if Oath is used first.

Killed a friend 3 times in 6.0.3, every time got a sacrificed to ordos debuff, so farming a friend seems to have been nerfed/fixed (Or I had terrible luck).

I just farmed the coins for the mount using the Fire-Watcher's Oath and the Halaa method (standing in an enemy graveyard with a willing person from the enemy faction who then spirit rezzes after each kill). If you are on a server where Timeless Isle is empty, you could avoid the need for spirit rezzes with the auto-rezzing graveyards on Timeless Isle, but this would slow down coin farming somewhat. We also found that, given the large number of people that are normally on Timeless Isle on my server, it worked much better to go somewhere more remote and simply spirit rez. Just remember to leave your gear in the bank first so that you avoid the hefty repair bill.

What I did notice that has not been mentioned here (unless I missed it) is that there seems to be a small chance of giving the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff with each kill. On average, I got about 20 kills before giving the debuff, but it was definitely a matter of RNG. The longest streak of kills I got without triggering the debuff was 77 kills, and the shortest was 9. Once they received the debuff, we both just took a 10 minute break. I suspect that this is either a bug, or it is intentional in order to discourage using the Halaa farm method. I have submitted a question on this point and will update with the GM reply here.

I can confirm that the item once again grants a Bloody Coin on a killing blow every time. Also, at least outside of BGs, it has a very high chance of putting the Sacrificed to Ordos debuff on your victim, not 100% of the time but definitely more than 50%.

Update: After over a hundred kills with nearly every one causing the debuff, either Blizz put in a hotfix or I'm on a lucky streak bc I've just gone 60 straight without getting the debuff.

Further update: OK it's really weird. From my experience it appears getting the debuff can depend on where you are standing! My lucky streak started when I got lazy and just stood in melee range next to where the toon I was farming rezzed, never moving. Went to grab some ore, came back to a slightly different position (still in melee), and the debuff happened. Went back to the exact spot I had been in and never moved again and haven't gotten the debuff in over 50 kills.

Final update: Standing precisely at 74.55, 26.67 in a Blade's Edge Mountains graveyard I farmed at least 1500 coins over the past 4 days without incurring the sacrificed debuff on my victim. So either I was incredibly lucky or there are 'safe spots' where you do not incur the debuff.

Insane way to farm bloody coins at the moment, AND do a public service at the same time!

If you're an alliance player, Head over to Twilight Highlands with a Fire-Watcher's Oath go to Bloodgulch.

Now, at the eastern entrance to this horde base there is a vendor called Naka Scaleblade, you will notice LOADS of lvl90 hunters with weird names swarming around her, these hunters are botters.

Kill the vendor, and also kill the other vendor called Raug. If you're worried this will be classified as griefing, don't be, these vendors are not important and horde players can simply use any of the other vendors nearby, however the botters are programmed to only go to these 2.

Proceed to farm the living hell out of these botters, they respawn very fast and they will not attack you.

I was able to get an average of 120-200 bloody coins per hour farming these botters.

Ridding azeroth of scum and getting free bloodycoins for it, GLORIOUS!

I've been working on my mount collection a long time & at the moment I'm at 247 so I decided to go for the 500 bloody coin mount, I got my boyfriend to stand at a graveyard on the timeless isle so I could kill him a bunch of times (2 kills per minute because of the 30 sec respawn timer so 120 coins per hour) I'm at 260 coins and he hasn't had a single debuff so far so it must have a very low chance to proc on somebody because I'm not doing anything special to avoid it. No 10 minute breaks makes this quite a fast mount to farm aslong as you have somebody on the other side willing to die a lot for you :) Goodluck

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but everytime I use Fire-Watcher's Oath, I get a message saying I've lost my Lord/Lady of War title, which is obtained by completing the The Last of Us achievement. Whenever I cancel the effect or it wears off, I get a new message saying I got the title back. Don't know if unique to this item or if there are others that cause the same effect.

I just confirmed with a friend as we were testing some theories out about this item and what seemed to have triggered the debuff. We came to discover if you are a melee class and seem to kill the enemy that you are farming in melee range, it seemed to trigger the 10 minute debuff

HOWEVER, if you kill from a ranged distance (example: mage with frostbolt, or rogue with throwing daggers, warrior with shatter throw), you can get the kill, get the bloody coin, and it does not seem to trigger the debuff. Confirmed that we did not trigger a debuff within 1400 kills in one sitting....

No idea if this is intended or not, between killing in melee having a chance to trigger the debuff, or ranged not triggering it.

EDIT: As of 27/10/16 - this has been hot-fixed to once again allow Fire-Watcher's Oath to be used in battlegrounds.

As of Patch 7.1 Fire-Watcher's Oath, among many other 'USE' effect items, can no longer be used in a battleground.

I imagine this will make Bloody Coin farming unbearable now.

After some testing, I have confirmed that you can use Fire-Watcher's Oath before entering the battleground and maintain the buff, although once inside it cannot be refreshed.

Also noting that, Odd Polished Stone can still be used as normal in battlegrounds.

Let's hope for a fix in an upcoming patch.

Some fun quirk: I thought it would look nice pairing this with Blanchy's Reins, but it made the guy visible on this mount! I've never seen him fully visible. Oh, and after the buff while still sitting on blanchy your regular char will be the same translucent red as blanchy. Neat.

FASTEST WAY TO FARM BLOODY COINS:

1. You and a friend from the opposite faction (or your 2nd account) go to the Spirit Angel at 49.66, 77.93 in the Darkbrul Arena in Highmountain (cave entrance is at 53.80, 76.65) and have your friend stand where the Spirit Angel is. You do NOT have to be on the world quest in order for this technique to work. The Spirit Angel will automatically resurrect you every 30 seconds, bypassing the 2-minute resurrection timer entirely. Type /tar Brick to help find where the Spirit Healer is located inside the cave easier.
2. Use your Fire-Watcher's Oath in order to collect the Bloody Coin needed for your Fire-Watcher achievement/title.
3. Stand at max-range (next to Brick) and kill your friend/self with ranged attacks. Being at max-range will prevent you from getting the 'Sacrified to Ordos' debuff which prevents you from getting another coin for 10 minutes.
