Located in the Halondrus boss encounter area in the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid. Schematic is found by one of the pillar structures in the room where the second phase of the boss encounter happens.

Schematic doesn't spawn until Halondrus is defeated, so no need to attempt to loot it during the fight. Once the boss dies, just run back to the second phase's room and loot the schematic.
After Halondrus dies, once the raid is reset in any way, the walls that separate Halondrus's rooms are lifted once again, rendering this pattern impossible to reach for that lockout.

Once both requirements are complete, go to the coordinates above to unlock the secret Camber Alcove teleporter for the Resonant Peaks. With the teleporter unlocked, get at least 60 Cosmic Energy, go to Gravid Repose, then teleport to the Interior Locus. On the Interior Locus, you will find a second locus shift named Arcae Locus. Use this one to teleport to the Camber Alcove.

Inside the Camber Alcove, you'll see a Prototipo Inerte vehicle. Entering the vehicle will start a minigame. Move the snail prototype through golden rings scattered around the room while avoiding the piles of Sodiate Ash. Getting through 5 golden rings wins the minigame, and the Prototype pattern will be given as a reward. Just loot it from the floor.

With the teleporter unlocked, get at least 60 Cosmic Energy, go to Gravid Repose, then teleport to the Interior Locus. On the Interior Locus, you will find a second locus shift named Arcae Locus. Use this one to teleport to the Rondure Alcove.

Inside the Rondure Alcove, you'll see two orb jumping puzzles and a locked door with a giant arch. The protoform schematic will be located at the top portion of the arch, hidden behind the arch's structure. Either use the jumping puzzles to reach the top of the arch, or a displacement ability like Porta delle Ombre to loot it.

This is the anima token problem all over again except 10x worse. Bag space is already a luxury and they're adding like three dozen new 'crafting' materials that seem to exist for the sole purpose of taking up space. Either they need to make a new resources tab to handle this, or they should be cutting down on how many different types of materials we actually need. Is there any actual reason we need *seventeen* types of lattices besides a dev thinking that more = better?

Just a heads up! The coordinates for Prototickles are wrong - it should be roughly /way 52.2 75.3, not /way 58.4 74.5. (Thanks to zealvurte in the comments for the coords!)

The entrance coordinates to Gravid Repose are not the ones mentioned in regards to the schematic for Bronzewing Vespoid. It is actually 50,64 31,88 which is not even close.

You have Bufonid Lattice listed as a reagent for Patient Bufonid, however, that mount is acquired through a series of daily turn-in quests at Haven.

Update on the Goldplate Bufonid schematic: it can drop from any Accelerated Bufonid, not just the ones near the Sepulchre. I got it today from one of the ones at Hirukon's pool.

I am in but I do not get how this fits into the narrative.
So we practically have to grind out the crap of everything moving in Zereth Mortis.
Taking a step back we have to kill everything in the zone several times over in order to "synthesize" a select few creatures for our personal gain.
This is a terrible thing to do.
Will I do it? Heck yeah, we are talking about "killing" pixels after all. But whoever came up with this mass-genocide system, especially on this scale, probably needs professional help.

Does the UI really allow you re-craft a mount you Already Know? Bad blizz.

I was at the terminal with a bunch of motes, lattices and reagents and it was allowing me to click CRAFT for mounts that I already know. All of these are BOP so that would be a complete and total waste of the farmed mats if the action bar had completed.

Be careful not to craft something you already know!

Since I did not find an addon which would show me my progress (which schematics my char has learnt, which lifeforms the char already has synthesized, which components are in stock in the alt's inv), I put together a googledocs spreadsheet, for me to track my progress and to-do list (now I see my motes backlog, yuck) manually. The spreadsheet is in English language, but the object names can be displayed in English, German, and Spanish (maybe more at some point in the future).

Think twice about crafting the stag at the end of the questline. Wish I saved the mats for something else. You can get a stag from Enlightened revered rep for anima.

Another reason why I really really really HATE Blizzard.

- Motes. Unless I look up specific farm spots, and do some serious dedicated farming, there's no way in hell I'm ever gonna get enough motes. I don't play 24/7, I actually have a life.
- No chance in hell to get most of the schematics, unless using a guide.
- Random RNG bs. I have no idea how many of those caches from the twice-a-week meta quest I have opened, and just now, I FINALLY got the schematic for the Bronze Helicid. RNG hates me - almost always...
- Ridiculous decision to use TONS of different mats for this crap. While at the same time, they flat out REFUSE to give us the option to get some serious bag sizes.

Could someone PLEASE send Blizzard a TON of condoms? We REALLY don't need people like that to reproduce!

For those who have the pet forge unlocked, but find the mount forge not activated, you need to pick up the quest from Tahli in Pilgrim's Grace. Tahli will tell you to grab the Lost Component, which is right there hovering.

Then go to the forge in the building (70.16, 28.60) and activate it by following the quests that require you to pick up the three tools and lattice in the room and turn them in to the questgiver right there.

Does anyone know if you can loot the crafting reagent for a mount without having a schematic known that requires it. For instance, can Tools of Incomprehensible Experimentation drop without knowing any of the 3 mount schematics that require this reagent, but by simply having the mount forge unlocked? Or do you need to know at least 1 schematic requiring the reagent in order to loot it?

I have every schematic unlocked on my main, but have not collected any schematics on 4 other characters, but they have the mount forge unlocked.

I only had mats for 1...

OK, so I went back to ZM, to make some pets I had never gotten to, and tried to farm some Genesis Motes, and got none. Were they removed from the game ? I will be SO upset! **UPDATE** Once I picked up the weekly quest, they started dropping for me. Phew!

idk if i am dumb, but i am trying to get the Unsuccessful Prototype Fleet Pod Schematic. I am in the Interior Locus but when i try to use the other locus in there it says "You cannot use this taxi way currently." idk what I did wrong any help would be much appreciated.

I wish I had worked harder at obtaining the protoform synthesis mounts when SL was the latest xpac. I have an issue now where although I have the mats in my bag, certain mounts which I have NOT crafted (the mounts show up as grayed out and uncollected in my mount list) are locked from being crafted with the error that I have already crafted this mount. I submitted a ticket with blizz and after about a week and a half was told that I need to enter a bug report because they couldn't find this issue anywhere online. Has anyone seen this happen to them? Am I permanently locked out of ever owning a Tarachnid Creeper?

As a brand new player to retail (9/2024) unlocking this is absolutely impossible. I have done over 20 hours in quests and just picked a covenant to join, yet not a single guide can give me a straight answer of how to get to Zererh Mortis besides getting the "Call of the Primus" Quest which I just simply cannot seem to get. Very frustrating for new folks :/

There is an error with Schematic Unsuccessful Prototype Fleetpod

I have completed both items mentioned as requirements: Research: Altonian Understanding and the Achievement A Means to an End.

However, when I arrive at Interior Locus I cannot access the translocator named Arcae Locus to teleport to the Camber Alcove. I receive a "cannot use this taxi error". So I am assuming there is another prerequisite for this that I have missed. Help?
