Midnight Season 2 Augmentation Evoker Cheat Sheet Augmentation Evoker Changes in Midnight Season 2Big Changes

Wingleader has been redesigned - Mass Eruption now reduces the remaining cooldown of Breath of Eons by 1.5 seconds for each target struck.

Upheaval casts by your Duplicate no longer knock enemies into the air.

Double-time has been updated - The additional stats granted when Ebon Might critically strikes now last 15 seconds (modified by Mastery: Timewalker), and Double-time is extended if Ebon Might reapplies it while it is already active. Double-time's functionality with Prescience is unchanged.

Double-time Augmentation Evoker Gameplay in Midnight Season 2

Keep your buffs up: Augmentation's rotation is centered around maximizing uptime of Ebon Might. Sands of Time allows us to extend the duration of Ebon Might through our damaging rotation: casting Upheaval and Fire Breath at appropriate ranks on cooldown, spending resources on Eruption, and filling downtime with Living Flame (or Azure Strike).

Always be casting: Keeping high uptime on your rotational spells is key to maintaining a solid resource economy in both raids and Mythic+. Use Hover effectively to cast spells on the move, and make sure to fill any "downtime" in your rotation with your filler spells, Living Flame and Azure Strike, in order to deal damage and generate Essence Burst.

Watch your Essence Burst: Augmentation Evoker has a few different potential sources of Essence Burst, and the buff only stacks up to 2. Make sure to spend your Essence Burst when capped, ideally before casting Essence Burst generators like Prescience and Living Flame to avoid wasting resources.

Mind your cooldowns: It's often correct to send cooldowns as soon as they've come back up, but look for opportunities to align your major cooldowns like Breath of Eons with allies' cooldowns and big damage moments during an encounter.

Impact of Midnight Season 2 Tier Set for Augmentation Evoker

In Season 1, Augmentation's tier set bonuses provided both direct damage and extra extension on Ebon Might and Duplicate, largely compensating for the lower amount of secondary stats that characters generally have in the first season of a new expansion. Heading into Season 2, players may notice an impact to overall uptime on these buffs as they restart the gearing process in the new season.

The new tier set in Season 2 reduces the cooldown of Upheaval and causes Upheaval to increase the effectiveness of Fate Mirror, the secondary effect of Prescience. These effects are relatively straightforward and don't meaningfully impact the spec's core rotation, but there is certainly a slight bias towards over inherent in this tier set when it comes to how the effects interact with the hero talents' respective toolkits.
