Bonus Warbound until Equipped Gear earned by a player will be one lower tier than the other loot from that source. (Example: Hero Gear from Source will drop bonus Warbound until Equipped Gear at Champion level).

The bonus Warbound until Equipped Gear can drop for any class, and not the class the player is currently on. This might mean that the bonus gear earned might not be directly transferrable if players don't have a readily available character to equip said gear on.

By playing the game, players will occassionally earn gear that is a single tier lower than their current gear that can be sent over to help alternate characters or to help a new class you've been meaning to try.

Thanks for your feedback on Heirlooms! We originally planned to convert heirlooms to be Warbound until equipped to keep gear consistently using the new bind type. Upon further consideration, we’d like to continue to support the playstyle of setting up heirlooms with enchants and gems, then passing them to alts as needed. Given the 11.0.0 patch is today, we can’t easily fix this in the current patch, but it will be changed back in the upcoming 11.0.2 patch.

While unfortunately your gear will become bound if you enchant/equip until the next patch, once it comes out, your heirloom gear will revert to Warbound, allowing you to again pass it between alts after equipping / enchanting it. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and again, thank you so much for the feedback.

Warbound Achievements

Many achievements will be considered "Warband" achievements. Once achieved, players will not need to earn the achievement across multiple characters.

Character-based achievements scores will be retired. Instead, a total Warband achievement score will be tracked and displayed.

There are a few rare exceptions that will stay character-specific. These are often achievements where doing it on one character makes it difficult or interesting to achieve. (Examples: Insane in the Membrane, Memories of Teldrassil, etc.).

Another exception is achievements that are intrinsically per character. "Dreaming of Wyrms" is an example of this. Earning these types of achievements will not apply across all characters.

Rewards granted by achievements will be Warband-wide. Examples of this include titles, dungeon teleports, etc.

Progress for achievements will be tracked across all characters. Personal Crafter is an example of this. If you complete the 500 Personal Crafting Orders across multiple characters, the achievement is earned for the Warband.

Warbound CurrenciestransferHow to Transfer Currencies Between Characters

Open your character sheet and navigate down to the "Currency" tab.

When hovering over certain currencies, a small campfire icon with an arrow above it will display signifying the currency can be transferred between characters.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Whatever character you are currently logged onto is the character that the currency will transfer to. So if a player was logged onto a Warlock and wanted currency from their Priest, they will need to log onto the Warlock to receive the currency.

Click on the currency and select the "Transfer" option over to the right.

A list of all your characters with that currency will display from a dropdown menu along with how much of said currency each character has. Simply input the amount of currency you desire in the "Amount to Transfer" box. At this point, it will display each character's new balance of the currency.

If all looks good, click the "Confirm" button and the currency will instantly transfer!

Quests will only reward Reputation as a first-time completion bonus.

Additional completions of the same quest on alts will reward bonus currency similar to Dragon Isles Supplies instead of Reputation.

Currencies can be transferred across the Warband to purchase various rewards such as cosmetics, mounts, pets, and more!

Transmog collections in The War Within are becoming armor type-agnostic, meaning any character, regardless of their respective armor type, can loot transmog for their other characters to use!

I hope this extends to specific class type armor. Cannot tell you how frustrating it is to run older raid content for gear, such as Blackwing Lair on say a paladin and that super rare rogue items drops that you've run your rogue through 5 dozen times and never saw it.

Reputation in The War Within will become account-wide for all reputation systems introduced throughout the expansion. No more grinding for Exalted across multiple characters! Developers have mentioned wanting to make this new system retroactive for previous reputation systems as well!

I have over 60 exalted reps. This is not a lot but this is also more than most i would presume. Transfer the reps over is my plea.

Yeah.. you get a warband bank IF you have the 2.5 MILLION gold to fork out for it... absolutely ridiculous! I was so excited about warbands and when I found that out? My excitement for it was instantly destroyed. Not all of us are gold farmers or know how to make lots of gold. It's unfair. But whatever. I'm already over it. I'll stick to using my regular bank. I've already been doing that for 20 years. So nothing will change in that department.

So my son and i have different accounts but he is under my main battle net account will that mean we share all as he likes doing his own thing and might not want to have rep shared.

Next we need the ability to summon one of our warband characters as a follower NPC where they earn exp with us. Play your main with your alt following you. Leveling up your alt. Obviously scale the exp to be appropriate. Get to have you own little trainee

Does anyone know if character progression on captured flags in WSG on deleted characters will count for the warband?
Or do I have to restore characters to receive that progression?

Because there are multiple regions you can access via the US account (US, Oceanic, Latin America, Brazil), I guess this means if you had rolled characters on both Oceanic and on US realms, then you'd effectively have two warbands. I'm wondering how someone would toggle those on the login screen...

This was supposed to have been implemented seamlessly in Shadowlands, at least for faction reputation (not for quests). Instead, they added some awkward "once you've spent 3 months grinding with one character you can go to a vendor that we don't list anywhere and buy reputation for your other characters" mechanics, and Dragonflight took reputation grinding to new heights.

It's actually simpler to have account-wide reputations than to store them for individual characters, so that system (and the one in Pandaria, with the items that increased reputation gains for alts) actually involved extra work on their part to force people to grind for the same things multiple times while pretending they were "helping" you.

I'm sure they'll find some way to keep doing that in this expansion.

In EQ2 in 2010, gear that ended up in your back was owened by all toons on your acc. Missed that feature a lot over the years in WOW. As an altoholic i wonder what to do now................just kidding ;) Im happy :)

In regards to the Warband Bank - Will items in the Warband bank be recognized for the purpose of quests or recipes?
For example, can I store all my reagents in there, and have them readily available for recipes right out of that bank (like we can from the personal bank)? Meaning that I can deposit all my reagents into the Warband Bank itself, and have all my alts able to create their recipes, without having to withdraw the individual reagents first?

Finally! I have always thought we should get some kind of recognition for finding all the flight paths in a zone, as simple as that may seem. Even just a flight speed bump is pretty cool! I do wish they'd extend the functionality (or range) of the Flight Master's Whistle.

I have a few toons that I never played after Burning Crusade. They are now level 21 or something.
Does Warband means they will automatically gain EXP and eventually reach level 80 without playing them at all?

Blizzard if you're reading these, please increase the Concentration cap much more than 1000. I think 28 days worth of recharge time would be awesome. Not asking for the current amounts, just the capacities.

The only thing I kinda miss with the new feature is hiding unwanted alts from the list, I hope they will consider, cuz someone who has multiple alts on different servers some who just holds my username or just 1-2 levelled alts so I can play with them on the same server I used to be cuz of raiding. Or just overall have alts I used to play but not, but I don't want to delete them because of their memory value.
It bothers me to an extent, that it fuggs over my list length cuz obviously I only need the characters I WANT (usually the ones that on the same server with me), not all of them that I don't want to delete for various reasons.

So I really hope if not now later down the line they add a feature or checkbox to hide unwanted alts from the lengthy list under the favorites. Would be amazing.

Hi all,

I was wondering if the obtained transmogs are retroactive.

For example, item I picked up years ago on character (A), I never got the transmog for it because my class (A) could not wear it; Will I have it obtained now on character (B)?

Also, transmogs, achie's are subscription wide, does that also count for banned accounts ?

So Warband is a fancier way of saying Account? Warband Bound is the same as Account Bound? Warband progress = Account progress? I mean, they already have Account as a thing, why change the name?

Will Warbound gear have a similar interface as Heirloom gear? Or just gear that can be equipped, unequipped, then put in the Warband Bank for reuse?

In MoP: Remix when I run dungeons or raids, I'm only getting gear which is relevant to my character, for example, if I'm an evoker and I wear mail, I'm only getting mail gear, or weapons only those that I can equip. Shouldn't I be getting other different gear and weapons that I can't equip but I can use for transmog with my other characters?

Multiple WoW accounts tied to same Battle.net account are considered to all be part of the same Warband.

Can't actually tell if this works with Warband Bank until Blizzard gets it working but guessing it will.

UPDATE: Confirmed, Warband Bank is shared by all WoW accounts tied to same Battle.net account.

Quest rewards don't appear to be retroactive now that the patch has gone live, even though they were on PTR.

If it's not a bug or not intended to actually go live until the expansion officially launches you basically have to repeat loremaster multiple times to earn the rewards you should have unlocked via quests you already completed.

The sense of achievement has been lost and utterly destroyed with this account wide mess.
much harder to track exploration progress, questing progress, and other various achievement progress on NEW toons.
Blizzard want people to explore their content?
No sense in doing ALL of the provided daily's (professions) for example when you can farm what you need repeating whichever one is provided endlessly, why farm in all capital cities when the achievement sense is lost, as previous toons have already "earned" the achievement.

I wish Blizzard would fix so all currensies would be Warband-wide without sending it around, same goes with money. I do not understand why Blizzard ALWAYS have to make us do an extra step just to complicate things. Just make it shared to all characters.

If Blizzard insist on having caps on currensies then multiply the cap with the amount of characters you have. If the cap is 1000 for one character, if you have 15 characters then just move the cap to 15.000. They could also add a "K" for thousand, so you get currensie xx/15 K (since some currensies will be very large in number with my suggestions. But I would prefer if Blizzard just removed the caps, at least on everything before TWW.

I would love all my crafting materials to be in the warband bank - and that any of my crafters could craft directly from the new bank. Right now they have to pick it up - or have it in their personal bank.

I love the idea that reagents are accessible now for all account characters through drawing them from the Warbank rather than having to have them in your regular bank or on your toon's personal bags when adventuring. I have a number of tailors on my account on both factions and they can create bolts of any cloth as well as numerous items that do not use any soulbound reagents by drawing items from the Warbank.

This is also true for daily work-order quests that use reagents to fulfill the order, i.e.: in the Warlords of Draenor Garrison, you have the Trading Post work order quest where you exchange herbs, ores, fish, leather or enchanting dust for Garrison Supplies. I use the Garrison as a base of operations for all my toons as it provides banking, auction house and repairs all without being "crowded". When you go to turn in these mats, as I have already removed all of them from the individual characters and put them in the Warbank, where any of them can take them out automatically to do these work order fulfillments. GREAT IDEA! Saves banking space all across the board. Al lof the work-order based activities make use of the Warbank to source their reagents, thanks Blizzard.

When you create foods in your cooking profession, like the Deviously Deviled Eggs, using 5 ingredients, these can be in your Warbank and any character who can make it has access to the reagents through this account wide bank, voila! More banking space saved.

I recently did the Darkmoon Faire profession quests this week and was disappointed to see that you still have to have your reagents either on your character or in their personal bank, as I put the Simple Flour in the Warbank, took it all out of the character's inventory and I could not complete the cooking quest to bread the frogs. Hopefully this will be fixed in an upcoming update.

The only Warbank issue I find ridiculous is the costs involved, that last tab should be 500k, not 2.5 mil, that is absurd and is a plain and simple "money grab" as if you were to buy tokens to have the totaled 3.1 mil, at the current rate that works out to about 10 tokens or $28 plus tax (I'm in Canada) per token, or over $300. That should not be allowed... I'll never have that 5th tab as I won't waste cash on it nor do I relentlessly farm ores and herbs to sell on the AH as I have a whole realm of lands to adventure in rather try to make gold.

Doing some old LFR for transmogs. The first 3 characters looted every set piece for every class, but the others are unable to do it, not counting as warband bound, but soulbond, as used to be. Is it right?

I love how we have to manually transfer the currencies instead of them just being account wide baseline. Extra steps just for the sake of it, quite a delight for the player.

It's account wide, correct? Or do we have to pay 1k each character that wants to use it?
I am utterly confused. I have the little button on all the toons I have accessed today but, when I click it, the blue shiny thing appears but, it doesn't open.

I am a little late to the game on this one, but I admit that I am confused by Warbands. It says that ALL characters on an account will be Warbanded, but on opening the Character Selection Screen there are only 4 characters in the Warband group. Is this the limit? or are they going t expand it later? or am I just clueless as how to add more? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Irritating, and ironic, that if your character has none of a "transferable" currency in the first place, there is no way to transfer any to him. The poor stay poor.

I have alt quest spam now with this quest sharing. I don't need to have my raid related quests show up on my non-raiding alts. Super annoying with all the campaign quest spam everywhere now too.
